The Only Way is Essex
Premise: Lily Potter was hailed as the brightest witch of her age, but doesn't anyone find it strange that such a powerfully-talented witch came from Muggles? Well, there's a not-so-good reason for that…
Required Inclusions:
- Harry must prefer to permanently cripple his enemies, but will usually allow them to live, the exception being for those enemies who make repeat appearances despite these injuries.
- Harry must be considered an Omega-class Mutant, with the primary mutation of “Magical Energy Manipulation,” which gives him a huge advantage against other spellcasters.
- The secret to Lily’s advanced understanding of magic is that she was the daughter of a muggle mother and a mutant father, with that father actually being none other than Nathaniel Essex.
- As a result of Lily’s paternal legacy, she had the genius-level intellect of her father, as well as an active version of the latent magical potential of her mother, allowing her to get into Hogwarts.
- As a third generation mutant of Sinister’s legacy, Harry’s powers must allow him to inspire awe and fear in the minds of individuals like Charles Xavier, Albus Dumbledore and many others.
- Harry’s mutation, along with his own paternal legacy, must allow him to perform magic in ways that defy the “foolish wand waving and silly incantations” that is so common at Hogwarts.
- Mister Sinister must locate Harry after Lily’s death and teach the lad everything he knows, since he sees the boy as the future salvation of both mutant and wizardkind.
- Mister Sinister’s subordinates, the Nasty Boys and Marauders, must regard Harry as Mister Sinister’s heir, treating him with the respect due to said station, and following his orders.
- When/if Harry goes to Hogwarts is up to the author, but when/if he does, then he must do so with one goal: to find the most worthy witch or wizard and make them somehow greater.
Preferred Inclusions:
- The Ministry for Magic could classify Harry as a Dark Lord once they realize he can use magic without a wand simply because it means they will be unable to monitor him outside Hogwarts.
- Harry should manage to convert Jean Grey (Phoenix) to his cause, and in doing so gain the Dark Phoenix as an ally, and possibly something more as the story progresses.
- Grindelwald should play a role in this story, even if only as a background figure, since Nathaniel Essex is old enough to have been involved in Grindelwald’s rise to power.
- Harry should possess at least a few psionic abilities, since that is apparently his grandfather’s primary mutation, with physical augmentation possibly being Mister Sinister’s secondary.
Optional Inclusions:
- As an associate of Mister Sinister’s, Apocalypse could take an interest in Harry’s development as a Mutant, possibly even with the goal of making Harry the next Horseman of Death.
- Voldemort’s reason for targeting the Potters could have more to do with the threat that Harry poses rather than the prophecy given to Dumbledore by the future Professor Trelawney.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry listening to any authority figures other than Mister Sinister outside of classes.
- Mister Sinister abandoning Harry or treating him as anything less than his heir.
- Harry falling in line with Dumbledore or Xavier’s way of thinking.
- Harry abandoning his family and/or legacy.
- Harry the Pathetic Emo Doormat.

- Destiny: It is Harry's destiny to be the one that ultimately vanquishes the dark wizard who styles himself as "Lord Voldemort."

Premise: Diana wasn't the only child of the Gods born among mortals: there was another; a child born of Might and Magic destined to be a great hero… or possibly, the end of us all!
Required Inclusions:
- Harry must prefer to incapacitate his enemies, but also be willing to kill those foes who lack a sense of remorse and who are too dangerous to keep alive, such as Voldemort or the Joker.
- Harry must be at least as powerful as a standard Amazon, although he can be more powerful depending on which deity serves as his parent in this scenario.

Complications
- Accident: Lycanthropy is contagious and incurable condition, and anyone Lupin bites while in his Lycan form must make a Fortitude check with a DC equal to 10 + their Power Level or else they will contract the affliction.
- Honor: Remus follows a strict code of honor when it comes to fights, and even when not fighting. He obeys the rules of fair play and hospitality, and may even pick up other odd and restrictive rules to add to his code of honor as he gets older.
- Motivation: Responsibility: Remus views it as his personal responsibility to keep an eye on the boy who is both his nephew (sort of) and the son of one of his closest friends, Harry Potter. However, even he acknowledges that he would have made a lousy parent for the boy, both due to his tendency to play Russian Roulette with his life, and because of his illness.
- Uncontrolled Transformation: Lupin automatically shifts into his Lycan Form and suffers a -8 penalty to his Intellect score (unless he consumes a Wolfesbane Potion) when exposed to the light of the full moon. This condition lasts until sunrise on the following morning. However, he can shift into that form at any other time on a voluntary basis without suffering the penalty to his Intellect score.

Premise: Harry Potter never expected to be struck with the Killing Curse for a third time in as many decades, and he certainly didn’t expect to wake up in the body of a Russian mutant who answered to the name of Piotr Rasputin! Hoh boy, this new life will surely be a whole lot more *interesting* than the last one…
Required Inclusions:
- After dying, Harry Potter must be reborn into a new world, or as it is otherwise known, a new fandom. In this case, that fandom will be the universe of the X-Men.
- Harry must be familiar with the world he has been reborn into thanks to having seen either the comics, television series, movies or video games that relate to it.
- Harry must utilize that knowledge to his advantage when interacting with the denizens of his new reality. For example, he could use it to invest in Stark Enterprises and become quite rich.
- Harry must retain his ability to use magic in his new reality, but he doesn’t need to be capable of wandless magic right out of the gate.
- The exact point at which Harry’s memories of his original life awaken in this new reality is up to the author, but it must be at some point in his first seventeen years of life.
- The author is free to pair Harry with whomever they desire, and they do not need to stick with the canonical pairings for whomever Harry is reincarnated as.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry should be reincarnated as Piotr Rasputin, who is also known as the Colossus, with Harry’s magic being integral to his ability to escape from Magneto with his sister.
- There should be a vibrant magical community in this reality, although it need not be exactly the same as the one which Harry was familiar with in his old reality.
- Harry/Piotr should be incredibly close to his sister, Illyana, to the point where they could actually become romantically involved after she undergoes her plot relevant age-up.
Optional Inclusions:
- If Harry is reincarnated as the Colossus, then he could be incapable of utilizing magic while in his Organic Steel Form, just like how Emma Frost is incapable of telepathy in her diamond form.
- If Harry is reborn as Colossus, then his Russian accent could be less noticeable than in canon.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry/Piotr being romantically interested in male characters.
- Harry/Piotr the Malevolent Emo Doormat.
