Complications
- Bane: Galatea is vulnerable to magic as anyone else. As such, her Toughness is not Impervious against magical attacks.
- Limited Lifespan: Cadmus made it impossible for Galatea to benefit from the standard immortality of her fellow Kryptonians and Argoans, which means that she will only live for about as long as a typical human being.
- Motivation: Responsibility: Galatea's sole reason for existing is to act as a counterbalance in the event that Supergirl or Superman ever decide to go rogue.
- Overconfident: Galatea is known for charging into battle without taking the time to assess whether or not she's biting off more than she can chew.
- Power Loss: Galatea will lose her strength and powers while under a red sun, like that of the planet Argo, and other effects which drain or interfere with the energies of the yellow sun can deprive her of those same powers. Attacks using Red Sun Radiation ignore the Impervious modifier on her Toughness.
- Rivalry: Galatea is in an eternal rivalry with her genetic template, the Argoan commonly known as Supergirl!
- Weakness: The radiation of Green Kryptonite will sap Galatea's powers, leaving her impaired, disabled, and eventually debilitated. Long-term exposure (usually only a matter of minutes, less for a large enough quantities) imposes the dying condition and may lead to death.
