Did Al Filipeli ever get into comics?

Post by Spectrum »

Looking over some of the Palladium artwork I was reminded of one of the coloring books from my early childhood, really incredible stuff.

Doing a casual Google search was a pretty quick dead end.

Is anybody familiar with his artwork and where he ended up? I think that he could have had a pretty great career in more technical comic books.

Thank you!

Neither of the big two have any work by an individual using that name on their wikis, but it's possible that he worked for them under another one ... which would make it impossible to find out, of course.

Skullmageddon: "No, a literal ghost pepper. They're the ghosts of peppers prematurely eaten."
Kyoko: "This town is so weird."

That's a very cool cover! Reminds me of a lot of rpg/miniatures artwork from that era, along with Saturday morning cartoon stuff.

All my best.

Inspired by the "Saturday morning cartoon stuff" that greycrusader mentioned, I typed "filipeli animation" into Google. I managed to find the artist's Goodreads page, as well as an eBay page for a coloring book not listed there. I think this might be the limit of what I can do.
