Lux in Tenebris Lucet Brainstorm & Notes

Lux in Tenebris Lucet
Premise: Fate wasn’t quite done with Harry Potter after his defeat of the Dark Lord known as Voldemort; no, that was just the beginning of an even grander journey. For you see, Harry was to become the new King of Irkalla, or as it is sometimes also known, the Underworld.
Required Inclusions:
- Harry must quickly discover that he is becoming the new incarnation of the Mesopotamian deity known as Nergal, the King Jure Uxoris of Irkalla.
- The actual romantic pairings for Harry are negotiable, however it is recommended that at least one of Nergal’s original wives (Ereshkigal and Allatu) be involved in the pairing.
- The precise moment at which Harry awakens to his new destiny is up to the author, however it must take place after Harry has already won his war with Voldemort.
- Harry must have his work cut out for him in reforming Nergal’s image, since the deity’s traditional domains are the destructive aspects of the sun, plague, famine and war.
- Harry must be very careful in how he goes about answering supplications, since those who do ask for his intercession may not be the sort of people who he’d ordinarily approve of.
- Harry must use his divine power to smite at least one enemy during the course of this story, although it is up to the author to decide who this enemy is and what they did to provoke Harry.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry should form an alliance with the Grigori Faction, since his connection to the sun would help them to establish a more permanent foothold within the Underworld.
- The previous incarnation of Nergal should have left behind some manner of instruction manual for Harry that helps him to learn how to use his divine powers.
- What Harry lacks in terms of sheer power in relation to Sirzechs, Ajuka and Rizevim, he should be able to make up for in terms of ingenuity and deviousness.
Optional Inclusions:
- For all that he is now a god, Harry could still desire a more or less normal life, even if he’d have an easier time finding the Everdistant Utopia than fulfilling his dream.
- Harry could be the one who ultimately deals with Shalba Beelzebub, instead of Hyōdō Issei.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry’s inheritance of Nergal’s spirit must not be linked to the Hallows.
- Harry resurrecting the recently dead all willy-nilly.
- Harry abandoning his demigod children.
- Harry the Malevolent Emo Doormat.

Complications
- Demeaning Perception: Allatu is as much a goddess of love as she is a death goddess, and thus knows perfectly well how to use her body to her advantage. Unfortunately, this tends to cause a whole lot of problems for her with those women who want to ensure their husbands never stray.
- Motivation: Responsibility: Allatu is both the Queen Regnant and Chief Judge for the section of the Underworld commonly known as Purgatory (aka Irkalla) and is therefore responsible for ensuring that her kingdom runs as smoothly as it possibly can.
- Secret: Allatu is simultaneously the wife of the original Nergal, and also his daughter. She has absolutely no idea whether Harry has figured the second part out and is just ignoring it, or if he's actually oblivious to the reality of their relationship.
- Weakness: Allatu is Toughness Impaired when in any location other than Irkalla.

Complications
- Demeaning Perception: Penemue is fully aware of just how attractive she is, and regularly uses that knowledge to her advantage. Sadly, this comes at the expense of her reputation, as people are far less likely to take her seriously when she is such a blatant tease.
- Motivation: Gluttony: Penemue was exiled from Heaven after reading an incredibly compelling theological dissertation written by Samael that convinced her to teach mankind how to read and write. This has also shaped her personality to one extent or another, causing her to become rather voracious for the written word, especially when dealing with books she's never read before!

Complications
- Addiction: Rose is a recovering alcoholic, which naturally means that she will occasionally trigger her Bane complication simply because it 'feels good' to do so.
- Bane: Rose is Fortitude Disabled when attempting to resist the effects of alcoholic beverages, and will never be capable of benefitting from the effects of an immunity to Poisons in regards to those same liquids. Two glasses of these drinks will also cause her to become extremely lustful and far more seductive than she would otherwise present herself as.
- Enemy: Euclid Lucifuge wishes to use Rose's knowledge to aid in his attempts to release 666 (Trihexa), even if that means killing the girl or her friends and loved ones in the process of reaching his goals.
- Motivation: Recognition: Rose wishes to be recognized as a valuable member of the Valkyrior, rather than being ridiculed for her inability to secure a boyfriend, the latter of which is what spawned her byname, Verehrerfluch (which basically means 'Boyfriend Bane').
- Quirk: Rose will usually use a Keigo accent when speaking in Japanese, but has been known to slip into a rural accent whenever she's flustered or embarrassed. She also prefers to shop at 100-yen shops whenever possible.
- Temper: Destroying Rose's clothes is the quickest way to set this girl into a berserker fury. Bringing up her difficulties with boys will also tick her off quite a lot too.

Livin' On a Prayer Brainstorm & Notes

Livin’ On a Prayer
Premise: The night Harry Potter became an orphan was also the night he vanished before anyone could find him. His crib was empty and his belongings were simply gone. Young Harry would not be seen again by the denizens of Wizarding Britain for several years, and by that point, he could no longer be called a Wizard.
Required Inclusions:
- As a baby, young Harry Potter must be whisked away from Godric’s Hollow before anyone from Wizarding Britain could arrive to rescue him on the night his parents died.
- Harry’s actual savior must be the Ten Seraph known as Sariel, who is also his godmother; with Sariel deciding to place Harry into a church sponsored foster home located in Sicily or Rome.
- Harry’s survival of the Killing Curse must be due to a combination of his mother’s sacrifice and Sariel’s intervention, with the presence of that much holy energy also destroying the Horcrux.
- Harry’s childhood must include the training necessary to become a Church sponsored Exorcist, with Harry running at least a few missions prior to returning to England.
- Furthermore, Harry must be the wielder of a Sacred Gear known as Elijah’s Rain, which is a fire-based Sacred Gear that trades in the versatility of Flameshake for greater offensive power.
- Harry must be exempt from the usual chastity vows of the clergy, either due to his standing in magical society, or else due to being part of a denomination that allows the clergy to marry.
Preferred Inclusions:
- If Harry receives an education in wizarding magic, then it should occur at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, rather than at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry.
- Harry should refrain from going after Voldemort and his followers until after he gains a fearsome reputation as a Church Exorcist.
- Harry should be involved in a romance with one or more of the following: Gabriel Hornblower, Fleur Delacour, Shidou Irina and/or Asia Argento.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry’s Sacred Gear could take the form of a magical staff that can also double as a wizarding wand for purposes of using any magic he learns at Beauxbatons.

The Queen and I
Premise: Isabel Carmilla had been on the lookout for an Ace in the hole for her feud with the Tepes Faction. It had gotten to the point where she would soon be forced to send an emissary to the Three Factions begging for their assistance, but all of that changed one day when she stumbled on a diamond in the rough: Harry Potter!
Required Inclusions:
- Harry must have become something more than a simple wizard after being exposed to the venom of a basilisk and tears of a phoenix during his second year at Hogwarts.
- Being a Modified Human must amplify his life expectancy and powers to the point where they rival the more powerful denizens of the supernatural world.
- The timeline for this story must begin a few years after Harry successfully vanquishes the Dark Lord known as Voldemort, which could have occurred at any point in the DxD timeline.
- Harry must have become an Independent Curse Breaker after finishing his Hogwarts education instead of joining the Auror Force. His services must also be highly sought-after.
- Isabel should make contact with Harry after her Gringotts Vault Manager suggests the young man might be able to solve her ongoing crisis.
- Isabel must officially hire Harry after she fails to turn him into a thrall using her Mystic Eyes of Enchantment, but not without explaining why she just tried to dominate his will.
- Harry’s main romantic partner for this story must be Isabel herself, and anyone else who wishes to engage Harry in a romantic relationship must get Isabel’s approval first.

- Harry should have access to Frost Thorn, an Ice Element Sacred Gear that allows him to spontaneously generate icicles which he can use as projectile weapons.

- Fame: Harry is just as famous in magical society for his part in vanquishing the most recent Dark Lord as he is for his career as an Independent Curse Breaker. In both cases, people flock to him whenever he shows his face within one of the world's many magical districts in hopes that he can sign an autograph or destroy some minor dark relic for them.
- Honor: Harry will always keep his word of honor, strives to uphold the common good, and is never underhanded in his dealings.
- Motivation: Protector: Harry is highly motivated to use his powers to protect others. He willingly puts himself at risk to defend innocents and those he cares about.

Wake Me Up Brainstorm & Notes

Wake Me Up
Premise: While punching Michael in the face for his idiotic decision to close Heaven’s borders was quite satisfying, Raphael wound up paying a heavy price for defying his older brother in public. Forced to live as a mortal, his life as Harry Potter ended up being quite interesting... in the cursed sense of the term.
Required Inclusions:
- Harry Potter must actually be the Throne of Heaven known as Raphael, the Seraph Who Heals, having been forced to live a mortal life after punching Michael during a meeting.
- Harry, as Raphael, must have disagreed with Michael’s decision to have Heaven withdraw from the other realms, as it would mean that their supporters on Earth were cut off.
- Harry must eventually regain his Seraphic powers, allowing him to return to Heaven, since Michael eventually realized his younger brother was entirely correct.
- However, instead of returning to Heaven, Harry as Raphael, must remind the supernatural denizens of Earth that Heaven still exists and that they are still quite powerful.
- To this end, Harry must travel to the community known as Kuoh Town and manipulate the events taking place in that town so that they are more favorable to Heaven.
- The author is free to pair Harry with whomever they desire, since the process of incarnating an angel as a human will alter their existence in a way that allows them to form bonds of intimacy.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry should put in a considerable amount of time training himself so that he can close the gap in power between his own angelic powers and those of his elder brother, Michael.
- One of the things that Harry should do while in Kuoh is to rescue Asia Argento from Raynare’s plot, effectively preventing her from becoming a member of Rias Gremory’s peerage.
- Another thing that could prove entertaining, is for Harry to be the one who rescues Rias from Riser Phenex, which could in turn lead to the two becoming engaged to one another.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry’s Brave Saint deck could replace Diethelm Waldseemüller with Asia Argento, since their respective Sacred Gears are fundamentally identical.
- Harry could remind Azazel why it is a bad idea to make perverted comments about Gabriel.

Prince of Heaven Brainstorm & Notes

Prince of Heaven
Premise: The relationship between humanity and the gods has always been complex and fraught with conflicts; but some families had always been favored over others. For example, the House of Potter was quite close to one particular goddess, and this is the story of her son with James Potter.
Required Inclusions:
- Ishtar, the Sumerian goddess of lust, war, justice and political power must bestow the House of Potter with her patronage no later than just after the war with Gellert Grindelwald.
- Ishtar must have been on the verge of ‘falling asleep’ and fading from existence when the Potter family’s votive offerings give her a new chance at life.
- One day, after finding James and Lily to her liking, Ishtar must possess the latter, and consummate her bond with House Potter, which leads to the birth of a demigod, Harry Potter.
- Unfortunately, Ishtar will be unable to save the lives of James and Lily Potter, but it is due to her direct intervention that Harry’s life is saved and Voldemort is disembodied.
- Should Harry attend Hogwarts, then it will act as a signal to the various pantheons that their presence is once again welcome at the school and could lead to other Demigod students.
- Harry must be capable of altering his eye color at will, since the naturally red color of his eyes could lead to all sorts of social problems.
- Ishtar must be unable to raise Harry for herself, probably for similar reasons as those which prevent Sirzechs from raising Millicas, but that doesn’t mean she’ll flat out ignore him.
- Harry must still be the one who is destined to vanquish Voldemort, but that doesn’t mean he is forbidden from seeking out the training necessary to ensure his survival.
- Harry’s divine powers must include watered down versions of several of his mother’s domains, as well as the ability to fly without the help of a broom.
- The author is allowed to pair Harry with whomever they want, provided that at least one of those girls is Gabriel Hornblower, Shidō Irina or Rossweisse.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry should possess a Holy Sword that can also be used as a magical focus, allowing him to simultaneously engage his enemies in melee and cast spells.
- Harry should be taken in by Griselda Quarta after flying all the way to Italy and getting stuck there due to having no idea where he now is, or how to find his way back to England.
- Ishtar should eventually bring Harry to Heaven so that she can introduce her son to all of his brothers and sisters, the Angels of the Heavenly Host.
- The Accidental Magic Reversal Squad and Obliviators should have their work cut out for them, since deities and other major supernatural entities tend not to care for the Statute of Secrecy.
Optional Inclusions:
- Ishtar could teach Harry all about how to please a woman by using her own body as an instruction manual. Whether this is a permanent situation or not is up to the author.
- Several High-class Devils could attempt to convince Harry to join their Peerages, since a Mesopotamian Demigod is quite the novelty these days.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry being the vessel for a Longinus.
- Harry engaging a male in a romance.
- Ishtar allowing the Scarcrux to fester.
- Harry the Malevolent Emo Doormat.
- Wizardry being able to seal divinity.

Divine Revitalization is a variable ranked Healing ritual with the "Resurrection" extra and "Limited: Affects Deities & Demigods only" flaws. I say it is variable ranked, because different deities and demigods will have it at different ranks. In Harry's case, it is currently set to Rank 5, meaning that he can resurrect a deity who died up to 5 minutes ago, provided he succeeds on his Healing check.

- Motivation: Thrills: Irina is a highly exuberant and fun loving individual, who would like nothing better than to enjoy a night on the town with her friends. Sadly, her career as a Church Exorcist often gets in the way of her doing just that.
- Obnoxious: Irina likes to pray. She likes to pray a whole heck of a lot, and she likes to pray aloud. This can and will cause headaches for any Devils who happen to overhear her praying, and can therefore be considered quite irritating. It can get downright traumatizing for any devils listening to her if she decides to ask for a blessing to be bestowed upon them.
- Reputation: Irina's childhood friend, Hyōdō Issei, has allowed himself to believe she's a boy.
- Significant Others: Irina is the best friend of both Harry Potter and his foster sister, Xenovia Quarta.
- Trait of Consequence: Irina is utterly terrible at detecting deception, and is considered to be Disabled on her Insight checks made to Evaluate whether someone is trustworthy or not, as well as those made to Resist Influence from Interaction skills. Lovers On the Sun Brainstorm & Notes

Lovers On the Sun
Premise: Apollon, the Greek god of the Sun and Music, was bored to death; his solution? Go on vacation as a mortal. He should have known that the Fates wouldn't let him go without paying the price for such hubris. But at least the entire world was now his oyster. Ladies beware, for this is one powerful and persistent skirt chaser.
Required Inclusions:
- Apollon must have become so bored with the current status quo that he knowingly defied a noninterference decree created by the Fates so that he could incarnate himself as a mortal.
- As punishment for his hubris, the Fates must give Apollon the body and destiny of young Harry James Potter, forcing Apollo to remain in that role in spite of his attempts to liberate himself.
- Since this punishment was administered by the Fates instead of Zeus, Harry will retain most, though not all, of Apollon’s divine powers, bringing him to the level of an Ultimate-class Being.
- While Harry’s natural temperament will tone down Apollon’s excesses, it will not invalidate them, meaning that he will be nowhere near as clueless about the fairer gender as in canon.
- While Harry/Apollon will be a skirt chaser, he must avoid sinking to the level of Kuoh Academy’s infamous Perverted Trio.
- The more Harry/Apollon uses his Second Sight to look into his own future, the less reliable those visions will be, as he will have already seen what is to come and altered it accordingly.
- At least one of the following women must be paired with Harry: Rias Gremory, Serafall Leviathan, Rossweisse, Daphne Greengrass, Fleur Delacour, and/or Susan Bones.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry/Apollon’s divine radiance should be less than effective against Voldemort, but the same would hardly be true for his followers and Horcruxes.
- Harry/Apollon should introduce the Weasley Twins to his younger brother, Hermes, in order to help them get better at their mischief-making.
- Harry/Apollon should get great enjoyment out of riling up the Perverted Trio, and shouting out the word “Olé” whenever they charge him, while simultaneously dodging their attack.
- The Dursley family should earn the ire of the Greek goddess of Magic, Hekate, after uttering one too many slurs against her domain, causing the goddess to inflict a Divine Punishment.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry/Apollon could protect the virtue of a drunk female acquaintance by bringing her home, or else to his own domicile to recover. Bonus points if this acquaintance is Rossweisse.
- Ophis could undo the Fates’ punishment in an effort to recruit Harry to her cause, earning their animosity in the process.
Forbidden Things:
- Wizarding magic being able to seal away Divine Power, even with the Elder Wand.
- Harry/Apollon submissively obeying Headmaster Dumbledore.
- Harry/Apollon being reliant upon a wand for his magic.
- Harry/Apollon failing to travel to Kuoh Town.
