Yeah well, I am supposed to go last in the first combat of any game I am in. So this is messed up.

Most of us are rookies (or very inexperienced) in actual superhuman conflict, so it makes a sort of sense...

Blair and Chris will go before Valerie, but I don't think they'll do anything that will change what she's going to do. Please forgive the clumsy visual aid. :?

So, question: if a rank 10 damage effect is only DC 20 to resist, does that lower every effect by a degree or remove the first one that's just a -1 to future saves? For example, if someone got a 17 against it, would they have a -1 against future saves and be Dazed for a turn, or just have the -1?

I'm not 100% sure in all honesty (not helpful, I know). But this is something I wanted to test out in play to see how well (or not) this house rule works. For now, I'll say that in the scenario you give they would have the -1 & the Daze.

this seems to reduce the odds that an attack would have any effect to be much lower. The product may be prolonged combats. The system might need those stacking -1 wounds to get at the 3rd-degrees of failure quicker. We'll see.

Seem to me that the idea is to make Affliction attacks more viable in comparison to Damage. Which corresponds with the caps on Will and Fort saves. I can see where he's coming from and am quite curious as to how it will work out.

I meant to post yesterday but I'm feeling a little sick. Hopefully better soon so I can get caught up

I agree with Flynn. I'm thinking it will drag out combat. But we'll see. Always willing to try ideas.
