Weakness (Predictability)- These fighters cannot simply "spam" out the same attack over and over again, as the opponent will expect the attacks, and be ready for them (and a counterattack). The third time they try the same technique (or same combo of techniques) in a short span, they will be at -2 to Accuracy, AND to their Active Defenses in that round. All will decrease by 2 every successive round the same move is done.

Total: Abilities: 66 / Skills: 38--19 / Advantages: 8 + 12 / Powers: 9 / Defenses: 18 (132)

-Kaede is the Main Character of The Last Blade series, and is... pretty generic, honestly. Standard thin "pretty boy" design with short blond hair, almost exactly like Rock Howard from Fatal Fury (they share a character designer, though Kaede debuted first), plus the generic "Shotoclone" fighting style. He was adopted at a young age by a legendary swordsman, along with Yuki and Moriya. One fateful day, Kaede & Yuki come across the grisly scene of their slain father/master, with Moriya standing above him. Kaede swiftly attacks Moriya for their father's death, but his adoptive sibling avoids his attacks and leaves. Five years later (the start of the game), Kaede has reached the end of his quest for revenge, but it turns out that their father was murdered by one of the Four Guardians of Hell, Shinnosuke Kagami. Kaede is easily overpowered, but reveals a hidden strength- that of the Legendary Dragon, Seiryu (yes, the game has such a generic plot that "The Hero is actually possessing inborn might" is a trope used). He defeates Kagami, but fears lashing out with his full power again, as Seiryu may control him. In the sequel, he & Yuki attempt to perform a "Sealing Rite" to save the world from even more evil.

-So yeah, Kaede is the ultimate generic "Shotoclone"- he throws out an uppercut and an SNK Sliding Floor Blast, plus an "Across the Screen Move". However, he adds depth with an Air Grab and a Multiattack.

-Another pretty solid, if generic, design goes to Yuki, a divine priestess and major character in The Last Blade. She predates Millia Rage from Guilty Gear by a bit, but both are kinda cut from that "Generic Hot Blonde Girl" cloth, y'know? She was adopted alongside Moriya & Kaede, and goes off on a journey of knowledge and questing with Kaede when Moriya is thought to have killed their father. She is said to have develped feelings for Moriya, making their quest for revenge a bit morer pesronal. In the sequel, she is much more important- she is the one who can seal the Hell's Gate and prevent evil from overrunning the world, sacrificing herself in order to do so.

-Yuki is a standard reach-based character- common in weapon-based Fighting Games. She has a Blast, Anti-Air, Dashing Slash and an "Ice Reflector" that automatically parries an attack that strikes a disc she creates in front of her- I figure Defensive Attack is ideal for that. She is pretty well-rounded overall, and uses ice-themed attacks.

Unless that dress has some hidden slits in the sides down the right leg, it doesn't seem like a practical outfit to fight in.

-Lee Rekka is a pretty cool and timely character- a play on Jet Li's Wong Fei Hung character, using Chinese martial arts and dressing like a monk in a game full of samurai. Using fans and controlling fire with the martial arts, he tries to close the "Red Star" (Hell's Gate).

-Lee fights with an athletic style based around swooping kicks and fan strikes, mostly stuck in melee unlike most other fighters (though he gains a "Serpent Rush" that has some ranged effect). He has a Multiattack, Anti-Air and the usua, plus a "Mist Mauler" that lets him slide into the background, then lash out with a different move based off of which button you press- a fan attack, flaming flip kick, low kick series, or a palm strike. This versatility I quantify with some in-combat bluffing and an extra boost if he successfully feints the opponent.

Boo- ComicVine said this: When Kade Kilgore enlisted the help of Frankenstein to attack the Jean Grey School, Frankenstein attacked Max, having swore revenge on all members of the Frankenstein Family. He is saved by Idie Okonkwo, and in return decides to turn his back on the Hellfire Club and reclaim his name as a Frankenstein.

-The happy, jovial Juzoh, the "Big Heart", is one of the powerhouse characters in The Last Blade series, being a muscular dude who uses a stone club shaped like a baseball bat. He is the adoptive brother of Akari, having also been orphaned. He is free-spirited and lazy, and was KO'd and taken away by Akari for her mission towards Hell's Gate. He follows Akari in the second game when she tries to find the Gate again.

-Juzoh's moveset apparently underwent a huge revamp between games, as he was fairly weak at first- his style is slow and deliberate, meaning he's easy to punish and can be predictable. He ends up rather varied for someone who's not seen as that skilled or serious, with a ton of unique moves. He has an "unblockable" "Rock Crusher" headbutt that makes enemies collapse, and has a running move that gives him "super armor"- it lets him ignore certain attacks and carry on with his own. Difficult stuff to stat out in M&M but are really just explanations for his toughness and defenses (particularly Withstand Damage & Last Stand, which I'd imagine he'd use a lot). There's a joke attack where he sneezes and does minor damage- it's used just for humiliation. There's also a move where he catches jumping opponents and slams them off the top of the screen, then meets them on the way down with either a huge swing or a multi-shot ending in a big hammer blast. He also has a far-reaching "Knockdown" move and a basic Grab. Many of his moves have explosions included with them, too.

-Akari is another curiously over-represented Last Blade character, showing up in SNK Gals Fighter and Neo*Geo Battle Coliseum. The ever-present Fighting Game standby, "The Cute Kid", but she's also mystically-powered. Her family works in security but also trains its members to control spirits and "youkai". Her father has sent her to investigate the Hell's Gate and report back, but she's decided to put things right as well.

-Akari has a highly unique set-up in M&M terms- she typically doesn't use her Ofuda to attack in Special Moves, but instead fires out Blasts (in-universe kind of a Summon but it works like a blast), throws herself out of a giant mouth, or curses foes (either reversing their Up-Down controls or Left-Right controls or just turning off their Special Moves)- the latter is an especially inventive kind of thing. It's effectively an Affliction that wears off quickly, but it's at least different. There's also a Triggered Blast (a giant bell drops onto the enemy if they come close), and a Triggered Attack where she teleports out if the enemy strikes her- sort of an automatic thing. Oh, and she can also transform into a Mirror Image of her foe for ten seconds (or until struck)! This chick is INSANE.

-All of this adds up to make Akari the most versatile fighter in the game- Variable, Depowering or Disabling Afflictions (screwing up someone's movement ability is DEATH in a Fighting Game), Blasts, standard attacks, and a weird Immobile Aura.
