Nightbird
HP: 0
Condition: Normal

Hmmm either she was losing her touch or may be time to try something different. Opening her mouth Imogen started to sing, her voice making the sound of fingernails on a blackboard a mother's lullaby.

Moonlight
HP: 1 LP: 0
Condition: -1 Toughness

The powerful, hurricane-strength screen of wind surrounding her almost absorbs the full force of the blow, but just enough gets through for Aranel to feel it.

Your birdy wail slams into the two demons but they are much tougher than the average target.

Your blast clips the demon but only causes a grunt in pain.

He then pulls on the whip causing it to constrict and burn into Gelert's shields.

Amethyst
Condition: normal / HP: 1

"Right. So all the usual things nanomachines are weak to, like EMP, radiation and heat, can't be used. Looks like it's time to fight fire with fire!"

A missile warps in from hyperspace and releases a shower of powdery, white dust over the nanite-infected servers. Trillions of counter-nanites descend in a fine mist, microscopic machines built to seek out and destroy other nanites. Upon contact, they rapidly proliferate and differentiate into dozens of variants adapted to eliminate whatever nanobots were encountered. Some invade other nanomachines to comandeer their machinery and destroy them from within, like bacteriophages are to bacteria. Others attack them mechanically and chemically, swallowing them whole or releasing powerful oxidants and corrosives, dissecting enemies with picoscale lasers or monomolecular blades. And when there was nothing left to destroy, they would silently self-destruct, leaving behind only a fine silicone dust.

Best of all, while normal nanites depend on energy available in the environment or the substrate they grow, these use energy beamed from her suit. All she had to do was leave, and they'd deactivate - there was zero chance of a runway grey goo incident. Amethyst had made these for cleaning up all the nanotechnology that got thrown around in modern supervillain plots, so they ought to come in handy here, too.

OOC

Stunt the following power off the primary array

"Counter-Nanites" Nullify nanomachines 11 (Increased duration: concentration +1) 22pp

With the descriptor of nanites.

Then use it to disable the nanomachines infecting the server as a standard action

I think I need a power check to use nullify, so here is one.
AA Amethyst power check: 1D20+11 = [4]+11 = 15

Moonlight
HP: 1 LP: 0
Condition -1 Toughness [4 rounds until healed]

Seeing her wind have little effect on the demon, Aranel hopes as beings from a place of fire and heat they would react badly to water. Forming a giant whip of water she swung her arms and willed it to zig-zag around to strike at both demons at once.

Gelert

Your blast slams hard into the demon causing it to drop the whip and release you.

The demon points his flaming sword at Gelert and fires a blast of fire at Gelert.

Amethyst

The missile easily takes out the nanites covering the system.

You move over and access the servers and start hunting down the virus. Something is odd about this one. There doesn't seem to be any payload. It seems to be entirely about evading discovery. This virus isn't going to allow CJ to do anything with these systems.
Using your previous roll on the virus.

The water has little effect on these demons.

Again, the demons attack the two women with brutish attacks. Nightbird is able to easily avoid them but Moonlight is again clipped by one of them.

Nightbird

Targeting the first demon that she had injured, Imogen snap kicked the same knee several times in seconds before backing away into a corner of the room, hopefully it would reduce the space for the demons to attack her.

Your first kick to its knee causes it to drop to the ground, causing the followup kicks to slam into its face.

The demon falls forward on its face.

Amethyst
Condition: Normal > Fatigued / HP: 1

Amethyst stares at the readout on her holographic screen. "Seriously? Nothing?"

She expected something basic at least - something to encrypt all the data on the server and make it inaccessible, for example.

"He may be buying time," Amy suggests. "Tying us up trying to find a payload that isn't there."

And of course, just because there is no payload doesn't mean CJ can't wreak havoc later on an infected machine. It would be like a burglar having the keys to your home. Maybe Amy has a point.

"If you're right, whatever's on the third server is gonna be the worst." She turns and heads for the last machine.

Moonlight
HP: 1 LP: 0
Condition: -2 Toughness [heals in 3 rounds, 2nd heals in 5 rounds]

Another powerful blow from the demon and it just barely overcame the intense wind barrier protecting her. "Time to wipe you out!" A powerful column of water in the shape of a vast drill crashes toward the demon.

Amethyst

"Or this may all be a distraction for something else," Amy responds.

You reach the third server area to find the whole thing surrounded by an EM field.

"The field is strong enough that it could seriously damage the suit's systems," Amy explains. "And the field will prevent any kind of remote access."
