Re: Adventures In Hyboria: OCC thread
I've tried using D&D Beyond but didn't have much luck navigating it and the stuff I kind of found just took me to a "buy THIS book link.
So that kinda turned me off on that.

LOl- "The Tattooed Man"? What kind of ABSOLUTE DILDO would refer to himself as "The Tattooed Man" !?!
Re: Adventures In Hyboria: OCC thread
Mechanically, it sounds like a good idea. Most/all of us are familiar with the system.
On character creation, it might be a bit trickier. At that low PL/PP, can the characters be different enough, in particular for:
saves/ac
spellcasting
other class abilities
skill costs and themes

Not sure how I'd make Abigail in M&M but I could try. I'm unfamiliar with Gloriant, is that a comic series?
Re: Adventures In Hyboria: OCC thread
I believe it's Thorpoclypse's homebrew D&D setting.

Yes it is. He built several NPC main characters for that setting that are straight from D&D 5e and fit in the PL 5/6 area.

Re: Adventures In Hyboria: OCC thread
Funnily enough I made a monk for a Gloriant game. I can try to find that build. It's expensive in M&M to make a damage dealer that doesn't use an equipment-based weapon.

So every spell would be an unlimited cantrip?
Re: Adventures In Hyboria: OCC thread
in M&M what youd do is throw a fatigue complication that the more and higher level spells you cast the more fatigued you are and the longer you need to rest to regain your strength or study or pray to the gods etc

Re: Adventures In Hyboria: OCC thread
That seems... harsh. You have two 'hits' of fatigue before you're out of the fight (fatigued, exhausted, incapacitated) and no way to 'soak' or mitigate it like you do toughness checks save for out of combat time of HP. If spells had Tiring then a person can only cast two spells before they fall unconscious. Or is there another build/design you mean that I'm not seeing?

Unreliable Flaw on an array for <5 uses. (remember the 2nd Ed. ruling that if any part of an array is expended then the entire thing is unusable prevents the cheese of some limited and some not).
Quirk - <11 uses only on an array does the same thing.

T-Man, it seems that we're at the very least accepting of switching despite the difficulties. If we did, how and when would it work?
Am I dead? Am I alive? The answer may surprise you!

Re: Adventures In Hyboria: OCC thread
I'd like to do the change over after we've finished this adventure, which we're about halfway through at this point. Does that answer your question?Doctor Malsyn wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 9:10 pm T-Man, it seems that we're at the very least accepting of switching despite the difficulties.
