We're mostly on the same page then. I would exclude Jeeps and Humvees. Yes, the military uses those, but they aren't military vehicles like a tank or APC. You're dealing with heavy, non-civilian vehicles. This would not apply to the Altima.

Ok, my mistake. That would make his roll a 14 instead of a 13, which is till a failure. I'll factor in his DEX on subsequent rolls.

Also, I'll await Diego's Aid roll. John's roll is currently adjusted with a -1 overall penalty, so he'll take any little bonus he can get. It wouldn't surprise me if John has to burn some or all of his HPs on these rolls.

Diego is stepping out in front of a car. There is a chance he will get hit making this diversion. If you are willing to automatically take that hit, I'll allow John to make his get away without any rolls.

I am assuming Diego would know the wound patterns or have more insight than me on how to sell this deception. Never having been hit by a car, much less one in a chase, I am going off what I see in TV and movies.

The Altima isn't a vehicle that you had time to prep and pack with gear. You stolen it after your previously stolen vehicle was seized by the police at your motel.

The gear you have is effectively whatever you were carrying when you walked out the door tonight. Bearing in mind John lost his handgun and knife when the PCs encountered the police and National Guard on the road earlier in the day.

Ok, John is under the impression that Diego and Aiden might have brought something and left it in the car. When he finds a suitable spot, he glance in the floorboards and back seat of the car before taking a quick look in the trunk. He would just want to make sure that no obvious piece of iportant equipment got left behind. As for John...yeah...he didn't bring anything of value with him.
