Behind Mako Eyes
Premise: When Harry Potter died in the forest, instead of returning to the Battle of Hogwarts, he decided to get onto one of the trains leading onto the Next Great Adventure, and in doing so, was reborn as a particularly epic hero in an entirely different reality.
Required Inclusions:
- Harry’s new incarnation must possess the same basic moral and ethical alignment as his original incarnation, which is to say that he should possess a Neutral Good alignment.
- Who Harry is reborn as is up to the author, but they must be a central character in the fandom that he is now a part of, even if that means the author has to create an entirely new character.
- As Harry dies in his original universe, a new identity will be crafted for him in this alternate universe, which will be the world of Final Fantasy VII.
- How Harry takes to his new identity, and the fact that he has been reborn as a helpless baby, is up to the author, but it is suggested that Harry has an eidetic memory in this reality.
- Harry must eventually reconcile his original identity with that of his new identity, so that the two are no longer at odds with one another, and he must answer to both of his names.
- Harry must retain the ability to utilize the magic of his original reality, even while gaining access to any of the abilities he would naturally possess in this new reality.
- Harry must be the only character from Potterverse that is reborn within the world of Final Fantasy VII, though that doesn’t mean he is the only character from another fandom.
- Harry must be involved in a romantic pairing with either Tifa Lockhart, or Aerith Gainsborough, though other girls are allowed to join the pairing at the author’s discretion.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry should be reborn as the son of Lucrecia Crescent, and he should be one of the four legendary members of SOLDIER 1st Class.
- Harry should have his own legendary weapon to go along with his status as a legendary member of SOLDIER 1st Class.
- Harry should have heard of the characters from Final Fantasy VII before, possibly from Dudley, and may find it funny that he has been reborn into this world.
- Professor Hojo could consider Harry to be something of an oddity, and may be actively planning to use him for one experiment or another, especially those involving our favorite Cetra.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry could be resistant to the mental manipulations of both Jenova and Sephiroth, just like how he was resistant to the Imperious Curse in his original reality.
- Harry could also be the son of Vincent Valentine, with his own version of Vincent’s ability to shift into monstrous forms, possibly due to the Jenova Cells that merged with his body.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry being involved in a male-slash pairing.
- Harry, the pathetic emo doormat.

Hyne's Gamble Brainstorm & Notes

Hyne’s Gamble
Premise: The elder god known as Hyne was metaphorically tearing his hairs out in sheer frustration. His children were constantly warring against each other and making a mess of things! He was sick and tired of having to constantly begin anew! So if they refused to see reason, he would just have to introduce a wild card in the game. Little Artemisia needed a good man anyway…
Required Inclusions:
- The story will start after the Second Blood War and in the time when the Sorceress Ultimecia was still known as Artemisia.
- Hyne had long ago made contact with deities and aspects of other worlds, if only to liven his immortal existence up a bit.
- Which is why he knows that Death had given a test to mankind and that one peculiar mortal would finally pass it.
- Harry and Artemisia started meeting in their dreams from a young age, believing that they were each other’s imaginary friend.
- While there is a pogrom against Sorceresses gaining considerable traction in Artemisia’s time, it wasn’t so bad or dangerous until the new White SeeD commander came to power.
- After briefly uniting the Deathly Hallows, Harry Potter gained two things: the confirmation that Artemisia was real and the ability to travel to her via the Corridors of Darkness.
- While Harry will be able to safely travel through these Corridors, it’s a power to be used sparingly since it’s very costly in terms of his stamina and magical energy.
- Eventually, Artemisia and Harry will properly bond as Sorceress and Knight, and she will be his primary romantic pairing in this scenario.
- Other women are allowed to join Artemisia and Harry’s relationship, but only on the young Sorceress’ sufferance.
- Since Hyne actually broke the rules by linking Harry to Artemisia so he could break her infinite time loop, he won’t be able to intervene in their lives for anything less than an Apocalypse.
- Harry and Artemisia will repeatedly clash with the new White SeeD Commander, who is sadly hyper competent at their role and in combat.
Preferred Inclusions:
- The Elder Wand should keep popping back onto Harry’s person no matter how many times he tries to get rid of it.
- The Elder Wand should be able to shapeshift into more adequate weapons depending on the needs of its master.
- Harry’s presence in her dreams should have kept Artemisia sane enough to stop her from undertaking her canonical plot against the Pogrom and the White SeeD.
- If Artemisia already started down the path of corruption caused by the absence of a Knight, then her bond with Harry should slowly but surely restore her original appearance.
- A future member of Artemisia and Harry’s party should offer their help in refining Harry’s physical combat abilities since exclusively relying on magic is not a good thing.
Optional Inclusions:
- Sorceress magic could share more similarities with Wixen magic than it does with Para-Magic, allowing Artemisia to teach Harry a few new spells and vice versa.
- Harry and Artemisia could undertake the task of finding and rescuing Sorceress Candidates from bad situations, ultimately ferrying them to Harry’s dimension as a way to keep them safe.
- A member of the White SeeD could try, and fail, to replicate Harry’s use of the Corridors.
Forbidden Things:
- Any kind of wards being able to block the Corridors of Darkness.
- Harry losing his memories if he makes use of a Guardian Force.
- Harry and Artemisia, the pathetic emo doormats.
- Harry being involved in a male-slash pairing.
- Harry ever betraying Artemisia’s trust.

Complications
- Enemy: The new commander of the White SeeD, a woman known as Esdeath, would like nothing better than to capture Harry so that she can seduce him away from his beloved Artemisia and use him as a weapon against the Sorceress. Then again, she'd be just as happy to see him put into a grave right alongside Artemisia and their allies.
- Honor: Harry prefers to judge people based on their actions, and not by their words. Furthermore, if someone is in trouble, he's always ready to lend them a helping hand.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Harry feels that all people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, and that those who would deny such rights to others should be opposed at all costs, which is why he has sided with Sorceress Artemisia in her campaign to oppose the injustices that are being orchestrated by the White SeeD.
- Power Loss: Harry is unable to enter his Bladesong stance when wearing Medium Armor, Heavy Armor, when carrying a shield, or when wielding a single weapon in two hands. This is in addition to the fact that he needs to be able to move his wand arm and speak the relevant incantations in order to perform his spellcraft, which means effects that restrict his movement or prevent him from speaking could entirely deprive him of the ability to use his magic.
- Temper: Due to the nature of his childhood, Harry has developed an intense dislike of bullies, and is always quick to show such people his ire when he encounters them.

- Honor: Artemisia is used to aiding those who aren't quite as smart as she is, and is known for her ability to patiently explain anything and everything to other people. With that said, she is also known for speaking... slowly.... when... talking... to idiots... which... is almost... everyone... in... the White SeeD... organization!
- Impulsive: Artemisia tends to overlook obvious solutions for her problems in favor of horrendously complicated ones. This is why Harry is good for her, because he keeps her grounded.
- Motivation: Dreamer: Artemisia believes that what is beautiful in the world points us beyond itself, towards what is true about all of existence, and is constantly in search of such interesting vistas, even if the monsters she encounters while journeying across the world can be particularly dangerous.
- Power Loss: Artemisia must be able to move her hands and speak the relevant incantations in order to perform her spellcraft, which means that effects which deprive her of the ability to move or prevent her from speaking could cost her the ability to use magic.
- Responsibility: Artemisia feels it is her duty to protect the young women who could follow in her footsteps and become the next Sorceress by keeping them safe from the abuses that are being executed by the White SeeD and their Commander.

Complications
- Cultural Awkwardness: Forgiven Sloth spent so long in "The World of Light" that she has very little practical experience in dealing with the people who inhabit the mortal world.
- Little Bit Beastly: Forgiven Sloth looks like someone decided to run a breeding experiment between an angel and a dragon, because she has characteristics of both species, and wound up looking a bit bizarre, but still incredibly beautiful. As such, she is completely incapable of blending in among the people of Harry's home dimension.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Now that she is no longer bound to "The World of Light", Forgiven Sloth tries to help those in need, no matter what the personal cost. This is why she has aligned herself with Harry Potter and Artemisia, since she sees their quest to be one that serves the greater good!
- Quirk: Forgiven Sloth sees omens in every event and action, and believes that the gods themselves try to speak to her and guide her actions, all she needs to do is to learn how to listen.
- Responsibility: Forgiven Sloth will use every ability and tool that she has at her disposal in order to protect the children who dwell within Artemisia's Sky Castle.

I Won't Say (I'm in Love) Brainstorm & Notes

I Won’t Say (I’m in Love)
Premise: Jenova thought she’d finally found a way to escape from Hojo’s clutches, but it turns out her so-called «Son» was more focused on restoring his honor than helping his poor mother. Unfortunately, this left her rather impotent… That is, until a dying young man crawled out of the Lifestream. Together they would have a second chance at life.
Required Inclusions:
- The main consciousness of Jenova must be trapped inside the mind of her malevolent “son”, Sephiroth Crescent, and thus largely impotent, when the story begins.
- By this point in time, Jenova will not care about conquering the world or anything else beyond her ability to survive into the future.
- Jenova must manage to escape out into the world after her “son” thoughtlessly casts her consciousness out into an abomination in order to help slow down his pursuers.
- Unfortunately, she is so weak that even the local fauna could finish her off, that is, until she stumbles upon a young man using sheer force of will to crawl out of a Lifestream upsurge.
- This young man, who is on Death’s doorstep, is none other than Harry Potter, the Man Who Conquered and Boy Who Lived. Unfortunately, he met his match and nearly paid the price.
- In his dying moments, the consciousness of his world of origin, Lady Athena, reached out to her counterpart on Gaia, Lady Minerva, and asked for her to take him into her care.
- While Harry survived his trip through the Lifestream and is hanging onto his life through sheer stubbornness, he will die if something isn’t done about it in the immediate future.
- To this end, Jenova and Harry will make a Faustian Deal. She needs a strong host to settle her debts, and he wants to keep living at any cost.
- Jenova must call forth as many of her cells as possible, and use them to merge them together, permanently reconstructing her new partner into a Being on the same level as Sephiroth.
- While stopping Sephiroth is one of their long term goals, the more immediate objective is to locate enough Jenova cells for her to construct herself a new body.
- This is because she wishes to have a female body, even though Harry is a marvelous host organism for her consciousness to reside within.
- Jenova must be Harry’s primary romantic interest, which means that other women will only be allowed to join in on the romantic activities should they gain her approval.
- Even if she wished to, Jenova must be unable to take control of Harry, since he has far greater strength of will than even Sephiroth. Then again, it’s not like she needs to control him.
- Harry and Jenova are allowed to ally themselves with AVALANCHE, but they must also remain largely autonomous from that group, as well as any others.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry should save Aerith from her demise at the City of the Ancients, shifting her romantic interest towards him and away from Cloud.
- The first thing Jenova should do once she has a proper female body should be to test drive it by engaging in carnal relations with an all too willing Harry.
- During his transit between Terra and Gaia, Harry should have met with Genesis Rhapsodos, who decided to give the young wizard his sword, the Rapier.
- Jenova should be what is called a Tsundere, showing only her soft side when in private with Harry and her loved ones.
- Harry should have at least one wing, much like Sephiroth, Genesis and Angeal, though it is possible he has two wings, and actually looks like an angel when they manifest.
- During his reconstruction, Jenova should have broken down Harry’s wand into basic materials allowing her to fuse it with his new body, granting him the ability to use magic without a focus.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry could enjoy teasing Jenova by nicknaming her ‘Calamity Jane’, since her reactions would be incredibly hilarious.
- Luna Lovegood could have found her way to Gaia and may have become a Jenova Hybrid, much like Harry, though possibly under less auspicious circumstances.
- After seeing both Cloud’s and Sephiroth’s oversized swords, Harry could openly snark about how they are clearly overcompensating for something.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry ever returning to his original world, since he was declared dead.
- Harry and Jenova being unable to have children together.
- Jenova returning to her original modus operandi.
- Harry and Jenova, the pathetic emo doormats.
- Harry being involved in a male-slash pairing.

Premise: When Voldemort tried to kill baby Harry, the backlash of magic sent the boy to another world, where he was adopted by Cid and Edea Kramer. Harry, the first ever Sorcerer, has Quistis Trepe as his Knight. But when his mother begins acting strangely, and Galbadia steps up its aggression, Harry, Quistis, Squall, and the others must unravel a plot, and defeat a mysterious foe…
Required Inclusions:
- Harry must possess a single dedicated Guardian Force that he is junctioned to, rather than Junctioning as many as possible, allowing him to keep his memory intact throughout the story.
- Harry’s primary pairing must be Quistis Trepe, who will be his Knight; additional romantic pairings are permissible only at Quistis’ sufferance.
- Harry’s presence in this world must be a direct result of Hyne’s interference in the timestream, as well as his mother’s sacrificial ritual, the former because Hyne is basically the God of FF8.
- Harry must be considered a sort of “male Sorceress”, or rather a Sorcerer, but without the drawback of having his Magic run rampant since he was born with that ability.
- Harry must employ a “Wizard’s Staff” as his weapon of choice, with the ability to junction Elemental Magic to the weapon to cause effects similar to RWBY’s dust cartridges.
- Harry’s Guardian Force must be some manner of Serpent that he can communicate with using the Parseltongue he acquired when a part of Voldemort’s soul got lodged in his forehead.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Instead of being one of Quistis’ students, Harry should be a SeeD Operative who is regularly assigned to missions that require a delicate touch.
- In addition to being a Sorcerer, Harry could possess the “Echo” from Final Fantasy XIV, which is what Ellone is apparently capable of, and it may give him the benefits of an eidetic memory.
- Harry doesn’t need to be part of the Main Cast, but the author is welcome to add him to it if that is their desire. Indeed it’d make sense to do so since Quistis is his Knight.
Optional Inclusions:
- Even though Quistis is Harry’s Knight, it could be Xu who serves as Harry’s combat support when he goes on missions, at least until Quistis loses her job as an Instructor.
- If Harry does join the main cast, then his Sorcery could eventually be discovered.

Complications
- Addiction: Harry has an almost insatiable desire for carnal pleasures, which is probably why he has two girlfriends instead of just the one.
- External Power Source: Junctioned spells "Fades" at a rate of 1 Rank per Activation, unless the character is actively "Drawing" that particular spell from an enemy. These lost ranks can be "Restocked" by utilizing Draw Points, which requires 1 hour of downtime, or by Drawing that magic from an enemy (as indicated above), which requires a DC 15 Insight check to ensure the enemy has the associated spell in Stock. Harry is free to reallocate points for his Junctioned Magic between adventures, which means he can select entirely different spells if that is the player's desire.
- Impulsive: There's only one life to live, so why should Harry spend his time wasting it on ceremonies and meetings, when he could instead be aiding his fellow SeeD Operatives on their various field assignments?
- Motivation: Responsibility: Harry firmly believes that power and authority exist to defend the weak and downtrodden, which means he is often at odds with Master Norg and his minions, the red-robbed men known only as the Garden Faculty.
- Power Loss: Not only must Harry be able to move his hands in the appropriate gestures in order to complete the casting of his spells, but certain forms of technology can deprive him of the ability to use magic while he is exposed to the energy fields that they emit.
- Prejudice: As a Sorceress (Oi!) Harry is vulnerable to the animosity of the people who inhabit the world he now calls his home, since they have a long and troubled history with the Children of Hyne, since many of them allow themselves to fall victim to the corrupting influences of the power that they wield.
- Significant Others: Harry is flirtatious with most people, and while it does seem to get him places, the only women he truly cares about are his Knight, Quistis Trepe, and their mutual friend and lover, Xu Xinyi.

Corruption
- Sorcerer's Corruption (0): Harry has a Knight, and thus can go for about a week without needing to be in Quistis' presence, at the end of which he needs to make a DC 19 Will Resistance check or gain a point of Corruption that will also manifest either a physical mutation or a -1 reduction to one of Harry's mental attributes. The check to resist the Corruption is repeated for each week that Harry puts off his return to Quistis' presence, and the effects of this corruption are immediately cleared when he does return.

Whispers in the Dark
Premise: Jenova thought she had finally found a way to escape from Hojo's clutches, but it turns out that her so-called “Son” was more focused on restoring his honor than helping his poor mother. But for all her rage, she was impotent. Until a dying young man crawled out of the Lifestream. Together, maybe they would have a second chance at life.
Required Inclusions:
- The main consciousness of Jenova must be trapped within Sephiroth’s mind, and will therefore be almost completely impotent.
- With that said, Jenova must have grown bored with the idea of conquering the world she now inhabits, and must instead desire to live a life that is free from her current shackles.
- After her “son” casts Jenova’s consciousness out into some abomination in hopes that she can slow his pursuers, she’ll manage to split off a number of her cells in order to escape her cage.
- Unfortunately, she will be so weak that even the local fauna could finish her off for good, and that would have come to pass if not for the most unlikely of circumstances.
- Either Lady Luck or Minerva must have taken pity on Jenova, since her diminished form stumbled upon an upsurge in the Lifestream from which a young man had just emerged.
- This dying young man is none other than Harry Potter, Auror extraordinaire, who met his match while attempting to take down a vampire of incredible skill and power.
- The consciousnesses of both his own planet and Gaia chose to take pity on Harry and send him to where he could potentially be saved by Jenova, who would also die without a Host.
- Jenova and Harry must enter into a Faustian Deal, with our hero becoming the new vessel for her consciousness until such time as she can survive without the aid of a host body.
- Jenova must call forth as many cells as she can, and use them to permanently reconstruct her new partner, transforming him so that he is on par with the legendary members of SOLDIER.
- While putting a stop to Sephiroth’s ambitions is one part of their goals, the more immediate concern is collecting enough of Jenova’s cells that she can construct a new body.
- Jenova must eventually be Harry’s primary romantic interest, with any other romantic partners being able to join the pairing only after securing her blessing.
- Even if she wished to do so, Jenova will be unable to take control of Harry, since his mental fortitude is far too strong to allow her to subvert his mind in that manner.
- Harry and Jenova must eventually form an alliance with AVALANCHE, but they must also remain largely autonomous from that organization.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry should save Aerith from her demise at the City of the Ancients, shifting her romantic interest towards him and away from Cloud.
- The first thing Jenove should do once she has a proper female body should be to test drive it by engaging in carnal relations with an all too willing Harry.
- During his transit between Terra and Gaia, Harry should have met with Genesis Rhapsodos, who decided to give the young wizard his sword, the Rapier.
- Jenova should be what is called a Tsundere, showing her soft side only when in private with Harry and anyone else that counts as one of her most cherished people.
- Luna Lovegood should have joined Harry on his trip to the world of Final Fantasy 7, and may even end up becoming a Jenova Hybrid of one sort or another.
- Harry should procure a vehicle of some sort that can be used as a conveyance for both himself, and any allies he gathers on his journey, such as a car, or van of some sort.
Optional Inclusions:
- During his reconstruction, Jenova could have broken down Harry’s wand into basic materials allowing her to fuse it with his new body, granting him the ability to use magic without a focus.
- Harry could take to calling Hojo’s laboratory at Shinra a “Creepy Sex Dungeon” after Jenova tells him about what sorts of experiments the man likes to perform.
- After seeing the oversized swords that Cloud and Sephiroth are known to wield, Harry could snark about how they are clearly compensating for something.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry and Jenova, the pathetic emo doormats.
- Harry being involved in a male-slash pairing.
- Jenova returning to her old modus operandi.
- Jenova being unable to give Harry children.
- Harry returning to the world of his birth.
