OOC: Against the Cult of the Reptile God - D&D 5E - Recruiting Closed
Re: OOC: Against the Cult of the Reptile God - D&D 5E - Recruiting Closed
I think there's around that many NPCs...
Re: OOC: Against the Cult of the Reptile God - D&D 5E - Recruiting Closed
Any chance we saw some sort of cart outside any of the buildings we passed on the way to the Constable's house?
Re: OOC: Against the Cult of the Reptile God - D&D 5E - Recruiting Closed
There's a small hand cart outside that will work with enough elbow grease and people assisting.
Think along the size of extra large wheelbarrow except with two wheels. It's not perfect and will require you guys to balance the load as you go, but it could work.
Spears are lovely weapons for unskilled combatants, but they do make transportation and storage a pain in the ass.

Apologies to Flynn, apparently I did a terrible job of letting him know about the magic bag he's had for about a year now.
Whoops ;~)

With Aldan's words can Tyragorn have advantage on that check?

Re: OOC: Against the Cult of the Reptile God - D&D 5E - Recruiting Closed
I don't really feel like you'd get an advantage off of what Aldan brought to the table. I mean, trying to talk sense into a teenager sounds like a act with disadvantage built into it.
But I do feel like you guys need something for this complication I dumped on you. Except D&D says you're only allowed 1 Inspiration.
... So screw the rules, currently everybody's got two points of Inspiration (read: Hero Point rerolls).
Don't worry, I'm sure if you're dedicated you can sneak off to the swamp without her ;~)

It's coming up on a week. Is there more needed from anyone here to progress?

Well, the GM needs to put up a post.
So I don't know what some people were thinking, but I really think this is possibly the worst starter game for a GM ever. There's a lot of details, which is lovely, but trying to keep all the characters in order can be a nightmare at times.
If I was going to do this again, I think I'd have found something far more linier and contained.
And not just painted myself into a corner which involves introducing half the bloody town ;~)
Okay, time to push the overwhelming numbers of nonsense out of the way and figure a reasonable way of handling this.

For the sake of my sanity I skipped mentioning about ten plus other people being in the area.
On the bright side it means that it's less names you'll need to remember!

The bad news: Yes the people from the church have been released and pressed into service.
The good news: Somebody stole all of the things they needed for magic, not to mention their weapons and armor. So a stiff breeze (1 HP) could take them out, and barely a threat so hopefully you don't feel that it takes away from your victory against them.
The standard farmers on your side are now far more terrifying than they are.

Oh the amount of havoc one sleep spell could do against a force like that...Arkrite wrote: ↑Sun Mar 27, 2022 5:23 am The bad news: Yes the people from the church have been released and pressed into service.

I believe it's about mid afternoon right now, sun is still out and shining.
The weather doesn't seem to realize how dramatically correct overcast and raining would be.

So I dug through the entire adventure and to my surprise the word "Bridge" is used twice. And one of those times is in reference to the map symbols.
I can see arguments for both wood and stone, so leaving it up to fate we get.... stone!
As for the Roll20, I will have to check it out on the weekend.
Things are a bit hectic now, surgery for a family member. Everything is good, but I'm a bit wiped after the last couple days.

I hope your family member is doing well. One of mine broke both bones in his forearm and spent a few hours in the ER last Saturday.
Am I the only one that doesn't know which building is the inn and where we are right now? I don't know where you have the labels for the map numbers linked.
