The Underworld Monarch Brainstorm & Notes

The Underworld Monarch
Premise: There was much more to Harry Potter than meets the eye. He was always a real dichotomy between light and dark. Sometimes he was as warm as the noonday sun, but at other times it was better to just get out of his way. For you see, Harry was actually the new Prince of the Underworld and the closest to the hearts of Hades and Persephone.
Required Inclusions:
- Harry Potter must be the legitimate son of Lord Hades and Lady Persephone of the Underworld, as well as being their youngest child.
- Harry would have been born as a full-fledged deity, even if his parents conceived them while their divine powers were sealed, if not for the meddlesome antics of the Moirai.
- Getting rid of Voldemort once and for all was only the first step on Harry’s long road towards recovering his Divine Spark, but it was also a massive step that made him a Demigod.
- Hades and Persephone either took a vacation in the mortal world, going so far as to seal their divine powers and some memories, or they were being punished by Zeus during that time.
- Hades must possess the standard Shapeshifting powers of the Olympians, which means his skeletal appearance from Highschool DxD is used mainly for terrifying supplicants or enemies.
- Hades must maintain a standardized human appearance, possibly even the appearance he had while living as James, when interacting with his family in private.
- Hades and Persephone must both care deeply for their youngest child, and do as much as they can from their realm in order to assist him, even if a proper reunion will have to wait.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Hades should be persuaded to extend an olive branch to the Devils after he and his wife discover that their son has formed a relationship with either Rias Gremory or Sona Sitri.
- Harry’s powers, aside from his wizarding magic, could be an even mix of the domain powers associated with his parents. For example, plant manipulation and umbrakinesis.
- Harry could be a true magnet for trouble due to his status as a Demigod, since there are numerous things which would either like to kill him, or use them for their own dark purposes.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry could have an extreme fascination for redheads that will result in someone commenting on how similar he is to his father at around the same age. Bonus points if Aphrodite says it.
- The Deathly Hallows could actually be something that Pluto, Orcus or Thanatos set up.
Forbidden Things:
- Hades offering true loyalty to the Khaos Brigade or Old Satan Faction.
- Harry being convinced to renounce his divine mantle.
- Harry the Malevolent Emo Doormat.

Denial Ain’t Just a River in Egypt
Premise: Harry Potter’s life was the epitome of the infamous Chinese curse. After a faulty portkey dumps him in Cairo, his so-called father suddenly remembers Harry’s existence. Once he’s been trained up enough, Harry is promptly sent all the way to a quiet Japanese town to attend lessons at Kuoh Academy. One thing is certain, life won’t be boring around these Devil princesses.
Required Inclusions:
- In this scenario, Harry Potter must actually be the demigod son of Khepri, the Egyptian god of the rising sun, and thus the heir to Khepri’s divine legacy.
- Khepri must have incarnated himself as James Potter as a form of vacation where he wouldn’t have to concern himself with anything really important.
- Just like the Pagan deities of old, once his mortal shell died, Khepri couldn’t raise his demigod offspring and pretty much forgot about his existence.
- That all changed, however, when a spell hit the Triwizard Cup just as Harry and the deceased Cedric were leaving the Graveyard, causing them to be diverted all the way to Cairo, Egypt.
- Suddenly reminded of his son’s existence, Khepri must send his most loyal servants to fetch the boy, who is in dire need of both healing and training.
- While Cedric’s body will be respectfully sent back to his parents for burial, Harry will be forbidden by Divine Decree from returning to his homeland for an undecided amount of time.
- Khepri must still be very bitter about the British’s past conquest of Egypt and as revenge, he will deny them their prophesied child. Great Britain will either burn or save themselves.
- While Khepri will be fond of his son, and treat him fairly, he will still prefer to be called “Father” instead of “Dad” when interacting with Harry, and will remain detached from his son’s life.
- Harry’s powers, as an Egyptian demigod, must be based around Divine Light and the Egyptian style of magic, with only a secondary base in the wizarding style of magic.
- Khepri must send Harry to Kuoh Town in Japan on his seventeenth birthday to act as an envoy between the Egyptian Pantheon and the Devils who dwell in the Underworld.
- Harry’s primary romantic pairings must be with Xenovia Quarta and Rias Gremory, the latter of whom will be very adamant that she is not attracted to him, despite being betrothed to him.
- Harry must become entrenched in the events surrounding the Occult Research Club and the Kuoh Academy Student Council. The extent of his entrenchment is up to the author.
- Harry must butt heads with Rias and/or Sona at least once over a topic they feel is important, but which he could care less about, resulting in him exclaiming “Well, excuse me, your majesty!”
Preferred Inclusions:
- While Harry is unable to seek Voldemort out and exterminate him, the same cannot be said for Voldemort, and since Khepri is not cruel, Harry will be allowed to defend himself in such cases.
- The Horcrux in Harry’s scar should be removed in a safe and effective manner during the boy’s time in Egypt being healed and trained in the ways of Egyptian magic and warrior arts.
- Akeno should repeatedly taunt Rias with the phrase “Denial is not just a river in Egypt” once it becomes clear to everyone that Rias is actually falling in love with Harry, despite her refutations.
- While Harry has been forbidden from ever setting foot in England again, nothing is stopping him from placing phone calls or writing letters to his friends who he’s left behind in that country.
- Rias could ask Harry to assist her with the process of training Hyoudou Issei after realizing that his Patronus Charm is a form of Holy Magic, which could be what she and Harry disagree on.
- Like the curious cat that she is, Bastet could make frequent visits to Harry’s home, even if only to bother him for her own entertainment.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry’s main weapon / new magical focus, could be a rather ornamental staff in the shape of an Ankh with a Scarab Beetle on the reverse end to signify his relationship with Khepri.
- Harry’s eyes could change to a soft amber color after he awakens to his true divine heritage and/or while he is channeling divine magic.
- Harry and Xenovia could have a fractious relationship when they first encounter one another due to Xenovia’s rather confrontational attitude, even if they quickly grow to love one another.

- Lareina Jenkins: Xenovia is someone who takes Harry's tendency to rush into places where other angels fear to tread to the Nth Degree. She doesn't know the meaning of the word "fear", and "retreat" was also removed from her internal lexicon. For her, the only combat related words that matter are "Attack! Attack! Attack!"
- Motivation: Justice: Xenovia sees absolutely nothing wrong with killing Devils, Vampires and even exiled members of the Church, because she has been raised to believe that such indviduals are inherently evil. Wizard of Destruction v2 Brainstorm

Wizard of Destruction
Premise: When he was a baby, Harry Potter destroyed a Dark Lord. When he was 11, he destroyed a rogue Professor. When he was 12, he destroyed a Diary and Basilisk. How will the Wizarding World react to a savior with the ability to turn anything into dust?
Required Inclusions:
- Harry is allowed to possess any moral or ethical alignment that the author desires, however it is preferred that he fall along the Light (Good) or Gray (Neutral) moral axis.
- Harry must possess the Bael family trait, known as the Power of Destruction, and further, must be a scion of the House of Gremory, which ranks as a Duke of the 72 Pillars of the Underworld.
- How Harry manages to discover his family trait is up to the author, but it must happen no earlier than his third year as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
- Naturally, Harry’s ability to channel the Power of Destruction must make certain people very nervous, as it is something that could easily lead to their demise.
- This story must be a crossover with High School DxD, with Harry’s mother actually being the younger sister of Sirzechs Lucifer, and therefore the elder sister of Rias Gremory.
- Harry must come into possession and bond with his mother’s Evil Pieces, which will unfortunately be missing a few of the chessmen, meaning that his peerage will be incomplete.
- Harry must still be the one who is destined to defeat the Dark Lord Voldemort, but due to the quirks of the Evil Piece system, this destiny will be shared by the members of his Peerage.
Preferred Inclusions:
- The Delacour sisters should be Miracle Children, with their mother being the Seraph known as Gabriel, what this means for their relationship with Harry will be up to the author.
- Harry’s “saving people thing” should play at least some part in helping him to select members for his peerage, but it also shouldn’t be the only method he has for selecting those members.
- Harry should replace Rias in the Betrothal Contract that exists between the House of Gremory and Phenex, with young Ravel as his Bride-to-Be.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry could *accidentally* vaporize the Dursley family, thereby ending his visits to Surrey.
- If Fleur is a Miracle Child, then her “Leetle Boi” comment could be partially motivated by the rivalry that exists between Heaven and the Underworld.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry being convinced to give up on his family trait.
- Harry being romantically interested in men.
- Harry the malevolent emo doormat.

- Destiny: It is Harry's destiny to be the one that ultimately vanquishes the dark wizard who styles himself as "Lord Voldemort."
- Honor: Harry will always keep his word once he has given it, strives to uphold the common good, and is never underhanded in his dealings.

Once More With Feeling Brainstorm & Notes

Once More With Feeling
Premise: It was the height of irony that a mundane car accident is what ultimately killed Harry Potter. Unfortunately, dying was never going to be the end of his adventures. When next he woke, Harry was no longer a human wizard, but rather the Heir of House Astaroth, one of the 72 Pillars of the Underworld!
Required Inclusions:
- When Harry Potter inevitably passes onto the Next Great Adventure, he must find that he is being reincarnated, rather than being allowed to co-mingle with his deceased loved ones.
- Harry’s new life will be as a young Pure-Blooded Devil who answers to the name of Diodora Astaroth, and he must repurpose the nature of Diodora’s peerage, if not it’s composition.
- Harry must be willing to answer to either his original name or the one he was born to in this reality, but this depends on who is speaking to him and whether they know of his origins.
- The Astaroth family power must be known to the 72 Pillars as the Power Over Snakes, even if Harry himself will refer to the ability as Parseltongue.
- Harry is obviously not as evil or twisted as canon Diodora but neither is he a white knight like the canonical Harry Potter. This could be due to his past life or just growing up a devil.
- Harry/Diodora must become involved with the events which surround Kuoh Academy due in part to his desire to punish Raynare for thinking that she can hold one over on him.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Diodora’s hair and eye color should undergo a metamorphosis that causes them to resemble the hair and eye color that Harry had in his original reality.
- Asia Argento should end up joining Diodora/Harry’s peerage instead of Rias Gremory’s since Harry won’t be willing to negotiate with Raynare the way his canonical counterpart was.
- To go along with the Astaroth family power statement, one of Harry’s peerage members should be a Lamia, Gorgon or Naga. It is the author’s choice as to which piece.
Optional Inclusions:
- To go along with Harry’s repurposing of Diodora’s peerage, he could make it his mission to offer people second chances by giving them a place in his peerage.
- Harry could win at a game of chess against Sona and end up betrothed to her.

Complications
- Cordon Bleugh Chef: Sona is known for using absurdly ridiculous flavors when baking cakes, and will usually end up with a result that looks incredibly sumptuous, but which actually tastes rather frightful. As such, her sister Serafall is the only person who willingly eats Sona's confectionary delights.
- Honor: Sona will always keep her word once she has given it, and strives to uphold the common good.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Sona's entire reason for attending a mundane school is to learn how they go about teaching teenagers important subjects so that she can include such things in the curriculum of the school she wants to build for Low-Class Devils.
- Power Loss: Sona loses access to her Infernal Durability when resisting the effects of Radiant or Holy attacks, and she does not benefit from her Fast Healing power while recovering from damage caused by such attacks.
- Relationships: As the Student Council President, Sona tends to act as a neutral third party when the Occult Research Club is involved in negotiations with a potentially hostile diplomatic envoy. She is also the younger sister (by a few hundred years) to Serafall Leviathan.
- Weakness: Sona gains the Dazed condition when exposed to verbalized prayer or scripture dedicated to the Biblical God.
