Strange, once again, Dog doesn't feel that supernatural, primal fear that wielders are warned about when dealing with akuma. He has no problem pulling the trigger beyond his own hesitance. Perhaps stranger still, the bullet pierces the Akuma and drops it dead in its tracks. It collapses the the ground and ceases moving, sputtering lightly as the body continues to try and live for a few moments longer but then goes still, vanishing from Lloyd's life sense.

Right after, the air around it shimmers like the heat off a tin roof and its form changes, shrinking somewhat, the features becoming more human, flesh turning pale though with clear signs of corruption, the heavy pillar weapon reduced to a spontoon.
A brief pause in the combat, so go ahead and act freely, but keep your AT as they are. I won't have you reroll them since you already spent several turns building them up as is xD

Oh, also go ahead and roll 1d6. Looking for 5 or 6.

Lore: 3
Magic: No

As the creature fell and power swept over the field, Ericka couldn't help but feel a sharp sense of dread.
Am I dead? Am I alive? The answer may surprise you!

Sashura Vlasova
Wounds 0/7
AT : 6
Resistances 5/2/2/3
Auto Buckler primed

This was turning into an ... interesting... day.

Charging an akuma was usually a very bad idea - it sounded like something she would do.

And Sashura knew that firearms could deal some damage - but taking down an akuma with just one shot from a hand weapon ?!

Then its form shimmered and changed. Some sort of illusion ?

She looked about cautiously, wondering just how much of the area was real (if any)), and what (if any) was illusion.

Grigor "Dog" Geddings
AT: 6 Wounds: 5/5

Dog watches in shock as the akuma drops from a shot to the head.

Frantically he fumbles for his powder to reload his flintlock.

"Is it dead?" He asks, obviously half expecting it to jump to its feet any moment now, "Do we gotta chop off its head and bury it at the crossroads?"

Would you like a random new ruin power, or to enhance on of your existing powers by ranking it up or adding a glyph?

Lady Moira Sterling
Moira AT: 7
Raptage AT: 5>4
Bearrage AT: 6>6

Moira felt the release of ruinous magic rush over her.
death: 1D6 = [6] = 6 was this for a crown?
She swiveled her gun toward the North building having been alerted that the being they faced had an ally there.

On the street, her bear trundled forward going wide of the runes using the plant paths laid out for it.
[I'm assuming the green circle is second patch of Fertile, if not I can adjust. Move action then step. Is there a back door or broken wall on this side of the Northern building?
And Raptage changed it's course of flight Northward flying over the rooftop to try to get eyes in through the broken roof.
Move action then step as well.
Moira shifts her sight to Raptage's eyes.
senses trick: 6D6 = [4, 1, 6, 3, 4, 5] = 23
success needed for trick.
Moira steps then casts trick

Nope, not a crown. Just a power. Choose if you want a random ruin power or to improve one of your existing powers
As Bearage trundles forward, it sets off one of the akuma's sigil traps a great out of flame bursting upwards under the bear and searing it.
3 elemental damage to Bearrage. I'll allow you to alter your movement with him from the point he set off the sigil if you like.

I'll follow Dog's lead and go random.

They were all the way across?! KMSO!

armor soaks 1, he's at 9 remaining. He'll continue forward on his route.

EDIT: Does Moira need a perception check to see into the house through Raptage? or are the angles not quite right yet?
And any back entrances to the North house?

Lloyd Millhaus
AT: 9 || Wounds: 7/7 || Casting: 6D6

Lloyd will frown upon seeing the bear trigger a rune. He could easily see all the line thusly trapped.

He Channeled his energy to grow the spectral tree around Heartwood and struck out at the three spaces along the line of runes dragging the energy tre deep to score out the runes in a line.
Minor action: Cunning for trick: 6d6=5, 5, 1, 3, 3, 1 18 go success needed for energy strike.

Action Strike: strike: 10d6=5, 1, 2, 5, 5, 6, 6, 4, 1, 5 40 6 successes
reach + elemental weapon let's him his 2 hexes away, collateral hits 3 targets in that range of weapon. all three of those hexes take 6 elemental damage.
Power roll: power: 1d6 3

_: 1D6 = [5] = 5 That is Superheated!
Bearrage continues to go forward despite the wash of flame and walks right into another trap! The ground suddenly glows and melts into molten, consuming what remained of what used to be the town fountain and igniting the edges of the verdant greenery created by Lloyd's power, giving the bear hardly a moment to react as the ground quite literally melts under it!
Annnnd Bearrage activates a Volcanic trap! It ruins two hexes of Lloyd's power, but doesn't like, cause flames to spread. Fertile doesn't create dry plant matter, so it won't burn easy.

But, Bearrage needs a T3 agility save or take 3 elemental damage that ignore armor. This will only affect him once when the trap activates, otherwise it would only affect him again if he started his next turn there.
Meanwhile, Lloyd makes a wide-arcing sweep with his weapon to clear the way of the other trap sigils, the two known and the third theorized, but rightly so.

Raptage can see partially into the ruined building through the hole on the roof, but the angle isn't good enough to make out any detail. Whatever it is, it's larger than the "akuma" the group just fought.

I take it this is for Moira's power? Neat!
AGI Tier 3, this can't go well and Bearrage doesn't have a soaked cloak.

"There's something in the Northern building, its... big. And watch out for more runes." Moira says aloud.
Is there any way in to the building on this side?

Ericka Akcire

  • Resistance: 6/2/2/3

Ericka swallows rather thickly, before reaching up to animate another of her duplicate spears.

Sashura Vlasova
Wounds 0/7
AT : 6
Base Defense 5; with Auto Buckler 6
Resistances 5/2/2/3 (Slash 5/Pierce 2/Impact 2/Elemental 3)
Auto Buckler primed, 5 uses remain

Sashura noted there were many explosions. One of Moira's bears set off one of those hidden glyphs - and kept moving ! Very tough bear.

It seemed most the surroundings and the explosive glyphs were real.

She noted that Moira said there was something in a building to the north. Something big.

But, having once been slapped around by a Warchmogger, she wasn't sure how big of a threat whatever was to the north actually was.

Well, physically threatening that is. Probably much greater threat from magic and elemental damage.

Grigor "Dog" Geddings
AT: 6 Wounds: 5/5

"Damn it all," Dog mutters under his breath, "I knew it was too easy."

He concentrated and pulled on a power that resonated strongly with his weapons, filling it with a power that he somehow knew would protect him and hurt the creature they were hunting.

As the impish haunts appear around Dog in his hasty attempt to enchant his weapon before the battle resumes, the charred doors of the main building explode outwards in a shower of splinters and from within the large humanoid form of Helmontra steps forth.

Unlike the disguised human, Helmontra is significantly taller, embers floating from the glowing holes of her mouth and eye-sockets, her eyes long gone. When she speaks, it is raspy and hard to understand on its own, but reinforced by magical sound, overlayed almost as if speaking with two voices simultaneously, one clear and articulate, the other raspy and harsh.

"That is my second servant you have slain...you intrude in Petram and you intrude in Old Petram. There will be no mercy." It's hard to place her tone anywhere but barely restrained rage at the slights against her, and with a raspy shout of pure, burning rage, the akuma extends her arm towards Bearrage, firing a tiny bead that glares like a miniature sun towards the totemic beast.
We are back in combat and Helmontra is not playing around. She is firing an explosive dart at Bearrage.
Spoiler
She rolled 6 hits on the attack roll, so that is what is needed to evade! If Bearrage fails, it's 6 injuries of Elemental damage (No correlation, the rolls were separate. Cunning to hit with the dart, then a flat 12 dice of damage. She rolled real good.)
This Akuma is the real thing! You will need you Cunning check to successfully attack if you attempt it.
