Complications
- Honor: When someone is in trouble, Harry is always willing to lend a helping hand. He also has a particularly strong sense of fair play, and always tries to find the most equitable solution to any arguments he is involved in, which is rather odd given his status as a Dark Knight.
- Motivation: Justice: Harry firmly believes that the White SeeD must be brought to their knees, since their actions are actually working to instill terror in the common people of the world, since they have no real way to distinguish between someone who is using Para-Magic, and someone who is a legitimate Sorceress.
- Significant Other: Harry is Artemisia's Knight, and thus responsible for protecting her from anything that would cause her harm, even if that means he has to protect her from herself! Of course, one of the more interesting aspects of being a Sorceress's Knight, is that it inevitably leads to a romantic relationship.
- Time Lost: Harry was forced to leave his loved ones behind when he fell through the Veil of Death, and hopes that one day he might be able to reunite with those he left behind, but would refuse to do so if it would force him to leave his beloved Artemisia behind.

Complications
- Honor: Like Edea Kramer before her, Artemisia sponsors an orphanage that is geared towards preventing others from suffering the indignity that she herself had to live with during her childhood. This orphanage is housed within the ancient citadel known as Syrcus Tower.
- Motivation: Recognition: Artemisia is determined to prove that both she, and other Sorceresses like her, are worthy of a better life than what the White SeeD have allowed for them to live up until this point in time.
- Obnoxious: Ultimecia has a tendency to ask a lot of questions about things she either doesn't understand, or else has no prior knowledge of, which can get particularly annoying, especially for the most learned of her friends and allies, Professor Sanya Iterol. She also has a tendency to bluntly point out what other people are hiding, or hinting at.
- Sorceress Corruption: When a Sorceress is denied the benefit of a Knight, she is prone to mental and physical corruption due to the overuse of her powers over an extended period of time. If the GM feels that Artemisia is overusing her powers without the benefit of her Knight, then he is allowed to impose one of the penalties described in the corruption rules from the Supernatural Handbook on pages 64 to 69. It is suggested to use the rules for either Madness or Mutation for this purpose. It is worth noting that Artemisia has already accrued two Mutation-based complications, her hair has changed from a lustrous black to a silvery color, and her eyes have shifted from the same green as Harry's to a sickly yellow.

Complications
- Motivation: Doing Good: Sanya wishes to reshape the world into higher forms of life, so that all people can enjoy the benefits of evolution, even if she has to force it upon them against their wishes.
- Obnoxious: Sanya often has to dumb down her dialogue, since she likes to use a highly technical vocabulary in order to avoid imprecision and ambiguity in her communication, which is unfortunate since she is obviously the smartest member of Artemisia's alliance.
- Obsession: Sanya can't resist prying into anything that is forbidden, since she feels that it must be terribly interesting!
- Quirk: Sanya is far more interested in taking notes on monstrous anatomies, than actually fighting any of the monsters she might encounter.

Henrik Valentine Brainstorm & Notes

Henrik Valentine
Premise: After dying of old age, Harry Potter thought he would awaken in the afterlife where he would be surrounded by his fallen loved ones. Alas, things were never quite so simple for the Master of Death, and instead of a peaceful afterlife, he found himself reborn on the world of Gaia as the son of Vincent Valentine and Lucrecia Crescent, who knows what could happen now…
Required Inclusions:
- After dying from old age on the world of Terra, Harry Potter will be reborn on Gaia as the son of Vincent Valentine and Lucrecia Crescent, making him Sephiroth’s younger half-brother.
- Harry, who will be known as Henrik Valentine, will have no coherent memories of his prior life, even if only initially, and said memories won’t make sense until he is a teenager at the earliest.
- Even in his new life, Henrik will have the ability to utilize magic without the need for Materia, but can still use Materia to augment his combat abilities and to employ Command Skills.
- Henrik must be classified as a 1st Generation SOLDIER, even though he is far too young to be part of that grouping, since he was exposed to Jenova Cells while still in Lucrecia’s womb.
- Hojo must decide to send Henrik to an orphanage in the Slums of Midgar instead of disposing of him in a similar manner to the methods he used with Lucrecia and Vincent.
- Henrik must eventually meet and befriend a young Aerith Gainsborough, with the two youngsters becoming all but inseparable until Henrik leaves to track down his father.
- After gaining some solid leads on his father’s location, Henrik will leave Midgar and head to Nibelheim. Needless to say, Vincent will be quite surprised to learn that he has a son.
- Henrik must enjoy his new lease on life, since he is no longer the “Chosen One” and can pretty much do whatever it is that he desires.
- Henrik and Aerith must eventually reunite, and while they will eventually get back together, Aerith must make Henrik work for it. Other women will be allowed if they gain Aerith’s blessing.
- After they reunite, Henrik must convince his father to give him the same training that Vincent himself received while working as a member of the Turks.
- Due to the training, or while on a mission to Mount Nibel, Henrik will be in an accident and need a transfusion from his father, allowing Henrik to use a variant of Vincent’s Limit Break.
- Henrik and Vincent must eventually join AVALANCHE, with the former hoping to be able to talk his elder brother down from his apocalyptic plans, even while knowing that is highly unlikely.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Henrik should have been Aerith’s first boyfriend-bodyguard before he left Midgar for personal reasons, though whether they went all the way or not at that time will be left up to the author.
- Henrik should have retained his unyielding mental state, making it all but impossible for an outside agency to take control of his mind.
- The various clones of Sephiroth should be reluctant to engage Henrik in battle due to a feeling of kinship between the brothers, which should ultimately allow Henrik to save Aerith’s life.
- During his teenage years, Henrik should have spent time amusing himself by sneaking into Shinra HQ, leaving behind various pranks, only to be kicked out by a secretly amused Tseng.
- Cissnei, or another female Turk, should harbor deep unresolved sexual tension in regards to Henrik after witnessing how effective he is at playing the Knight in Shining Armor for Aerith.
- Harry should have the ability to fly upon a single wing, just like all of the other members of the First Generation of SOLDIER, though the efficiency of this ability is debatable.
Optional Inclusions:
- After the aforementioned blood transfusion, Henrik’s previously green eyes could have shifted to a red color, like his father’s, due to the addition of Chaos cells in his genetic makeup.
- Before he was entombed beneath Midgar, Genesis Rhapsados could have given his fabled sword, the Rapier, to Henrik; the reason for this, however, is up to the author.
- Henrik could use Legilimency as a means by which to rescue Jenova from his elder brother’s mental influence, but whether this benefits Henrik or not is up to the author.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry being involved in a male-slash pairing.
- Harry using a Buster Sword as his weapon.
- Harry becoming one of Jenova’s puppets.
- Harry, the malevolent emo doormat.
- Harry allying himself with Shinra.

- Motivation: Guardian: Henrik wants to protect everyone to the best of his abilities, but usually contents himself to serving as the bodyguard of Aerith Gainsborough.
- Quirk: Henrik will often hide in crowds while keeping an eye on Aerith, and only step out of the shadows when he is truly needed. He is also quick to ensure that when his party sleeps, that at least one person is always serving as the team's lookout.
- Significant Other: Henrik is incredibly loyal to Aerith, and would happily sacrifice his life in order to keep her safe from harm. Of course, Aerith is not the sort of person to willingly let any of her friends throw their lives away on her behalf, and is constantly berating Henrik for taking "unnecessary risks."

The Guardian Knight Brainstorm & Notes

The Guardian Knight
Premise: There comes a time when even the most pacifistic of individuals decides that enough is enough and starts pushing back. For Harry Potter, this was after he learned the full contents of Trelawney’s prophecy. Realizing he doesn’t stand a chance, Harry goes to the Room of Requirements and asks for a place where he can learn how to survive, and ultimately leaves for another time!
Required Inclusions:
- This story must begin shortly after Albus Dumbledore reveals the full contents of Trelawney’s first prophecy to Harry, which will set him on a course that the Headmaster didn’t expect.
- This story must be a crossover with the Final Fantasy VIII fandom, with Harry traveling to a time period when Ultimecia is still a young maiden known as Artemisia.
- The world Harry arrives in must be embroiled in a conflict that will be known as the Sorceress Wars, where SeeD is attempting to exterminate every Sorceress that it possibly can.
- Harry must somehow get dragged into this conflict and, in doing so, become the Knight who serves as Artemisia’s guardian.
- Harry must end up in a romantic relationship with Artemisia due to the intimate nature of the relationship between a Sorceress and her Knight.
- Albus Dumbledore must make at least one attempt to force Harry to return to his world of origin in order to face his destiny. Whether he succeeds or not is up to the author.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry should receive training in the use of a sword, either from someone who is allied with Artemisia, or else from the SeeD before he decides to ally himself with a Sorceress.
- For all that she presents herself as a seductive woman, Artemisia should actually be rather inexperienced in matters of the heart, meaning that she and Harry will learn together.
- Artemisia should travel with Harry when he ultimately returns to his world of origin, even if for no other reason than to test herself against the self-proclaimed “Dark Lord Voldemort.”
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry’s particular fighting style could be modeled on either the Rune Fencer or Rune Knight.
- Lily Evans could have been connected to the world of Final Fantasy VIII, though the specific nature of this connection will be left up to the author.

Complications

Calamitous Virtue Brainstorm & Notes

Calamitous Virtue
Premise: Have you ever wondered where Jenova originally came from? Well, what if she originated from a world that was far closer to our own than anyone ever suspected? And what if a certain wizard had accompanied Jenova on the voyage to Gaia?
Required Inclusions:
- Harry Potter must prefer to incapacitate his enemies whenever he can, while also acknowledging that some adversaries, such as random monsters, are better off dead.
- Harry must be extraordinarily powerful, since he will essentially be Jenova’s counterpart to Chaos and Omega in this scenario.
- When the story starts, in relation to the Final Fantasy 7 plotline, is up to the author, but the story must include a scene where Harry becomes Jenova’s “Weapon.”
- As Jenova’s chosen Weapon, Harry must have access to a vast majority of the powers that humans can normally only gain when they are infused with Jenova’s cells.
- Harry must have the ability to subvert Sephiroth’s control over his clones due to the fact that Harry has a stronger connection to Jenova than the emo git.
- Harry must have access to a Staff or other similar object that he uses as a focusing implement for his mystical abilities, which will be more versatile than Gaian magic.
- Harry must also have the ability to commune with Jenova, and be capable of liberating her from Sephiroth’s control when he is in the same location as the vast majority of her biomass.
- Jenova must be Harry’s primary romantic interest, but he is also allowed to be paired with anyone else that Jenova approves of.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry should have a monstrous form which closely resembles Absolute Virtue from Final Fantasy XI. In fact, that may even be his monster form’s name.
- Harry should be a master of Occlumency, which is why he is capable of ignoring Sephiroth’s attempts to thwart his mind, even though Jenova has less success.
- Harry should thoroughly lambaste Sephiroth for the crimes he has committed against the woman (entity?) that is effectively his wife.
- Harry should be the one who explains that Jenova wasn’t lucid when she attacked the Cetra of antiquity, and that he himself had been “asleep” at the time and thus unable to save them.
Optional Inclusions:
- Much like Jenova, Harry could have the ability to bequeath portions of his biomass to other characters, which among other things would establish a Psychic Link between them.
- Harry could use the aforementioned ability to bless someone with bits of his cellular makeup in order to resurrect Aerith after Sephiroth kills her.

Guardian Knight Brainstorm & Notes

Premise: Harry Potter could remember Ron Weasley asking, “When you say ‘Master of Death’ -”, only for Xenophilius Lovegood to respond with the words “Master. Conqueror. Vanquisher. Whichever term you prefer.” Unfortunately, it would seem Xenophilius didn’t quite grasp what those words truly meant…
Required Inclusions:
- At some point after uniting the Deathly Hallows, Harry Potter must find himself stranded in an entirely different reality, and not just any reality, but the world of Final Fantasy VIII.
- Instead of appearing in the time when Squall and the others are fighting against time, Harry will appear at a time when Sorceress Ultimecia is still known as Artemisia.
- Harry must find Artemisia, whether by accident or on purpose is up to the author, and save her from a group of White SeeD Operatives, which will confuse both the SeeD and Artemisia.
- Due to his innate magical prowess, the SeeD must classify Harry as the first known male Sorceress [sic], even though that isn’t what he actually is.
- Harry and Artemisia must quickly travel to what is known in that time period as the Flying Fortress or Sky Castle and use magic to relocate it to the Centra Continent.
- Harry and Artemisia must ultimately end up in a romantic relationship, anyone else who would join the pairing can only do so with Artemisia’s approval.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry should style himself as a Paladin, using a sword, shield and heavy armor instead of more conventional weapons, as well as magic to augment his attacks.
- Harry’s presence in Artemisia’s life should go a long way towards redeeming the Sorceress from the End of Time, even if she is still something of an anti-villain once all is said and done.
- Harry and Artemisia should have their own arch enemy, who serves as the antagonist for this story. Bonus points will be given if this enemy is the current leader of SeeD Operations.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry and Artemisia could pay tribute to Edea by turning the Sky Castle into an orphanage.
- Artemisia could still look mostly human, even if her once blonde hair has turned silver, and her eyes are now a dull yellow color.
