Dum Spiro Spero Brainstorm & Notes

Dum Spiro Spero
Premise: When Harry Potter was but a year old, he became the Hope of Wizarding Britain by seemingly killing the Dark Lord Voldemort. He then spent the next ten years Hoping for someone to save him from the Dursley family. At eleven, that very Hope came true when he was introduced to the Wizarding World. Watch now, as Harry becomes the youngest Blue Lantern in living memory!
Required Inclusions:
- Harry Potter must become a Blue Lantern Ring Bearer during the first chapter of this story, with his “indoctrination” into the Blue Lantern Corps taking up at least one full chapter.
- The length of time between when Harry becomes a Ring Bearer and the beginning of his “indoctrination” is up to the author, but it should take no more than two full chapters.
- The reason Harry is selected as a Blue Lantern is because he is both an icon of hope within Wizarding Britain, and because he spent much of his life hoping for something with all his heart.
- Harry’s primary objective as a Blue Lantern should be the routing of Voldemort and the Death Eaters, to which end he should be assigned a Green Lantern to act as his partner.
- Harry must be an exceptionally powerful Ring Bearer, but due to the limitations imposed by wielding a Blue Lantern Ring, is unable to apply that power offensively without a Green Lantern.
- If Harry’s Green Lantern partner is a female, then she should serve as his primary romantic interest, which means she must be around the same age as Harry is himself.
Preferred Inclusions:
- When he is resurrected, Voldemort should gain access to a Qwardian Power Ring, though his powers could be limited due to his failure to undertake the Sinestro Corps’ initiation ritual.
- During his indoctrination, Harry’s mentor could teach him how to focus his will in a way that simulates the Occlumency barriers that Snape tried to teach him in the canonical HP series.
- Due to the nature of the Blue Power Rings, Harry should rely on his magic whenever his Green Lantern partner is assigned to different field operations.
Optional Inclusions:
- The Green Lantern assigned to Harry could be the “equally young” Arisia Rrab.
- Harry could face legal trouble once the Ministry discovers that he is using “supernatural powers” in front of Muggles. Whether they are able to follow through or not is up to the author.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry being involved in a male-slash pairing.
- Harry the malevolent emo doormat.

Complications
- External Power Source: Harry needs to be in the immediate presence of a Green Lantern in order for his Power Ring to reach its full potential. Without the assistance of such an ally, he is unable to make use of any Power Ring effect (including Power Stunts) which could inflict damage upon another character, and his Ring's Force Constructs & Telekinetic abilities operate at half their normal effect ranks.
- Honor: Harry is someone who will always try to find common ground between even the fiercest of enemies, and will put the effort into empathizing with them and working towards a peaceful resolution to their conflicts.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Harry always tries to help those in need, no matter what the personal cost. After all, everything he does is for the common people.
- Obsession: Harry has the unfortunate tendency to become so focused on one particular objective, that he'll ignore everything else of importance in his life until he completes whatever task he has set his mind to.
- Overconfident: Absolutely nothing can shake Harry's optimistic attitude, which is absolutely amazing given all the effort people have put into keeping him downtrodden.
- Power Loss: Harry needs to be able to feel a strong sense of hope, lest he lose the ability to utilize his Lantern Ring entirely, fortunately, however, his own hope can be bolstered by the hope of those in his surroundings.

Complications
- Honor: If someone is in trouble, Arisia is always willing to lend a helping hand. She is also someone who will do everything she can in order to protect those who are incapable of protecting themselves.
- Motivation: Fairness: Arisia believes that no one should get preferential treatment before the law, and that no one is above the law, which is what makes her a prime candidate for her role as a Green Lantern.
- Oathsworn: As a Green Lantern, Arisia is sworn to preserve life at all costs, and can only use lethal measures when combating members of the Sinestro Corps, who are the sworn enemies of the Green Lantern Corps.
- Power Loss: Oan Power Rings contain a powerful cosmic charge that will occasionally require the wielder to seek out a Power Battery in order to "refuel" their supply of energy. The ring will issue a warning when it is close to running out of power.
- Secret: Arisia hasn't exactly told anyone that she can come back to life after being killed, and knowledge of that particular Graxosian ability isn't very common beyond the Graxos System.
- Stubborn: When Arisia sets her mind to something, she always follows through, no matter what tries to get in her way.
- Weakness: Arisia must maintain strong convictions in order to make full use of her Lantern Ring, and if her willpower dwindles, then she may lose the ability to use her Ring entirely. This complication is represented by a linking of her Ring's effect ranks to the score of her Will Resistance, with those effect ranks diminishing in power whenever her Will Resistance is Weakened.

Complications
- Apocalypse Maiden: If Daphne successfully consummates a relationship with her beloved while wearing her Star Sapphire Gem, then she will unwittingly unleash a wave of cosmic energy that will quickly cover the entire world in the same effect as her Violet Crystallization power, only anyone caught in the radius of this "ability" will be permanently trapped within an Earth-sized Star Sapphire Gemstone.
- Honor: Daphne's father betrothed her to Harry Potter while they were still in diapers, and it is Daphne's firm belief that her family honor demands that she uphold this obligation, which is part of what led to her acquisition of a Star Sapphire Gem and eventual obsession (see below).
- Motivation: Protector: Aside from Harry, the most important person in Daphne's life is her little sister, for whose honor Daphne has sent several idiotic boys to the Hogwarts Hospital Wing with frozen bits.
- Obsession: Due to the influence of her Star Sapphire Gem, Daphne is obsessed with proving to Harry that she is his ideal romantic partner, and is willing to go to extreme lengths in order to accomplish this task.

Vox Aethyr Brainstorm & Notes

Vox Aethyr
Premise: When Harry rushed through the Veil of Death after his godfather, the last thing he expected to find was a massive dinosaur-like creature that called itself “Aethyr.” Nor did he expect to discover that he was in an entirely new universe, and that he had been chosen to act as Aethyr’s voice in a world where superheroes wear spandex into battle!
Required Inclusions:
- The extradimensional prison known as the Phantom Zone must be connected to the world of Harry Potter by way of Death’s Veil, which is actually a Phantom Zone Projector.
- Harry must succeed in following his godfather through the Veil of Death, instead of being stopped in his efforts by Remus Lupin, but be unsuccessful in saving Sirius’ life.
- On the other hand, he will be given access to phenomenal cosmic powers as the new “Voice (Avatar)” of the extradimensional entity known as the Aethyr.
- As a result of this merger, Harry will have the ability to manipulate the very essence of the Phantom Zone in a manner that closely resembles Twili Shadow Magic.
- One of Harry’s primary functions as the Voice of Aethyr, will be to apprehend any convicts who escape from the Phantom Zone and return them to the prison.
- While Harry can still use his wizarding magic, odds are good that his wand was lost during the transition to the Phantom Zone, so he’ll need to come up with an alternative spell focus.
- While not the most gifted in physical combat, Harry will receive a massive boost to his physical parameters that will allow him to hold his own in combat against physically powerful foes.
- The basilisk venom and phoenix tears in Harry’s bloodstream must immunize him against all known forms of toxin, disease and pheromones, though Ivy could still seduce him traditionally.
- Harry must retain his sense of self, as well as his loving attitude and strong moral fiber, even though he is the avatar of an entity that might as well be an Eldritch Abomination.
Preferred Inclusions:
- While Harry’s romantic pairings will be left up to the author’s discretion, it is highly recommended that he end up in a relationship with Kara Zor-El.
- Harry’s counterpart in the local dimension should be a beautiful young maiden, whose mother is still alive and just as beautiful, with Harry eventually becoming involved with both women.
- Harry should have an unexpectedly close encounter with one of the various Brainiac Models, only to escape just in time to prevent the Bio-Computer from learning about his magic.
- Harry’s most annoying antagonist should be General Zod, who regularly tries to escape from the Phantom Zone; while on the other hand, Harry could be attracted to Faora Hu-Ul.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry could solve the problem presented by the Joker’s malevolent attitude by force-feeding the clown some Draught of Living Death, and then shunting him into the Phantom Zone.
- Rachel “Raven” Roth could be quite miffed (and equally turned on) by the fact that Harry’s shadow magic easily outclasses her own spellcasting abilities.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry’s magical or divine abilities being stolen from him.
- Harry joining the Justice League on a full-time basis.
- Harry being involved in a male-slash pairing.
- Harry the malevolent emo doormat.

- Motivation: Dreamer: Kara believes that half of the world's troubles come from the stodgy thinking of people who are stuck in the past. She feels that we need innovative solutions to life's many problems.
- Obnoxious: If the Justice League comes up with a plan of action, Kara will probably forget it. If she doesn't forget it, then she'll be just as likely to come up with her own "innovative" solution to whatever it is the League is attempting to do.
- Overconfident: Kara believes that great ideas are fine, but great results are what truly count!
- Power Loss: Kara will lose her superhuman abilities when exposed to the light of a Red Sun, like that of Argo's local star, since it interferes with her physiology; but she is not reliant on yellow solar energy to "recharge" these powers. Red Moon Rising
Premise: Every single Dead Apostle and True Ancestor in the world traces their origin back to a single all-powerful entity known as the Crimson Moon. People like to think that this “Alpha” is dead… but they are wrong. Instead, he has recently been “reborn” as the powerful young wizard known as Harry Potter.
Required Inclusions:
- Harry must prefer to incapacitate his enemies, while still acknowledging the need to use lethal measures against those enemies who are too dangerous or persistent to leave alive.
- Harry must operate on the same level of power as the Avatar of a Greater Deity, since that is effectively what he will be in this scenario.
- Harry must undergo a vampiric awakening at some point during the first few chapters of this story, with a preference for this to occur during the very first chapter.
- When the transformation is complete, Harry must discover that he isn’t an ordinary Dead Apostle or True Ancestor, but rather the “reincarnation” of the progenitor to both species.
- One of Harry’s new powers must be the ability to completely eradicate any Dead Apostle that he encounters, should he desire to see that individual eliminated.
- Harry must also be immune to the standard weaknesses that plague the Dead Apostle species, which is actually par for the course among the True Ancestors.
- Furthermore, Harry must have access to either the full scale version of Marble Phantasm, Crimson Moon’s Mystic Eyes (whatever those do) or his Knight Arm, Real of the World.
- Harry’s new powers, emotions, and mannerisms must cause rifts between him and those he once called his friends, especially if it is discovered that he is actually a form of vampire.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry must be functionally immortal, since he is a hybrid between the Dead Apostle and True Ancestor species, as well as the reincarnation of an Aristoteles.
- Harry should intrude upon the Aylesbury Valesti Ritual, and end up dragging Altrouge Brunestud away with him once he kills many of the other participants.
- With Altrouge at his side, Harry should reclaim his throne in the Millennium Castle Brunestud, and in doing so, reunite Altrouge with her younger sister, Arcueid Brunestud.
- Of course, nothing is ever simple for Harry, so he should end up with both the Burial Agency, parts of the Mage’s Association and the surviving Dead Apostles acting as his adversaries.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry could end up disrupting the proceedings of the Fifth Holy Grail War, which may ultimately result in him securing the loyalty of Matou Sakura and Rider (Medusa).
- Harry could have a “true form” that is most decidedly not human in terms of its appearance, since he is, after all, the reincarnation of an Aristoteles.

Complications
- Honor: Harry will always keep his word once he has given it to someone, strives to uphold the common good, and is never underhanded in his dealings.
- Infamy: Harry is famous in magical Britain for his part in defeating the Dark Lord known as Voldemort, but infamous for the fact that he underwent a Vampiric Awakening shortly after the Battle of Hogwarts.
- Motivation: Protector: Harry will do anything to protect those who he recognizes as family, which is currently limited to Altrouge and Arcueid Brunestud, since the people of Wizarding Britain have rejected him now that he is a confirmed "vampire."
- Overconfident: One of Harry's many titles is "Real of the World" which means he is justified in believing that the world does, in fact, revolve around him.
- Significant Other: Harry has intense romantic feelings for Altrouge and Arcueid Brunestud, which is particularly odd, since both women recognize him as their father. Of course, what makes it all the more odd, is that his feelings seem to be reciprocated.
- Temper: Harry's favor, once lost, is lost forever, and if you do him an injury, he will crush your bones into a fine powder, ruin your good name, and use Marble Phantasm to turn your fields into a barren wasteland!

Complications
- Enemies: Altrouge often has to worry that the other Twenty-Seven Dead Apostle Ancestors are conspiring against her, much like she is conspiring against them. The exceptions to this happen to be in the case of her "father," Rizo-Waal Strout, and Fina-blood Svelten, the latter two of whom are both enamored with her.
- Motivation: Responsibility: Altrouge's loyalty is to the King of All Vampires, Crimson Moon Brunestud, above all other individuals, and she will happily comply with his wishes now that he has been reborn in the form of Harry Potter.
- Quirk: Altrouge's demeanor is deceptively friendly, and she "genuinely" tries to help others if she can with what power she has access to. Of course, this is all a rouse to satisfy her craving for human blood, which she can acquire simply by using her Principle of Usurpation.
- Relationship: Altrouge actually has a soft spot for the incredibly cute ball of fluff that she likes to refer to as Primate Murder, even though the creature should technically be her enemy, since it is the Beast of Gaia, and thus loyal to the part of the World which would try to eradicate every single Dead Apostle that has ever lived.
- Temper: Altrouge has a rather disdainful view of men, which is particularly odd, since her two most loyal retainers are men. This, of course, hasn't stopped her from expressing romantic interest in men, only the men who strike her fancy have a tendency to end up dead once she loses interest in them.

One Small Step v2 Brainstorm & Notes

One Small Step
Premise: Harry Potter could have never imagined the wonders he would find after stepping through the swirling vortex of energy contained within a large circular object he found hidden deep within the bowels of Hogwarts Castle while exploring Salazar Slytherin’s fabled Chamber of Secrets; but then, it always is a matter of taking that very first step on any new journey.
Required Inclusions:
- Harry must return to Salazar’s Chamber of Secrets, where he will find a Chappa'ai (Stargate) concealed behind a hidden door that is adjacent to Salazar’s statue.
- This Stargate must come with a fully functional Dial Home Device (DHD), and must also be capable of dialing out during periods of time when the other two Tau’ri Gates are inactive.
- Harry must eventually figure out how to operate the DHD, and in doing so, accidentally dial the address of the current Tok’ra command center.
- Harry must eventually be remanded over to the care of Anise, who wishes to study Harry’s powers and figure out how they relate to the abilities of an Ascended Being.
- The Atanik Armbands must prove to be just as ineffective on magical humans as they are on Goa’uld, Tok’ra and Jaffa, resulting in Harry’s return to Earth alongside Anise.
- Anise & Freya (Symbiote & Host) must be Harry’s primary romantic relationships, though other girls are permissible if they can all agree to get along.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry’s magical abilities should either be similar in nature to the Nox Bio-Electrical Tuning, or else a variation on the powers of Near-Ascended beings.
- Harry and Anise should have their fair share of adventures that occur away from his birthworld, though what these adventures entail will be left up to the author’s discretion.
- Harry should initially be surprised, if not freaked out, when he hears the double-voice effect of a Symbiote talking with their Host, but should ultimately find peace with the oddity.
Optional Inclusions:
- The Basilisk Venom in Harry’s bloodstream could make his body a hostile environment for both a Tok’ra and a Goa’uld, meaning it could be ill-advised to perform a blending.
- The Patronus charm could have some sort of repulsive effect on Anubis.
