Presumably because all the characters were conceived as loners who were brought into to the JL as reservists.

Well, I had lots of things I wanted to buy and equipment didn't seem quite right.

And it's not just because I completely and utterly forgot that comms were a thing ;~)

The Assault team i KNOW has Communicatiors(Impossible has one in his helmet, in fact).

Nothing about that on the sheet. You have Communications on the Impossible Tower, that's it.

The fight against the Shark is outside from where Thunderer and Killer Croc are, right?
Or is it insight, move action range?

Yeah, it's outside, Thunderer is inside. I'd say it'd take one move to get outside since the door is shattered. Two moves to get to King Shark.

I was sure I had bought a commlink- but on checking, nope... I think it was in my draft builds, but didn't make the final write-up.

You would think a big team like the JLA would provide them- if nothing esle, so that Batman can tell you everything you are doing wrong, in real time.

Ranged Attack:10+8=18--that would be a DC 23 Toughness check on King Shark Please. :D

DC 18 sounds a little low, if he's using his Impossible gun it should be DC23 toughness check.
For toughness saves the base is 15 + Your Damage

Amusingly Orphan seems to have the communication ability so she would be able to communicate with any comms within five miles of her.
Sadly nobody else seems to have one ;~)
