Sashura Vlasova
AT : 5
Health : 7/7

Sashura was annoyed when the haunts manifested, but changed her mind when she noticed the Warchmogger turn and head her way.

"These haunts are kind of like a living Shimmer Cape !" she noted, "While that thing is lumbering towards me, everyone else gets a free shot !

Between Lloyd pinning it in place, Moira blasting it, Dog shooting it and Ericka petrifying it (or blowing it up), there may not be much left for me to do.

But that - is sort of the whole point of being a Guardian ! Keep the beasts away from everyone else. The idea isn't to rack up a high kill count, but ensure everyone gets out of here alive.

Seriously - what other Trade would have things like Shimmer Capes and Pheromone Dispensers as standard equipment ? Items
designed to attract attention and attacks towards the Wielder ?"

With that, she smirked and called to Dog and Ericka. "After you !"
Holding her turn until last.

Grigor "Dog" Geddings
AT: 4 (5 - 1Move) Wounds: 5/5

Dog frowns to himself.
He would have swore the creature was closer a moment ago. He gave his flintlock pistol the side eye and cursed as he moved closer. The weapon was powerful, but unless you were point blank the weapon was largely useless. He found himself wishing for something a little longer ranged like his teammate had.
OOC: Burn an AT to move closer.

Ericka Akcire
AT: 3 | W: 5/5
Resistances: 6/2/2/3

Anatomy: 1

Ericka nodded toward Sashura, mind swimming a little too much to get a good read on the creature. She deftly replacing Gemini in it's holster and instead drawing on an aspect of Tectus.

Cunning: 6 successes (Highly unnecessary for a trick but better then failure

The spear in hand, she considers briefly whether to activate it's explosive properties, but decides against that on the likely possibility of it charging forward in just a hot moment. Instead, she through it forward with hopes of petrifying parts of the beast, hindering it further.
Attack
Attack: 1 success
Spoiler
If injured, Petrification goes off with a tier 3 endurance check
Am I dead? Am I alive? The answer may surprise you!

Sashura Vlasova
AT : 5, now 3.
Health 7/7
Salum Juice effect pending ...
(1/2 uses remaining)

Seeing that both Ericka and Dog had acted, Sashura put her plan into action.

First, a swig of Salum Juice, to improve defenses. She had a feeling she might need it.

Then, a charge with her soul-bound lance, planning to end up too far away to be counterattacked immediately (ie, use Reach to end up 2 hexes away)
Charge ! (with Advantage): 9d6 26 [9d6=3, 3, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 2, 2] - 2 successes (4+ count)

Minimal damage, really close to a stomp-happy behemoth. Hopefully the +1 to defense from being on a Fertile area helps ...

Ericka and Sashura's attacks bounce off the deciever's heavily muscle fore-leg as it sweeps it ahead of itself, swapping the weapons aside, using the same arm to take a step towards Sashura's, stepping heavily, causing the ground to tremble as it lifts it's other heavy arm and swings it mightily before it at the intrepid guardian.
It used defend actions, but the resulting damage even before rolling don't penetrate its armor. I tsteps into the front arc tile with a free action and uses it's Sweep I attack on Sashura, then use a Recovery action for it's second action.
Spoiler
6 successes, Impact damage

Sashura Vlasova
ATs : 3
Health: now 4/7
Salum Juice pending, 1/2

She looked up as the creature's huge arm swung at her.

"Yep. All going as I thought it would ... !"
I think this is the first time any single opponent has lived longer than one round.
Defend vs 6 Impact: 7#1d6t5 0 0 0 0 1 0 1
2 successes.
Extra defense die from Fertile field: 1d6t5 0
The die came up a '1'. No extra successes.
Chelydra's shield did its best, but even it had limits.
6 Impact - 2 successes = hit with 4 Impact. Her armor soaks 1, so she's down by 3.

Lady Moira Sterling
Moira AT: 3
Raptage AT: 4 > 2 > 3

Moira Switches her ammo out for the penetrating ammo. Now that she's established a baseline with regular ammunition she can get more accurate measurements of the bullets' penetrating power.

And she steps to get better line-of-sight to the beast.

Raptage, understanding when it might be punching out of his weight class, flies over the Fertile land and settles next to one of the Haunts and rakes with his claws, but misses. Then refocuses.

Grigor "Dog" Geddings
AT: 3 (4 - 1 Attack) Wounds: 5/5

Dog grimaces as he sees the creature take a swing and hit one of his teammates.
Suddenly he was regretting being anywhere near this thing.

"Who's idea was this again?" Dog asks nobody in particular as he braces his left arm on his right and fires his flintlock at the Deceiver.

With a single crack and a big puff of smoke the silver round fired into the bulk of the beast.

With a practiced move he threw the gun up in the air, followed by a bullet and a small packet of gunpowder. A quick flick of the wrist and the three combined through an application of magic only to drop back into his left hand. He smiled until he felt reality ripple slightly and saw a haunt go racing off out of the corner of his eye.

"Dammit."
OOC:
Attack on Deceiver
Pistol Attack on Deceiver.: 5d6x4 2 [5d6x4=2, 4, 3, 3, 4]
Forgot one dice from the weapon bonus so...
Weapon bonus dice missed in first attack: 1d6 4
So three hits, and Penetration.

Swift Reload: 5d6x5 0 [5d6x5=1, 3, 3, 2, 3]
That's a fail, so a haunt should appear.

Wanting a bit more focus, Lloyd recovers his bearing, but steps next to the stompy deceiver

Sashura Vlasova
ATs : 3 -> 2
Health: 4/7
Salum Juice pending, 1/2

Sashura figured it was NOT safe to be where she was standing, but thanks to verdant patches of growth Lloyd's soulbond had conjured, she had a plan.

"Might as well get a poke in before I pull back !" she mused to herself as she readied her weapon.

True, there wasn't enough room to work up much of a charge, but the beast was literally right there !

And Chelydra was still big, heavy, and pointy. Capable of doing some damage even without a running charge.

So she did a straight thrust, aiming as high on the beast's body as she could safely go.
Attack with Chelydra - NOT CHARGING: 9d6t5 4
4 successes. 1 AT used.
She then took a step back - and thanks to those fertile patches she was standing on, ended up back next to her familiar !

... at least, that WAS her plan. Turns out she didn't understand things as well as she thought she did, and so ended up just another step away from the Warchmogger.

(that would be her free action for the round)

The warchmogger shifts its weight away from Dog and Sashura as the two attack it. Dog's shot grazes the deceiver, digging into the thick muscle of its forearms and doing no apparent damage while Sashura's lance likewise glances off the warchmogger's unreasonable dense muscle mass, though she can feel through her weapon that the angle was just ever so slightly off from piecing it's hide.
Spoiler
Both attacks were very close. 2 defense vs Dog with one Armor after Penetrate, and 2 defense vs Sashura as well, but it's Armor eats the rest
After the round of attacks, the warchmogger lumbers forward while it's chest expands from it's massive lungs intaking air, then it sweeps it's massive, hooved forearm forward, its path leading through though Lloyd and Dog if they don't get clear.
It's first action is to Recover. Free action to step and turn so Dog and Lloyd are in it's front arc, and second action is to use it's Sweep attack, which hits all targets in it's frontal arc.
Spoiler
Big hit for 6 Injuries
As you are in the front arc, if you take an injury, he may try to consume you by spending additional AT. it is recommended to try and defend.

Ericka Akcire
AT: 8>4 AT | W: 5/5
Resistances: 6/2/2/3

Action: Charge
Free: Multistrike 1 Success, No haunts
Attacks
Strike 1: 2 Successes
Strike 1-A[Multi]: 2 Successes

Strike 2: 2 Successes
Strike 2-A[Multi]: 3 Successes

Strike 3: 1 Success
Strike 3-A[/multi]: 0 Success

(Serrated: - If weapon causes injury the target must make a Tier 1 Endurance check at the beginning of their next turn or receive an additional injury.)
(Petrification: - A target must pass a Tier 3 Endurance save or become petrified when affected by this Charm. Only human targets can be entirely petrified while Deceivers and Akuma have portions of their body converted to stone, dealing 5 Injuries in the process.)
Ericka, seeing her companions get attacked, suddenly charges into action with both her blades abuzz with latent psionic magicks. A crackle of pink light something surrounds her mid-stride and by the next step there almost seems to be too of her, one slightly out-of-sync with the other. Once she reaches the Deciever both images are aflush with quick strikes against the twisted mockery of life's thickened hide. Her face, as it always is during direct combat, is slightly flush with adrenaline.
Am I dead? Am I alive? The answer may surprise you!

Grigor "Dog" Geddings
AT: 1 = (3 - 2 Parry) Wounds: 5/5

Dog swears, bringing his sword across trying to block the attack.
The sword caught the worst of it, but the impact of such an impressive creature was too much for one arm to truly deflect. With grunt he rolled back, deflecting what was left of the attack off his armor as a glancing blow instead of a bone crushing impact.

Thankful again that he'd spent the extra money on armor he brought his weapons back up, panting and hoping that somebody might pull the attention of this giant monstrosity off him.
OOC: Time to parry.
6 Dice from Agility, no dice from weapon, 1 dice from fertile. With advantage since the shortsword has the parry ability.
Parry Attempt vs giant monster: 7d6 7d6=4, 3, 2, 6, 3, 5, 4
That's four successes, so four damage blocked.
2 Damage will impact the armor, but Dog's armor can take that as long as it's not Energy, so no damage.
Sadly I believe all damage needs to be blocked by the parry attempt for the counter attack to count, but since the extra AT save me getting eaten or hurt I'm good with that ;~)

Lady Moira Sterling
Moira AT: 3>1>2
Raptage AT: 3

Moira fires the Penetrating bullets twice into the creature's exposed flank.
Then takes a breath, blaming haste for the mediocre shots.
