initial recovery: 6d6=1, 5, 6, 4, 2, 624 4 or 5 if chalk applies.
Lloyd will wave the others on, North, the plan was still a good one - some of their number distract and draw fire... literally, while the others take her from a different angle. He pulled the soaked cloak tighter about himself knowing his own glide cape was useless right now.
[Sorry, yes, Moira would, indeed, convey the information to the group to the best of her ability. (I don't recall who else has Hand Signs, a custom skill off of Cunning). She'd use that if Wispering Wind expired.
This includes that the enclosed, littered courtyard next to Dog and Ericka seemed to be Sigil-free if they wanted to go that way. Though Dog can Levitate and Blink to make his passage easier.
]
Moira winced at the cacophony. Would Helmontra send her flaming beast at them now? She prepared herself.
As for the path before Ericka and Dog, they've got what Ericka is pretty sure is a proximity triggered sigil. It's not a posative tell since Ericka only has the basic malumeter, but where she's picking up signals compared to where she spotted the sigil is a bit lengthy. Proceed at discression and your own peril.
And don't forget you can move through the wreckage of the houses, it's just difficult terrain. (I mean, there may be sigils in there too. Never know. But akuma can fire bolts too, so, now that Helmontra is fired up, so to speak, that's a threat too.)
"Well, that should draw Helmontra's attention !" Sashura noted to herself as she covered her eyes from the ash cloud Lloyd's strike raised.
Initial Recovery check 1.27.23: 6#1d6t4+1122121
That's actually 3 successes/2 without chalk - thought the roller would just add 1 to the total, not every roll.
1 [1d6t4=3] 2 [1d6t4=5] 2 [1d6t4=5] 1 [1d6t4=2] 2 [1d6t4=4] 1 [1d6t4=2] - 3,5,5,2,4,2
At the ashen cacophony Lloyd had the good graces to look sheepish for a moment before springing into action opening himself up to the magics available to him. He first pulled on the hardened bark and set a spectral piece circling him.
Then he renewed his sight of entities around him to keep track of the akuma as she might move and look out for any concealed creatures she might call to her aid.
cunning for cast trick: [6d6=1, 2, 1, 3, 3, 3]13 that was improbable, 1 Haunt spawned. Minor/Free action.
I'm alright with it! Execept that Recover Run itself is an action, so can't do that and attack for Raptage. Could allow him to Focus for a potential AT then charge as normal
[I thought the bird was doing a charge-like combo using recovery run instead of the normal move. Charge normally costs 2 ATT, right? Recovery run doesn't take an AT, recovers AT only on 6s, and the attack takes an AT, So the bird needs to spend the AT it gained from the Recovery Run, right? Would that be allowed?]
Not quite reaching behind her, one of her spears takes shape in her hand before sailing loose on it's own. She give's it a command to come up from behind the Akuma and act as a distraction, keeping away from the ground. With that done though, now she had to figure a way around the minefield with herself and Dog...
Dog gives Ericka a confused look when she stops him, then a bug-eyed look when the explosion happens.
He stands where he is, unwilling to stumble into another one. Drawing his sword and flintlock he looks at her and mouths "Which way?"
OOC: Dog's clever plan is to follow Ericka. And since she isn't moving, recovery action! Recovery Roll: 5d6 3, 1, 3, 2, 2
So that's a zero success. So would this be a +2 for two consecutive recovery rolls, or +1 because this is the first one I actually chose to do?
The haunt gets shreadded in quick order by Raptage with nary a moment to peep.
Just Prof Weird to go. I also added a token to Roll20 for your animated spear, Doc! It's right next to Ericka and can move based on Ericka's own Agility.

2 + Recovery check 2, 2/6/23: 5d6t50
5d6t5: 0 [5d6t5=4, 3, 4, 4, 4] No successes on this Recovery check but the auto.
Don't forget you get 2 automatic successes on this one, just like Dog, from the iterative Recovery houserule.
Having heard the commotion, the tall akuma trudges forward several long strides and speaks, her voice rough, hoarse, as if speaking through severely scortched vocal chords. "Come out intruders! Come before the Flame of Helmontra, else flee and do not return, lest the village you seek to protect burns and it's people with her!" she calls out, but otherwise takes no further action.
