Re: Tales from the Trails (Soulbound) - (Full)
A bit later in the day than I intended, but I got swept up in unpacking and organizing my things. My place is looking much better, and more importantly is more comfortable as a living space than it was with boxes and totes all over.
But, post is up today like I promised!

Happy Thanksgiving.

Are we thinking Helmontra has an acolyte among the townsfolk? That seems pretty far-fetched given how difficult Boris had it to blend in.

Just gonna point out, since it has been a while since it has been noted.
New Petram has no guild presence. You guys and Willow represent the only wielders in the village, and frankly have nothing to fear from common folk.
The mayor may want to lock you up or demand you leave, but he lacks any actual ability to force you either way, and the mayor would well know that if he tried to pick that fight, he would lose badly.

That's not to say Dog's comment is invalid. Certainly reasonable to try and avoid a potential fight, even if it's one you would very likely rofflestomp your way through. Especially when it's humans involved.
Re: Tales from the Trails (Soulbound) - (Full)
With only five HP to count, a handful of guards seems like a dangerous run.
...
Though honestly I more worried about the more noble members of our team not wanting to have to curbstomp a bunch of semi-innocent guards ;~)

The average armors we are rocking are likely to stymie average town guards. I agree the risk is minimal and they know it.
Dog's a master at intimidation and can easily get 3 or 4. I think we could have handled that encounter easy.

Probably, probably.
Am I dead? Am I alive? The answer may surprise you!

What time of day is it?
We should probably still go no matter what, but I’m just curious.

Later afternoon. Not quite dinner time, but time to start thinking about cooking, if that makes sense.Flynnarrel wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 8:18 am What time of day is it?

Just need to know if you're going high and fast or low and safe with your Raptor.

I vote high and fast. (if it's a vote)
Thoughts on that: the raptor is not the sturdiest but can prolly take a hit. Even if it's reduced to 0 it reverts back and even in gun form your ability to see from it's perspective still works. The condition for the portal endpoint is that the Bond needs to 'strike' the surface, which a falling gun will still do to the ground when it impacts letting you trigger the end portal, go through, recover your (now inert) gun. Depending on how up it was when it reverted it might have hit the ground hard enough to knock the sights off and you might have a penalty to attack with it until you can do maintenance out-of-combat. That seems a reasonable tradeoff.
