Willow considers the plan. "Sound like a good plan. I'll stay on this side an' guard the portal. Keep the locals from gettin' too curious 'bout it or interferin'."

Sashura Vlasova

Sashura makes sure all her gear is set. She debates whether to activate Chelydra's shield and/or the Auto-Buckler, but
decides against it. The Shield is rather luminous, and the Auto-Buckler only has limited uses.

Best wait until they're needed instead of drawing too much attention ....

If they were all decided, Moira would lead the way to the 3 pyres. She'll ask for a folk or two to take care of tany Haunts that might arise and pick a spot in view of them and activate Bridging I, letting Raptage strike the ground to set the first, then commanding the totem to take to the skies.

Lloyd is stoically nearby. He knows Bridging is a hard power, prone to Haunts for even most experienced casters. Heartwood is ready in his grip.

The group moving out towards the pyre grounds does garner some attention, particularly from the guards, due in part thanks to Lloyd and Dog's antics earlier. As the group arrives, they are met by the mayor and a retinue of guards, and can see there are several townsfolk busily trying to scrape away and undo Lloyd's "graffiti".

"I should have known you lot would return. Plannig more sabotage is it?!" The mayor seems a mite bit stressed. Anyone looking at Willow would see she's clutching her bond weapon white-knuckled, but holding herself back from doing something reckless, giving the group a chance to deal with the obstacle.

Lloyd steps next to Moira.
"Your plan, still good. Maybe go light so is easier to move you if needed." Lloyd suggests in low tones.

Moira nods first willing herself lighter than air then, with a nod to Raptage, the bird of prey lands to scratch the ground. He takes off immediately, heading into the air, high and fast. The bird diverts only to rake at the Haunt (if needed) [3 successes to pop the Haunt].

Once Moira's safe she'll transfer senses to her companion.

From Moira's airborne point of view, she can't see Old Petram, but can get a good idea of the scope of the ashlands. Roughly estimating, she can figure the group will need to stall Mayor Ciago and the villagers for at least twenty minutes as the Raptor flies.

Speaking of which, Moira's totem is able to deal with the single haunt before anyone notices as their attention is entirely on your group, not the bird.

He saw the Haunt form but before Heartwood could swing down it was gone in a flash of feathers and talons.

Lloyd heard the requested time limit.

Ericka Akcire

Breathing in, Ericka let false confidence wash over her and approached closer upon Lloyd's request. She decides to lead off with something that edges on the borders of truth without fully diving into falsehood, "Sir... You know what we are. We're acting only in the interests of our guild, for your benefit. It was never our intention to come to your town and sabotage your traditions".

Lloyd sidles over to Sashura. "If Ericka Petrifies someone, can your expanded Restoration powers unstone them?" Lloyd asks for no particular reason whatsoever.

She had to think about that for a bit.

"Not really sure." she replied, "As far as I know, turning someone to stone kills them. All unpetrifying them might do is change them from a statue into a standard corpse.

I really should check up on that ... "

While Ericka's words do seem to touch some of the villagers among the crowd, the mayor is not one of them. "The guide doesn't operate here. There's no hall, no outpost. Petram has always taken care of itself because the guild can't be bothered. Our ways have kep up protected for years!" the mayor of Petram fumes. The guards look nervous, but stand between the wielders and the pyres, hands on weapons, but none drawn, yet.
It was a really good roll, but not quite enough to sway the mayor. But you didn't make things worse at least.

Ericka Akcire

Ericka shifts uncomfortably, hearing the whispers behind her back. It's not like she was going to start stabbing them out of nowhere, for no reason at all! In fact, she was trying very hard right now to make sure they didn't give one to start with. Couldn't they understand that she really didn't want to be forced into violent slaughter? "Maybe so, but things are changing. Our mistake in not protecting you here have led to misfortune elsewhere... The things that have plagued Petram have evolved beyond it. We're finally going to do what we should've done for your town at the start, if only you'd let us make our amends as wielders were meant to do."
