background:

PACRATs were a precursor to the modern attack drone program given to the Joes to test in the field, they proved remarkably successful in their first engagement against a squadron of HISS tanks and Artillery as well as ground troops and some air vehicles. However they ran into problems when cobra counter attacked with their new SNAKE suits piloted at the time by a captured Snake eyes and Quinn. the two damaged the pacrats putting them out of the fight with the SNAKES capabilities but would both break free and quinn would use the machine gun pacrats weapons to disable the tank dr venom was in.

For a field test the drones accounted themselves well and were used in other engagements as test beds for other weapons and moments where sending in a living person was too dangerous

Upgraded versions have come out since then but the classics remain in use in limited fashion as well

tactics:

fast mobile and armed to the teeth PACRATS work well in pairs communicating with each other and their base. while not trully autonomous they have a very well-integrated smart system in place that can follow orders and request assistance from recognized authorities theyre virtually hackproof and if disconnected from their controllers will revert to a standard protocl and attempt to return to the nearest base or recognized joe personnel for orders
