I could probably squeeze you in. :) This game is largely geared toward new players, so prepare for a lot of things being explained.
Fine with me. I'm so rusty it'll be good for me too.

Complications
Enemy - The organisation behind the takeover still want the suit and the other technology taken
Identity - Miles maintains a secret identity
Relationship - Miles is married with two teenage daughters. All of them know about his secret identity. His eldest daughter has started writing a blog about the hero Protector under the guise that she is a fangirl after being saved. However, worklife is a bit more problematic at the moment and he is having to work late hours to keep up the hero work.
Bonded - unknown to Miles, the suit nanites have been subtly rewiring his body. His sudden skill in using the suit and urge to become a superhero have been influenced by the nanites. Whether the nanites are reflecting Miles' own desires or something else is happening is not clear.
Prototype - the nano suit sometimes does something odd, be it an attack that does something different or an ability that replaces another one briefly before reverting to standard settings. It also wasn't complete and so far Miles hasn't had the time or resources to finish off the suit.
Enemy- the corporate raiders behind the think tank takeover want the suit. Why is unclear to Miles but he suspects its origins were less clear than he originally believed.

Background
Miles Sheldon, somewhat genius and born and raised in Freedom City. Married fairly young to his childhood sweetheart, he pottered around various corporations' lab setups until he finally pushed himself out of a rut and joined a research think tank that specialised in space exploration. Miles worked on a suit using nanites designed for deep space mining and finally got to unleash his brain on a project. It was showing promising results but then a corporate raider tried to takeover the research lab, but were temporarily rebuffed.
The owner, who had connections to Maximillian Mars, rushed to the lab panicking, requesting that Miles help him move the suit. Ownership of it had been kept separate from the Think Tank, but the owner was insistent that they move it quickly. Then, the Power Corps turned up or at least three of them did. Before he knew it, Miles was in the suit and trying to escape through Freedom City. A little bit of help from an alien looking individual, the rescue of a school bus endangered by one of the Power Corps and the arrival of the Freedom City PD meant he was safe and the Power Corps fled rather than risk capture. The Press named him Protector as he'd actively been protecting the bus live on camera.

Afterwards, Miles realised that the nanites had been actively helping him in the fight, whilst the owner was missing and barriers to the Think Tank being taken over gone. Out of a job and in possession of a suit with mysterious origins and wanted by other people, Miles has found himself in the middle of things that he wasn't sure he knew what to do about.

Complications
Doing Good (MOTIVATION): A kind word, a gift, or simply giving out a helping hand. V doesn’t entirely understand why they do all that they do, empathy and emotion are new concepts for them after all. Maybe this dimension they found themselves stranded in has changed them more than they realize… maybe that’s not such a bad thing. All they know is that it feels right to help others and stop those who would do wrong.
Reputation: V is an outerdimensional entity… one that only kind of looks humanoid and has a very “alien” appearance in their currently natural form. Due to this, they have had some trouble expressing their benevolent intentions to those they try to aid. It also doesn’t help that they have had some… interesting conspiracy theories spread about them that doesn’t paint them in a good light.
Identity: V’s persona is Isaac Cross, a detective of the “Freedom City” police department. Isaac’s superiors have watched his career with great interest, seeing him quickly rise through the ranks and solving cases that should have been dead in the water. This attention has been a double edged sword for V, as they welcome the chance to further establish themselves, but fear that this attention will get them discovered in the future. Besides work, V’s sudden appearances to fight crime has left Isaac’s few friends wondering where he disappears sometimes…
Obsession: Despite establishing themselves in this dimension and obtaining purpose and relationships dear to them, V will always wonder about their home dimension. Obtaining information in general about it, how/why V came over, or even possible ways to return to it have plagued V’s thoughts since coming here. They’re not even sure if they want to go back, but something seems to push and pull them towards that destination.

Background
- The Visitor,’ or ‘V,’ was a nameless, genderless outerdimensional entity that suddenly entered this reality a few decades ago with seemingly no rhyme nor reason. Upon entering this reality, shape and less “alien” thought were forced upon it as the laws of this existence established themselves upon the creature. With no way back and fragmented/confusing memories of their past life in their home dimension, the entity decided to establish themselves and gather information with the intent of figuring out their current predicament. Upon discovering humans and their seeming dislike for their current form, the entity would create new “personas” for itself and use its ability to read minds in order to further its ability to interact. One such persona that became a favorite due to the opportunities that presented themselves to it, was Isaac Cross, a seemingly straightforward guy who somehow stumbled his way into the police force due to the entity’s passing interest at the time (in hindsight, V is still unsure how they passed all the background checks).
- Over time, this lead to several instances where the entity was exposed to both compassion and malevolence from all kinds of humanity. Thanks for what help they could provide in one case and someone trying to get one over on them in another. It was a confusing time for them as empathy and emotions weren’t something they were familiar with firsthand, only emulating them to appear “normal”… this slowly changed however. Isaac started to go out of his way for his fellows and preemptively stop those he knew were up to no good. This lead to them gaining a few friends and actually proactively advancing in their career. Soon however, the entity was growing a little concerned why they even cared at all and why they started to feel so different about everything.
- This culminated in an event where ‘Isaac Cross’ found out about a plot perpetrated by a specific mafia gang to kill certain political figures before an up and coming election. Isaac was unable to do anything due to lack of evidence and powerful figures protecting the gang’s leadership. However, the entity would have no such restrictions. They were able to stop the plot in time, but a few public figures were able to see the entity’s true form in the attempt and an infamous blurry photo was taken before they disappeared. The entity would publicly become known as “The Visitor from Outer Space,” and much debate was had over what it was and what it was doing here. The entity was fearful at this turn of events, but also… somehow elated that they were able to save people. It didn’t quite understand why it was feeling so good about the current situation, being in the public eye and all, but decided that it was probably a something it could live with after much thought.
- The exploits of Isaac and the entity, now called “The Visitor” as a public nickname, would soon become known among much of the populace as they increased in their activity to help people, save others, and stop nefarious actors from perpetrating crime among the citizens of Freedom City.

Notes
-V took that as their official name among friends and acquaintances who know the “entity” side of them, because saying “The Visitor” might get a little tiring and “Visitor” seemed a little weird to some people.
-V doesn't entirely understand what they are, but the closest thing that makes sense is that they are partially made of thought, ie. a Thoughtform Entity. This is why some of their powers are contingent upon the perception of others and how/why they started to obtain feelings and empathy after interacting with humanity for as long as they did, as literal thoughts from others partially shaped them into what they are now.
-V's powers currently have two bases: One stems from their status as an outerdimensional thoughtform entity (ie. perception, thoughts, their memory of the "before" being able to affect the world, etc.) and the other stems from their partial connection to the dimension they came from and how they can kinda still interact with it by pushing or pulling on that connection ("Density Increase" is allowing them to become "more real" by taking more of themselves from their dimension of origin, while "Density Decrease" allows them to become less real by puting more of themselves back). For some reason, neither ability or connection will let them return to where they came from or what they once were however.

I'm on one of my lack of focus spirals where I just can't sit down and post, compounded by a new project at work, and a training course that is taking up remaining evening hours. Sorry.

So, TL;DR, I am going to wind up shutting down the game because I don't know when I'll get back to it.
