Zheuna Shenn is a descendant of humans taken to planet Durhas by Stargods ages ago. Her people were experiencing early decades of industrial revolution when she was born. Her family was of a warrior caste and she was trained in many subjects, including the use of swords and firearms. Complimenting her upbringig, her nature was of a warrior, fierce and bold with a quick temper. She became a loyal soldier for her homeland and earned a reputation for her bold decisions. However, her career was not meant to continue.

Cult of the Devourer were conspiring to summon demonic legions to her world and they finally managed to open a gate to their homeworld. Merciless creatures laid waste to many lands, entire populations perished in a matter days. People of Durhas fought back but they were no match for the extradimensional invaders. In those desperate times, mystics of Durhas decided to use an ancient weapon, Blood Stone; a gem containing vas cosmic power, created by Stargods. Thousands of people took their own lives by ritualistic sacrifice to empower the ritual so their families would survive. And it worked. Newly awakened gem chose a host to bond with; young warrior Zheuna, chosen among many talented young men and women. Gaining the power of a goddess, she fought back against the demons fiercely, killed most of the legion and the arch-devil leading them.

She became the saviour of her own world, a status she used as leverage to gain even more power. She began to conquer nations by her might and her loyal soldiers. It wasn't long before she became the goddess emperor of Durhas. But people with burn with the desire for more power. Mages and scientists of Durhas knew there were other worlds full of sentient beings, space pirates who raided the planet a century ago was a certain proof. She ordered her mages to communicate with these worlds and locate them. After decades of research, they managed to lead a trading ship to Durhas. Galaxia welcomed them with open arms and learned from them the art of navigating through space. She took to the stars when she learned where to conquer first.

In few years she began to attract space pirates and mercenaries to her cause. She spent decades fighting and enlarging her army. Galaxia managed to conquer more than one planet. In the end she earned the wrath of The Galactic Republic and Star Guardians. They destroyed her armada and chased her off to a distant corner of the galaxy...
Her first encounter with the earthlings was far from peaceful as it should be expected from her. People's Republic of China didn't want an unregistered and unknown metahuman in it's territory and this has resulted a battle between government forces and Galaxia, which cost the lives of few thousand people. Naturally she quickly earned a high place in wanted list of The Foundation for Global Defense. Her nickname came from her speech about ruling the galaxy.

She is originally a character from Champions RPG- Solo Villains. Her background was left vague so I needed to write one for her.

Crime Lords

This mercenary team was born of love rather than war. Dreadnought and Tiger Lily were mercenaries who worked together on occasion. Their familiarity and mutual attraction turned into dates and eventually blossomed into love by time. After becoming a couple, they began to work most of the time as a pair and decided to form a team and gather more mercenaries by their side. Their first choice was Morgaine the Mystic, a friend who worked with them before and joined them in bed few times. Starflare, who worked with Morgaine before, was their second recruit.After a while, Dreadnought decided they needed someone with technical skills. A mercenary with power armor, Warhammer, with whom Dreadnought worked on occasion, was captured by Assad's forces in Syria. They attacked the base where he was held and saved him from imprisonment. The grateful Warhammer naturally accepted their offer to join them. He was their last recruit.

The team joined battles in Africa, South America and Middle East (especially in Iraq and Syria) and all members have considerable experience. They are quite adept at teamwork and efficient. Their last employment brought them to Turkey; they have worked for the Democratic Union of People and fought against Islamic State. Some of the members have criminal charges or served time in jail, so their team name is not undeserved.

Jimmy Corrigan was a lonely and scrawny little kid, so he was targeted by bullies frequently. That changed in 2005 when he was 16. AFter being humiliated and beaten, an immense anger filled him, accompanied by an agonizing pain. Though he was blind to the change his body was experiencing in his moment of rage, he broke the bones of his last tormentor. After realising he was a mutant whose genes just activated, he found the other bullies and taught them their lesson. An Aegis squad came to arrest him and he was put into a juvenile detention facility. No one did anything while he was being used as a punchbag for years but as son as he turned the tables the system came for him. Understanding
that the justice system was not his friend, he bid his time till he was released on his eighteenth birthday. His power levels increased by time as happened to the most mutants and now wiser than before, he began his career as a ruthless mercenary. His unjust detention has made him sympathetic to the mutant supremacist groups and invidiuals, such as Metarchy and Gravitar.

Suzy Kee was born in Bangkok as the daughter of a Thai prostitute and one of her western clients. She grew up in a certainly unhealthy and disturbing conditions and it was apparent that prostitution was going to be her destiny too. But her life changed when she manifested mutant powers at puberty. The local mafia which "protects" her mother took notice of the event and decided to train her as their hitman. She was tutored by experienced Muay Thai coaches and killed her first target with her bare hands when she was 15.

She spent her early years as an assassin and thug of the mob. However, she decided her talent was wasted by their petty crimes, she killed her boss and her men and left Thailand. She quickly made a name for herself as a skillful mercenary. Few years later she met Dreadnought and fell in love with him.

Morgaine Drury was familiar with the occult as far as she can remember. Her mother was a witch of significant power and trained her in the ways of magic. However, there was more to her than that, she could manifest powers at an early age before her training came to fruition. Her mother didn't like to mention her father and left him something of a mystery, she only told her that he was a being of immense power.

Young Morgaine decided to make the best use of her powers was to make a lot of money. She began to work as a stage performer. Even though she loved the attention of the audience, this job didn't satisfy her need for excitement. After a few years, she began to work as a mercenary. In the battlefield, she strangely felt at home; she couldn't deny the demonic blood in her veins.

His earliest memories are of running around his old family house as a kid; he remembers the hall and the garden. If you ask him, he will tell you that his mutant powers were activated when he started a fight because of a girl in high school. Fortunately, no one got hurt by his laser beams that day. However, most of his memories are false. He was created in an artifial uterus lying in seaside near a fishing town in East Coast. His creators are Deep Ones living underwater and their humanoid half-breed servants. DNA from a metahuman codenamed Starfire was used to create his zygot. Starflare was already a grown man when he was "born". All the necessary paperwork for him done by the cultists of The Lord of the Deep.

After his birth, he spent his first weeks in his family house, observed by his "parents". When he stepped to the outside world, he decided the life of a mercenary is meant for an adventurer like him. Reckless and hotheaded, he quickly earned a reputation as an agressive fighter. It didn't take long for his path to cross with Crimelords. The mental blocks placed in his head by his creators protect his fake memories from outside intrusions and he waits as a sleeper agent among metahuman population.

I forgot to mention that Crimelords are from Champions RPG. Their stats and backstories are given in Champions Volume Two- Villain Teams, but I've changed some of their backgrounds.

Craig Turner was a nerd growing up, small and scrawny, bullied by other kids. Being a very smart and successful student didn't help with his popularity. He was into comics and science, his escape routes to other universes. After finishing high school with honors, he studied mechanical engineering in MIT. This was when a crazy idea struck him; he could be tougher than any of his bullies by using his technological genius! He began to write his greatest project, years of study and work followed. His mutant genius allowed him to make advancement sno ordinary man could. The patents he engineered along the way earned him enough funds. His greatest invention, Warhammer power armor was ready.

He stepped into mercenary world, embarked on a career that shows he is not only smart but tough and strong. During his fighting years, he met another mercenary Dreadnought. Dreadnought remembered his old friend when they were forming a new team, his technical skills would be a fine addition.

Ancient Relic: Even though he tried to adapt, he belongs to an era far different from ours.

Malador was born in the city state of Atlantis around 14.000 BC, in the Age of Mu. He was child gifted with great intelligence and mystic talent, which didn't go unnoticed by mages and tutors. He became a prodigial student of the mystic arts and a master later. His ambition recognized no boundaries and he quickly rose in the ranks of his wizardly order. His forte was the summoning of interdimensional beings, many demons, elementals and spirits alike did his bidding. In his later years, he discovered the beings of alien nature and immense power, Gods of Madness. Malador bargained with these unspeakable beings from other dimensions and promised to help them gain a foothold in his world in exchange for greater power. He summoned the servants of those mad gods into the world, introduced them to his circle of mages and gained arcane lore in return. With necromantic magic, he lived far beyond the lifespan of his people, which was already over 120 years. Eventually, he transformed himself into a deathless being.

However, his dark nature and small cult were discovered by the prominent mages of his homeland. A great battle ensued and he was overcome by the sheer numbers. As a punishment for endangering the whole world, his immortal body was kept in a stasis field which made him feel immense pain, buried deep underground in the wilderness of American continent. He was defeated but his influence lingered for millenia. Malador was only first among the mages who bargained with these foul entities. Some of the cultists and eldritch servants manage to hide their presence, the influence of Mad Gods increased and eventually consumed Atlantis. Stargods, who created the race of the atlanteans in the first place decided to purge the earth from this corruption and prevent the potential dangers, destroyed Atlantis and other states of magic and ended the Age of Mu.

Even though the people who imprisoned him were gone, wards holding him stood still for over ten thousand years. Only in the late 1980's, archeologists uncovered his tomb and unwittingly awakened the undead mage. He interrogated his saviors and eventually slew them. His first instinct was to gather living and unliving servants for himself. However, he knew that he was in a strange new world. He laid low, hiding his true nature with illusions, observing his surroundings and interrogating people he caught by his spells. Eventually he decided a war zone where people had less of those new technological gimmicks could be a better dominion for him than the city of steel he stayed in for a while. He went to Afghanistan where mujahideen were fighting the USSR.

He summoned demons and used them to conquer towns. He carved a domain for himself in northwestern portions of the Afghanistan. This naturally started his conflict with Soviet forces. His wide arsenal of spells proved to be an unpredictable and effective element against the Red Army. His success caught the attention of CIA and soon he gained covert support from USA. However, Order of Light decided to help Soviet forces since they knew the nature of this ancient threat. They managed to locate his headquarters and informed the Soviet intelligence. A group of metahumans led by Proletarian killed destroyed his body. His orichalcum mask and other remains were brought back to Moscow for research.

The artifacts he left behind spent years in laboratories to be used by scientists and occultists. After a few years, it took one moment of carelessness and a scientist grabbed the mask without a glove protecting his bare skin. His mind possessed the unfortunate victim's body and he was free to roam the world again.

This time he chose a more subtle approach. Instead of using brute force, he tried to create a power base in society. He started a new age cult in USA, offering enlightment. His displays of power and occult knowledge quickly gained him a follower base. Malador began to spread the faith of Mad Gods among his followers and organized the training of few cultists with magical potential. However, Order of Light was prepared for his return. While observing various cults, they discovered his followers and their doctrine of worshipping old gods. Another reborn Atlantean mage, Naran The Wise sent spies to infiltrate his cult. In the meantime they used contacts in government to warn them of the growing danger. They managed to locate his whereabouts and government's the most powerful metahuman team, Freedom Force, accompanied by Naran The Wise attacked him in his mansion outside the San Francisco. The battle between the task force and cultist mages caused a forest fire but as minimum civilian deaths as possibly ecan be expected from such a fight. This time they managed to destroy his mask and kill him once and for all.

Oh hey- nice stuff! Good to see another build thread on here! I wish I had more time to read through everyone's stuff these days! Tiger Lily has an interesting backstory (what's become of her mother?) and the idea of a magic-user who uses it to perform mercenary work is interesting. Are these all from the Champions game and were translated over? I recognize Malador from the Green Ronin stuff.

Thank you. Mad Axe is an original character. Others are adapted from Champions RPG. However, I made some changes to fit them into my setting. For example Starflare is a clone created by a mad scientist instead of Deep Ones in the original material. Galaxia's backstory was left vague, she was a generic space conquerer who was driven away by a some sort of galactic alliance, I turned her into a once noble dictator. Overall I want to give adapted characters a more cape-punk touch.
