I was waiting for mrdent12 to post in order to see if Diego would act before certain "trigger" events occurred.

John will not resist being cuffed, but Iona will not allow a soldier to restrain her with handcuffs. She will resist - so to speak - if a soldier comes close enough to try and grab her.

Should I wait for mrdent12 to post or should I proceed with what Iona would do under the present circumstances?

Diego is behind the APC. The machine gunner is on the roof. The people lined up at the barricade are on the opposite side of the APC. Diego can see some of them, but not all. You'd need to do a bit of maneuvering to see the machine gunner and the rest of the people at the barricade. Being on the proper side of the APC, needed to see all the people at the barricade, would meet with resistance from Diego's escort.

Diego is going to meet resistance in general at this point. His combat form isn't exactly subtle.

Simplest option is to get on top of the APC. You'll have a close look at the machine gun and an elevated view of everything else.

That said, bear in mind, when combat kicks off, mechanically you will be targeting a Force consisting of several people. Not individual targets. You are assumed to be cleaving and blasting your way through a crowd of people. Not walking up to one guy and attacking him and only him.

The idea is to cut through people unleashing his full combat might not go after one person. It's part of the rationale of getting takedown so when it's not a force he can still cut through people. The hope was one of the people he cut through was the machine gun person. I should get the post up in an hour or two

Turns out 3 hours sleep a night for a week, being in rooms with poor ventilation of sick people, and a diet of snacks isn't so great for ones health. So my creativity level is rather low currently. I updated his last post in the IC thread with the attack.

He'd need to truly unleash his power which would undoubtedly draw the ire of Praetor Null.

You've already exposed your powers to the public. Well, Iona and Peter did. Null wanted the element of surprise when it came to the big battle with Stronghold. That's ruined now. They've already vented their displeasure on Diego for that failure. You aren't going to get beat over the head every time you use your powers in a public display going forward. The damage is done.

That aside, if Diego is trying to make the scene look like a Macro-Virus abomination attack, slip a Deception check into your post.

When you get your creative juices flowing again, I'd like a description of Diego's battle form so that I can visualize it.

I'm going to put a post up an IC post soon. I'll will roll Initiative for Diego since you didn't include that in your post. There will also be some reminders for Mass Combat.
