Okay, well, I'll post the result for Ericka's attempt after work today. Haven't heard from Prof Weird on it, but it's been a week ^^;

I blame my shifty dice if they turn hostile.

So... are they trying to prevent us from doing anything?
Because I'd rather not start a fight if the solution is just ignoring them and walking by ;~)

They are actively standing in your way to bar you from the pyre ground. Of course they can't stop the bird, but also didn't pay it much attention since it just flew off over them (as far as they know, and even if they observed it scratch the ground, until the other portal site is set up, there's really nothing to see yet)

They certainly don't look like they want to fight, but are poised to do so, whether they want to or not because the guy in power has told them to, and considering this is their livelihood...they don't got a lot of options.

Was the portal endpoint set on our side or their side of the pyres? Is there a reason we need past them?

Moira was ambiguous about it, but it seems intended the portal was at the group's feet, unless Vivid would like to specify otherwise.

Still, being present is raising tensions, even if you don't try to cross the line, and a portal opening on the ground and leading to the ashlands is going to cause some panic.

Just some details to keep in mind. :)

Hey Doc, your link to your persuasion roll has no url to the actual roll. Can you fix that please? I want to see something.

I have no idea why I never put it in. Fixed it, and I'll put it here for good measure.

that the akuma likely didn't know or care about.
It is common knowledge to weilders that akuma are mad. It's actually just as likely that it does know and care about the sacrifices as not. ^^;

I did mean to put it by us, visible from the pyres but not that close in case they thought it was a trick or attack.

Great job persuading and otherwise keeping us all alive! :)

Anything else? Any equipment or item requests before I have the results of Moira's efforts revealed?

I also recognize the time of the year, so understand if peopel are getting busier. Just want to give a gentle poke and let you guys know I'm still here, just waiting on any input. Even fi that input is to say you've got nothing to add at this time.

Some healing items might be good to have.

Fuels might be a good ask! :D

Keep in mind also, this is going to be walking towards the final boss encounter for the adventure. I may retire this game after that. I'll visit it when we get there since it might still be a few months out, but most likely if I do, I'll be replacing it with another Soulbound game, or maybe try something else I've picked up from KS. Maybe Andi's new game Between Clouds (which is in beta). Maybe I'll run an interest check among a few I've got my eyes on.

Who knows, but just a heads up.

I have other Soulbound character ideas I'd like to try! And the new game from that crew has an interesting premise.
