Aldan
Passive Perception:14 | Init:+4 | AC:17 | HP:21/21

Aldan uses some of their threadbare clothing to bind them. It shouldn't need much given their weakened state. He'll look around for something to cover them.

They needed to get further into complex though.

Tyragorn
HP: 21 AC:18

"Zasio is right. Giving them strength before breaking the spell is asking for trouble." Tyragorn blinked trying to get used to the light change. "Any idea which way to go?"

"Zasio, can you determine which of the directions most recently have had people pass?" Aldan asks. "Left door, right door, or straight?"

The guards are trussed up without any difficulty, and while the material making the bonds aren't the best, the captive's weakened state evens things out.

A cursory look reveals that the least used path is to the west, though it appears that heavy things have been dragged that way.
To the east is a fairly heavily used area, the footprints all appears to be human and barefoot, much like the captive guards.
The path to the south has seen heavy usage, but very few of the footprints have been made recently. The footprints vary between boots, bare feet, goblin and even the faint traces of lizardmen.

“I think South is where we should go to find the most foes responsible for the running of this place.” Aldan speculates.

He checks the southern door to see if it is locked.

All of the passageways are open, lacking any doorway to speak of.
The path to the west appears to be largely a natural tunnel, while the one to the east is obviously man made with questionable skill.
The one to the south is also man made, though it appears to have been done with a better quality, the passage appears to open into a much larger room.

Let's carefully go South. Aldan recommends he and Zasio travel a bit ahead, out of the range of the Light spell that the humans need to navigate by.

"You'll hear the screams if things don't go well. I'm told mine is particularly shrill and high-pitched." Aldan says with a dim smile before he and Zasio head south.

The hallway opens into a large room.
This lofty room has a ceiling 15' over the floor, supported by four stout columns of unadorned wood. The center of the room is a muddy pit, but floors are still dry towards the walls.
On the south wall is a doorway opening up into a hallway leading off to the east and the west.

Aldan will wave the humans forward, but slowly. If Zasio did move forward with him he'll advise the half-elf to go right from the entrance and he himself would switch to his shortbow and stealth around to the left sticking close to the walls, carefully.
Stealth: 1d20+6 23
As a Bonus action, he'll drag an invisible mage hand through the mud in the center of the room, sifting it for any items near the surface and seeing if there's a reaction to the unseen pressure.

The mud isn't very deep, and after a minute of digging with the Mage Hand you can feel very confidant that there isn't anything hidden in the mud.

As, presumably, the others come forward, Aldan will listen down either passage to see what noises might be coming from either side of the T-intersection. The thick stone construction might muffle all sound from either passage.

If no sounds, Aldan flips a coin in his head.

Tyragorn
HP: 21 AC:18

Tyragorn struggled to see Aldan waving in the darkness ahead but finally caught the motion and jogged to enter the room. Seeing the mud churning startled him for a second before he realized it was the elf's magic hand doing it.

Zasio Blackthorn:
HP: 31
AC: 14
Objects of Interest: Z Goodberries (3 - each heals 1 hp), SB Goodberries (3 - each heals 4 hp)

Heading to the right per Aldan’s direction, Zasio carefully makes his way across the space avoiding the mud. He’ll hover at the entrance to listen for any sounds or spot any signs of recent use of the hallway.
