Complications
- Conditional Ownership: Harry is nowhere near as wealthy on the surface world as he is within Atlantis, and is therefore treated as though he only has a single rank in the Benefit, Wealth advantage while on dry land instead of the five ranks he has while under the waves.
- Honor: Harry prefers to judge people based upon their actions, and not their words. Furthermore, when someone is in trouble, he is always ready to lend them a helping hand.
- Motivation: Justice: Harry firmly believes that tyrants must never be allowed to oppress the people, and therefore stands in direct opposition to Lord Voldemort and his minions, the Death Eaters.
- Power Loss: Harry must be able to make the appropriate gestures, and speak the relevant incantations, in order to cast his spells. This means that effects which deprive him of the ability to move or speak could cost him the ability to use his magic for however long they are in effect. Since he is an Atlantean, it is possible for Harry to speak the aforementioned incantations while he is submerged in a body of water.
- Responsibility: Harry feels it is his duty to protect those who are unable to protect themselves. He has also recently discovered that he is the Crown Prince of Atlantis, and thus responsible for ensuring the wellbeing of the people live below the waves.
- Weakness: Spending extended time away from water (about 24 hours) causes Harry to dehydrate and weaken, leading to a situation where he begins gaining levels of Fatigue as per the rules regarding Starvation & Thirst in the Deluxe Hero's Handbook on page 238.

Complications
- Fame: While not necessarily the most feared creature in the ocean, the Leviathan is probably the most famous due to the fact that it makes an appearance in the Biblical books of Psalms (74:14), Isaiah (27:1) and Job (41:1-34), and according to Job in particular, it is a creature without equal, though this is debatable in the present day and age.
- Monstrous: At 150 feet in length, the Leviathan is the world's longest snake, and is more than capable of sinking just about any ship to have ever sailed the seven seas. It is also one of the few sea serpents that can actually leave the ocean.

Rite of Katabasis Brainstorm & Notes

Rite of Katabasis
Premise: When a god dies, their essence never truly disappears, but is instead transformed in such a way that the deity will one day be reborn. Sometimes, this rebirth happens in such a manner that the deity is actually born as a human being… Such was the case when Lord Hades was reborn as young Harry Potter!
Required Inclusions:
- Harry must be more than willing to use lethal force against his enemies, as befits the reincarnation of Lord Hades, the god who rules over the Dead.
- Harry’s divine awakening must occur either before he starts attending Hogwarts, during one of his summers away from the school, or immediately after uniting the Deathly Hallows.
- Harry, as the reincarnation of Lord Hades, must discover that he has both a religious following in the magical world, and also Divine Servants, such as the Erinyes.
- If this story begins prior to Harry’s time at Hogwarts, then his personality must be different from what it was in the canonical series, since he has access to the memories of Lord Hades.
- On the other hand, if it occurs after he starts at Hogwarts, then his change in disposition must cause a schism to form within the Golden Trio and Order of the Phoenix.
- Harry’s primary romantic pairing must be Persephone, if she is still alive, or Lysia of the Erinyes, if Persephone has passed on to the Next Great Adventure.
- Sirius must be one of Harry’s allies, even if he is unable to help with the Order due to the fact that he is either on the run, or else already fell through the Veil of Death.
- Harry must renew the Familiar Bond that Hades once shared with Cerberus upon his initial descent into the Underworld, which will occur not long after his Divine Awakening.
Preferred Inclusions:
- This story should feature a female version of Voldemort, who would much rather form an alliance with Harry instead of leaving herself open to his wrath. Bonus points if she’s gorgeous.
- If set after Harry’s first year at Hogwarts, then the Golden Trio should ultimately go their separate ways once Harry undergoes his Divine Awakening.
- Certain types of Dark Creatures, particularly Cerberi, Vampires and Dementors, should have a close connection to Hades and the Realm of the Dead.
- Harry should lay claim to Azkaban Fortress and use it as his base of operations within the Mortal World, since it is so heavily steeped in the powers of Death.
Optional Inclusions:
- This story could be a crossover with the DC Cinematic Universe, since that fandom includes a scenario where Hades is predeceased.
- Harry could use his powers over the dead to bind Astoria’s spirit to him when she dies from the Blood Malediction so that she can visit with her loved ones whenever he’s in the mortal world.
Forbidden Things:
- Other people convincing Harry to give up his powers.
- Harry denying his powers as the Lord of the Dead.
- Harry being involved in a male-slash pairing.
- Harry, the pathetic emo doormat.

Familia, Focius, Domus Brainstorm & Notes

Familia, Focius, Domus
Premise: Harry’s origins weren’t exactly what his spiteful aunt told him. After all, no amount of sputtered denials could hide the fact that he could bench press his uncle’s company car with little to no effort. He was content to bide his time during his summers away from Hogwarts, waiting for his coming of age, at least until a svelte blonde literally crashed into the nearby park!
Required Inclusions:
- Clark Kent is not the only Kryptonian currently on Earth, there are a few others, but they went native a long time ago, and have been living incognito ever since.
- One of those groups came from the House of Van, but they changed their name to Evans so that they would more easily blend in with the local populace.
- Thus Harry is actually a Half-Kryptonian and Half Homo-Magi, with abilities that are unheard of on either side of his heritage.
- In the summer after his Fourth year, Harry will have taken to hanging out at the local park to get away from the stifling atmosphere of Privet Drive as much as possible.
- To his great surprise, one evening a teenage girl that is around his age will crash into the park, fighting against a slightly older girl who could only be her sister.
- Since the elder blonde is not being mindful of the collateral damage she is causing, Harry will side with the younger blonde in her efforts to defeat the older girl.
- Having long since figured out how to channel his magic into his limbs to augment his fighting capacity, Kara and Harry will give Galatea a lesson she won’t forget.
- Since his magic was roughly formed and not a proper spell, as well as being done in the absence of a wand, it was not detected by the Improper Use of Magic Office.
- A few minutes after the older blonde was knocked out, Kara’s cousin arrives on the scene and makes the executive decision to bring Harry along for debriefing after restraining Galatea.
- Harry and Kara will become fast friends with a romance between them soon on the horizon, since fighting together is a great way to forge lasting bonds.
- Of course, Harry’s departure from his summer residence will not sit well with Professor Dumbledore, who will do his best to track down and ‘collect’ the troublesome boy.
- While Harry will gladly accept any offer of further training, he will refuse to become an assigned sidekick, preferring to either stick with Kara or do his own thing independently.
- Harry will give Lex Luthor a lot to think over after he points out how the businessman can actually be better than Superman by using his resources to aid the world.
Preferred Inclusions:
- What Harry lacks in strength compared to pureblood Kryptonians, he should make up for with far more developed reflexes and agility.
- To help focus his negative emotions in a productive way, Harry should study a form of martial arts, bonus points if he and Dudley bond over their shared interest in the combat arts.
- Of course, with Harry’s bipolar luck, the Dementors should have chosen to make their home visit on the heels of Kara and Galatea’s arrival in Little Whinging.
- It is extremely hard to permanently kill a Kryptonian who’s had years to absorb yellow solar energy, thus it’s quite possible that Harry’s mother will come back to life at some point.
- In the same vein, it’s possible that Harry’s maternal grandparents still live since they are also Kryptonians, though they may have returned to Krypton prior to its destruction.
- Diana’s reputation as Wonder Woman should be known all across the Magical World, since she would have fought alongside Albus Dumbledore in the war against Grindelwald.
Optional Inclusions:
- To make things easier for the Kryptonians, Dementors could have a distinct weakness to the solar energy that is infused into a Kryptonian’s Heat Vision.
- Magic could be the key to breaking Galatea’s programming and allowing her to start discovering who she is as a distinct individual who is free to make her own choices in life.
- Petunia could have a genetic defect that will only allow her to develop superpowers underneath the light of a red sun, like that which Krypton orbits, instead of a yellow one.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry being scared into submission by members of the Bat Clan.
- Harry losing his iconoclastic and anti-authoritarian attitudes.
- Harry and his lovers, the pathetic emo doormats.
- Harry going back to the life of a full-time civilian.

- Enemy: Lord Voldemort will stop at nothing in order to see Harry put into an early grave, but would much prefer to do the dirty deed himself, rather than letting one of his minions take up the responsibility on his behalf.
- Honor: Harry prefers to judge people based on their actions, and not their words. Furthermore, if someone is in trouble, he's always ready to lend them a helping hand.
- Motivation: Justice: Harry believes that tyrants must never be allowed to oppress the people, which is why he stands in direct opposition to Voldemort and the Death Eaters.
- Power Loss: Harry will lose all of his Kryptonian superpowers when exposed to the light of a red star, like that which sits at the heart of the Kryptonian star system, since such light interferes with his genetic enhancements. - Mindlinked: Kara shares a subconscious mental link with her clone, Galatea, that allows them to subtly influence one another. This is a fact that Kara is largely unaware of, and which Galatea absolutely despises.
Motivation: Free Thinking: Kara believes that inquiry and curiosity are the pillars of progress, and regularly pushes the boundaries of what is acceptable, even among her friends and allies in the Justice League.

- Motivation: Acceptance: Given the life she has led, Galatea prefers not to meddle in the affairs of others, since she believes it only causes trouble for both herself and other people. The exception to this is in regards to her romantic life.

- Impulsive: Tracey has difficulties keeping her true feelings hidden, even with the assistance of Occlumency, and her sharp tongue often lands her in trouble.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Tracey likes seeing smiles on the faces of her friends and family, and likes it even more when she is the one who makes them smile. This is especially important to Tracey, since little Astoria Greengrass needs as many reasons to smile as possible given that her outlook in life isn't very pleasant.
