Ardent (Violet Rayner-Wilson)
Hero Points: 3; Current Condition: Fine

"Well then ... Clark. Lead on," she says seriously, her violet aura lifing her into the air as a violet beam shoots from her ring to expand into a bubble that encapsulates the group of survivors she had just rescued to bring them along too; wherever they were going had to be better than leaving them to wander the ruins, after all.

"Perhaps when we get where we are going I can take a look at you. Power Rings are amazing, and although you should not get your hopes up, the power of Love might be able to undo what Darkseid has done to you."

Scarab
[Teddi Kord]
HP: 3
LP: 2
Condition: Fine

Finally, a break. Your opponent charges with a massive roar revealing himself to you.

Grabbing Scarab by the shoulder and spinning her to face him, the armored beast roars again and leaps off, apparently hoping that the two heroes (or at least the Scarab) will give chase...
Scarab hovers in place for a moment, considering the oddity of her opponents action as she glances at her companion Goldstar for confirmation that it wasn't just Scarab that thought it was odd for their opponent to run off that way. But after a moment the hovering hero follows after Wildebeest.

Cyber Girl

One of the parademons pursues the cybernetic woman immediately while the other raises a wrist to speak into what appears to be a communications device. It immediately gives chase as well, determined to bring the rebel down for the glory of Darkseid...

(roll init please)

Luna Zatara

The carpet and flooring moves to protect bystanders as she attempts to deal with people that she would consider friends... Calling the Justice League was a longshot.. with her parents out of the picture, and the Sorcerer, Dr Fate, MIA there was no real resource to directly deal with threats of a magical nature - the lead contacts would be Raven Grey and... Luna herself...

Still she gets a response.

'This is Watchtower One. Acknowledged White Rabbit." Luna recognized the voice, Lady Thunder, the younger sister of Captain Thunder, "My brothers are en route..."

The only better news that she could provide would be that Superman had donned the Helm of Fate and was warping in... Now, all the White Rabbit needed to do was to survive...

Night Claw pops two claws from between his knuckles, snarling as he leaps towards her. The normally pristine silvery metal now seeming to drip with blood and ichor...

Shianna Lo'Nyla

Thresher looks ready to give you a snarky comment, but before either of you can say anything else, bubbles begin to rise from the ocean floor and the temperature of the water around you begins to quickly rise. A low rumble quickly follows... and it looks like the ocean floor is about to erupt !

Batwoman

Rat Creature (Seize Init - HP already in the three you started with)
Black Bat Init: 1d20+9 24 - Staggered (Dazed and Hindered), -1 Toughness
Mr Spider Init: 1d20+9 18
Batwoman 14

Mr Spider hits a button on his guantlet and three large metallic spiders drop from the cieling, indicating that perhaps he was not entirely the novice that he appeared to be. Strands of a sticky material shot out, latching onto the rat creature attempting to rip out the Black Bat's jugular. Her scream of pain echoes in the tunnels before the creature is force to let go...

Batwoman's turn...

Harbinger's sattelite

"Dammit" The disembodied voice said, "It looks like one of your intended recruits' world is about to be overrun..."

"Don't need to be told that, I have eyes." Harbinger's response had less annoyance to her intangible companion and more to the fact that he was stating... "Hopefully I can get there in time..."

Ardent

You can tell that Clark has long since lost the ability to hope.. but he manages another weak smile before leading you away. You note that you and your small group are left alone - despite the glowing sphere that Ardent pulls. Any effort or energy directed into the ring to scan in addition to carrying the survivors detects no parademon activity...

In short order you arrive at the ruins of what must have been a Wayne Enterprises building. Concealed in the debris is a functional door. Clark approaches it and enters a code. 'Quickly now. Our luck won't hold forever..."

As if in response, Ardent's ring warns her of an incoming unidentified presence...

(init please)

Scarab

The Scarab knows immediately that the massive armored figure is the Wildebeest - a foe of the Titans with no confirmed modus operandi, and likely an agent of Chaos on some level...

(Don't think I asked you for init yet...)

The White Rabbit
3 HP | I'm fine, but there are plenty of people who aren't

The girl winced slightly when she saw the blood. She hoped that the poor boy's victims would be stable long enough for her to manage the threats possed. If not, there were... Other methods she could employ to help. Tampering with such forces were especially dangerous however.

"Deipucco mih peek!" She shouted, thrusting her left hand up dramatically as dozens of earthen mounds appeared and erupted throngs of multi-colored rabbits. Night claw would soon be under assault from a tidal wave of cute fuzzy critters, each one doing their best to keep him out of combat.

The Batwoman

HP:1
CND: Fine

Barbara reacted quickly. Focusing her gaze onto the rat-thing, she bit down onto her tongue to draw blood. In one fluid motion, she spat the blood onto her left gauntlet and began drawing a complex sigil into the air, glowing red lines that throbbed with their own energy.
The blood called to the crimson fluid inside the creature's veins, urging it to rebel against the creature housing it.
Using Crimson Bane on the rat-thing.

Ardent initiative roll: 1D20+4 = [2]+4 = 6

Ardent moves to place herself between whatever is incoming, and the door, Clark, and the rescued people, lowering the latter down to ground level...

Shianna figured her belt would keep her from the worst of the ambient heat but it wouldn't help if there was actually an eruption.

Mentally she commanded the staff to absorb the worst of the heat but also directed the staff downward to Create a shimmering convex construct to direct the heat outward and around them with a shallow bowl shape taking up 1000 cu ft. in as wide an area as she can make it. It should be unmoved by the pressure below it, but stay with Shianna as she swims.

"I'm making a safe space, Thresher, you'll want to stay near me." With that she starts swimming out of the area giving the Sea Devil a chance to keep up.

Immunity to Environmental effects should keep the worst of the ambient heat at bay.
If the heat damage gets so bad where we make toughness checks, we should have Second Chance vs. it:
AE: Energy Absorption: Second Chance (Toughness vs. Electricity Descriptor Damage), Affects Others, Area-burst. &
Energy Absorption: Second Chance (Toughness vs. Fire/Heat Descriptor Damage), Affects Others, Area-burst
{Staff passive absorbs energy in an area giving targets a better chance to resist incoming electrical or Fire attacks}

And Standard action to Create an immobile shallow energy field below them to take and disperse most of the heat.
AE-Energy Construct Creation: Create, Moveable, Precise, Stationary, Tether 10

White Rabbit

It works ! The sheer absurdity of it can't possibly be lost on the young sorceress... seeming dozens of cute, fluffy bunnies slow Night Claw, confusing him perhaps even sparking recognition in the X-Titan leader... But then Wingman swoops down from the rafters, making a bee-line towards her...

"SHAZAM !" Two voices in unison call out, and a huge clap of thunder fills the confined area,

"White Rabbit!" Kid Thunder, the youngest member of the Seven Thunders says, "Lady Thunder sends her regards, but we have major issues.... Trigon's forces are attacking - the Justice League has been taken over... "

Raven Gray snarls in answer, the golden firebird of her soul self flaring out, "You will never stop my father! From the ashes of this world, he will remake his throne!"

Scarab

The Wildebeest seems to be taunting, silently waiting for you to do something.

"What in the name of double-stuff oreos is going on ?" Goldstar exclaimed, equally confused...

Scarab is actually up, per init...

Starfish

Thresher does not look the type to accept offers of safe haven, but given the rapidly heating waters, he quietly moves closer. Starfish is acutely aware that she has essentially just offered safe haven to a sentient shark... the temperature keeps rising... She can feel the pressure building along with the heat and then she can see what looks like vaguely humanoid - almost ape-like - forms streaming up from the ocean floor in large numbers.... whatever this is, it looks like an invading army !

Ardent

Superman appears to be rendered powerless save for whatever the armor affords him. In addition to a fraction of his power as the Man of Steel, the armor is also acting as a life support system. Ardent can read radiation poisoning... his cells have been infected with Kryptonite... altered to not kill him, but able to drive the solar radiation from his cells and leave him in a state of pain... leaving him to watch in despair and fear as Darkseid conquered the world... If only Lois were still alive...

Preparing herself for what's coming and ensuring the safety of the survivors leaves her open to attack. Clark turns, opening fire with an uncharacteristic (for Superman anyway) scream of defiance. Ardent's shields take the brunt of the parademon attack...

(Three separate Toughness saves please, DC 24)

Batwoman

The Rat Thing scrambles off of the Black Bat, scurrying back against the sewer wall, clutching its head and hissing at Batwoman.

its stunned

Mr Spider taps something on his wrist and one of his Web Spheres drops down next to his partially submerged partner. It quickly starts to weave a web-like bandage over the gaping tear in her neck... but its clear that woman has already lost a lot of blood. In response, the rat-thing wipes its forearm across its mouth, savoring the taste of the Black Bat's blood... before looking at and locking eyes with the Batwoman...

"Okay, Thresher, are your 'friends' close? These things look like they threaten all of the ocean, Sea Devils included."

"How about it?" she asks, trying to convince him to lend his support.

The White Rabbit
3 HP | Really rather concerned at the current state of things

"My entire world runs on absurdity," She comments, to seemingly n one in particular. "You're being mean again..."

Seeing the sudden appearance of the young heroes is always a rather shocking experience, but one she welcomed whole-heartedly. Even if the news they brought was rather dire. To thin, that not only her friends have been twisted and made corrupt, but their own parents and mentors as well? Why was she spared of this sudden torment?

"Raven... I think you need a time out." Luna stepped widely in mid-air, holding out her hands and starting to center herself. What she needed first was to figure out where, exactly, her friend actually is right now. Her clothes started to ruffle as the background tune picked up in speed. The make up she wore starts to flake off as the wind picks up, as the young woman realized that at the moment, her state of appearance was truly only superficial. "Please, keep them occupied."

'Think, think... If I can find it, there must be something I can do... some what to undo the damage... Right?'

The Batwoman

HP:1
CND: Fine

Holding its gaze, Batwoman smirks grimly. " Don't fool yourself, monster. We have nothing in common."
Her body becomes a blur as she moves towards the rat-creature, delivering a gauntleted punch at its stomach...
Attacking with the gauntlet in melee
Melee attack: 1D20+12 = [17]+12 = 29

29 should hit, it's DC21 to resist.

Ardent (Violet Rayner-Wilson)
Hero Points: 3; Current Condition: Bruised -2 and Dazed until the end of her next turn

OOC: Ardent's toughness checks against attacks: 3#1d20+15 32 18 22

So, success, missed by 6, missed by 2; resulting in Current Condition at the top.

Ardent gives a small 'huff' as the blasts strike her, and spins in the air to see where the attack is coming from, as well as how many parademons are out there. "Get inside!" she shouts to the people she rescued.

Cyber Girl
Dodge: 8, Parry: 8, Tough: 12, Fort: 10, Will: 10, Perception: +14
HP: 2, Condition: Within accepted parameters

Cyber Girl turns so she can verify they are both following her. She take a potshot at the trailing parademon with her only ranged effect - telekinesis.

Move Object, Damaging DC 23 vs Dodge: 1D20+12 = [2]+12 = 14
Hero Point DC 23 vs Dodge: 1D20+12 = [7]+12 = 19 That's a 29.
