Way Beyond Myself v2 Brainstorm & Notes

Way Beyond Myself
Premise: After being expelled from Hogwarts due to losing his trial for underage magic, Harry Potter is given an offer he simply couldn't refuse. This new path that he walks will see his life becoming far more interesting, and the benefits will outweigh any detriments that could come his way. Harry will gain a family and the love of many godly women.
Required Inclusions:
- Harry Potter must lose his trial for underage sorcery, which results in him being expelled from Hogwarts with his wand being snapped for good measure.
- The Vatican, or more likely the Anglican Church, must have ways of monitoring affairs in Wizarding Britain and send someone to Harry in order to make an offer our hero can’t refuse.
- The offer must include the training that Harry will need in order to become a Church Exorcist, but since he came into this life later than his comrades, the training will be far more intense.
- Harry must defy all expectations and truly thrive under the pressure that is his exorcist training, with his abilities progressing by leaps and bounds in a relatively short period of time.
- Harry must form a close friendship with Irina Shidou and Xenovia Quarta, with the three young Exorcists experimenting with one another in spite of any vows they might have taken.
- The Biblical God must have given the Archangel Michael one final miracle that will allow the Angel to choose a successor for his Father only a few days before the Great War’s last battle.
- Michael and the other Great Seraphim must feel unworthy of replacing their father due to their belief that they let their father down during that final confrontation.
- This means that the Great Seraphim will try to find someone else who can succeed their father, and as fate would have it, they have decided to elevate Harry to that lofty position.
- Harry must remain a human until after the Peace Summit so that the Great Seraph can explain their plan to the other leaders of the Three Factions, rather than surprising them after the fact.
- Harry’s relationship with Lady Gabriel should begin as one between a student and their teacher, before eventually evolving into a romantic relationship.
- Harry is permitted to have other women in his romantic life provided that they gain Gabriel’s blessing before joining what will be dubbed “The Heavenly Harem.”
Preferred Inclusions:
- Griselda Quarta should take Harry to a wandmaker who is loyal to the Church in order to have a custom wand crafted for our young hero.
- Harry should be the wielder of a Sacred Gear that will be referred to as Elijah’s Rain, and he should also use it to bombard one of Voldemort’s hideouts with Holy Fire.
- One of the angels who regularly interacts with the Church Exorcists should decide to purify the Horcrux in Harry’s scar, effectively destroying the soul fragment without hurting Harry.
- Once Harry is the new God, he should *help* things along in order to get Sirius the trial he has long since been denied, allowing the boy’s dogfather to finally be freed from his years in exile.
- Instead of specializing in sword combat, Harry should be far more effective when using a staff as his weapon of choice, and could whack Irina & Xenovia on the head when they misbehave.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry could be sent to Kuoh Town alongside Irina & Xenovia during the Excalibur Retrieval mission, and impress the two Devil Heiresses with how polite he is.
- Once Harry becomes the new God, he and Michael could get into an argument over Harry’s tendency to skip down to Earth without telling anyone where he is going or why he has left.
- Harry could call back the soul of Slytherin’s Basilisk and place it into a new Sacred Gear.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry and his guardians going along with Dumbledore’s plans.
- Harry failing to improve the Holy System once he is in charge.
- Harry engaging in a romantic relationship with another male.
- Harry being the vessel for either of the Heavenly Dragons.
- Harry acquiring the same biases as his Exorcist trainers.
- Harry and Gabriel, the Malevolent Emo Doormats.

Can't Stop Me Now Brainstorm & Notes

Can’t Stop Me Now
Premise: Harry Potter simply had enough. There were no real changes in how the Ministry for Magic was running Magical Britain, even with the right people in charge. The same corruption was festering, only with new players. After a few years as the top Auror, he gave his two weeks notice and left for the island of Japan. Kuoh Town certainly seemed promising.
Required Inclusions:
- Harry Potter must resign from his job as an Auror after becoming fed up with the seemingly unending corruption in the British Ministry for Magic.
- It was only due to his friends, and the oddity that is Draco Malfoy, that Harry halted his plans to burn Magical Britain to the ground and start over on the ashes of the old regime.
- While there were some honest people who were trying to make a difference, the fact remains that their efforts were being stymied by those who didn’t want anything to change.
- Contrary to expectations, Harry’s temperamental nature didn’t go away as he got older, he merely learned how to better focus his impulses so he didn’t make a fool of himself.
- Harry must discover the truth about his mother, and therefore himself, that she was the goddess Morrigan in disguise as a mortal, and that he is actually a demigod.
- Harry must inherit his mother’s raven-like wings, dreadful aura, skill with weapons and ability to travel the world without leaving a trail.
- The Morrigan must be on her best behavior should she ever visit her son in Japan, since the Amatsukami are still quite active and could take offense if she kills any of their followers.
- Harry must enter into conflict with the Hero Faction of the Khaos Brigade due to his dark nature and status as a hybrid entity.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry should be mistaken for a Fallen Angel by the Gremory and/or Sitri Peerage when they first encounter him, which could lead to a rather awkward first impression for the heiresses.
- Harry should have official credentials as a retired Muggle police inspector and should also retain his credentials as a retired Auror, allowing him to open a Private Investigations Office.
- Harry should be highly proficient in silent spellcasting, and should also be proficient in wandless spellcasting due to his status as a Demigod.
- The Morrigan should have only just recovered from a long term bout of amnesia, which is why she never came looking for Harry prior to the Battle of Hogwarts.
Optional Inclusions:
- The Morrigan could enjoy embarrassing Harry by acting like an overly affectionate mother whenever she comes to visit him, and by asking very awkward questions of him and his ladies.
- A missing person’s case could lead Harry to his first encounter with a Stray Devil, which would then lead to a meeting with one of the Kuoh Devil Heiresses who arrive just after Harry’s victory.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry being the vessel for either Heavenly Dragon.
- Harry being convinced to give up on his powers.
- Harry engaging in a romance with a male.
- Harry refusing to kill irredeemable foes.
- Harry the Malevolent Emo Doormat.
- This story becoming a Cop Drama.

- Bi the Way: Amaterasu is just as interested in Serafall and Gabriel as she is in Harry, much to the angel's embarrassment and devil's joy. It's worth noting that Amaterasu was historically lured out of a cave by a striptease performance put on by her fellow goddess, Ame-no-Uzume.
- Guy Magnet: Amaterasu is often heralded as the world's most beautiful goddess. It's little wonder that young men tend to fall all over themselves whenever she's walking around in the world of mortals.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Amaterasu is one of the few Shinto deities who exemplifies the concept of "Big Good", and as such it goes without saying that she tries to do good things wherever she goes.
- Mournful Goddess: Amaterasu is regularly depicted as a white wolf, and white used to be the color that was worn at funerals or during mourning periods in Japan. This might help to explain why Amaterasu is so interested in young Harry Potter.

Complications
- Cordon Bleugh Chef: Sona is known for using absurdly ridiculous flavors when baking cakes, and will usually end up with a result that looks incredibly sumptious, but which actually tastes rather frightful. As such, her sister Serafall is the only person who willingly eats Sona's confectionary delights.
- Creature of Darkness: Sona suffers an additional degree of effect from Radiant or Luminous powers and the damage from such abilities is considered to be Incurable against her. Furthermore, she becomes Dazed and Vulnerable when exposed to verbalized prayers or scripture dedicated to the God from the Bible.
- Curse Sworn: Sona has enacted a magically binding contract with her parents that will force her to become betrothed to the first male to beat her at a game of Chess... as in actual Chess and not the version using Evil Pieces in a Rating Game.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Sona's entire reason for attending a mundane school is to learn how they go about teaching teenagers important subjects so that she can include such things in the curriculum of the school she wants to build for Low-Class Devils.
- Relationships: As the Student Council President, Sona tends to act as a neutral third party when the Occult Research Club is involved in negotiations with a potentially hostile diplomatic envoy. She is also the younger sister (by a few hundred years) to Serafall Leviathan, and is protective enough of her sister that it will be Sona who will ultimately give Harry a 'shovel speech.'

Premise: Harry really should have known that his life after the war with Voldemort would be just as complicated and riddled with conflict as it was before, it’s just that he never imagined that the Vatican actually had ‘assassins’ in their employ, or that they would decide to send them after the Savior of Magical Britain!
Required Inclusions:
- Harry’s publicity in the aftermath of Voldemort’s defeat must be so great that he actually receives a commendation from the Queen for services rendered to the Crown.
- One result of the above requirement is that he will be targeted by the Vatican’s exorcists due to the fact that his Maternal Grandfather was an Exorcist who went rogue after stealing Joyeuse.
- Harry must begin looking into his family history after defeating the first of these exorcists with little to no effort, since the exorcist in question was rather candid regarding his/her mission.
- Harry must begin a career as a Freelance Breaker after locating Joyeuse and a wide array of Exorcist Weapons in a remote cabin that once belonged to his Grandfather.
- One of Harry’s first clients must be Azazel of the Grigori, who asks Harry to look into the loss of communication between his organization and the four Fallen Angels he sent to Kuoh Town.
- Harry’s knowledge of magic and experience in battle must make him capable of fighting on equal footing with the entirety of Rias Gremory’s peerage.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Joyeuse should possess the ability to amplify both magical and holy energy, allowing it to radiate blinding light that increases it’s cutting power to the point that it could cleave a mountain.
- Harry’s initial mission from Azazel should end with him managing to save Kalawarner’s life, even if he is unable to save the lives of any of her comrades.
- Every couple of chapters (i.e., between Story Arcs) should involve an interlude which describes one of Harry’s missions in a random part of the world.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry and the Fallen Angel known as Kalawarner could become allies of a Devil (the author is free to choose which one) in order to fight a particularly powerful magical beast.
- Harry could end up with his own personal harem, which would likely include Kalawarner.
Forbidden Things:

Love Don’t Roam
Premise: Harry Potter makes a life changing discovery while digging through the remains of a long forgotten temple. This discovery will have far reaching consequences, not just for Harry, but also for the wider supernatural community. «Godly-Jumper!Harry»
Required Inclusions:
- After the Second Wizarding Blood War, Harry Potter chose to become a Curse Breaker, rather than following his pre-Graduation plans to become an Auror.
- Harry’s new career must be an incredibly good fit for the young wizard, as he will be afflicted with a severe case of wanderlust due to having been confined for most of his life.
- During a dig in a previously unexplored temple, Harry must recover an artefact that manages to bypass all of his Protective Enchantments, initiating a magical process known as Apotheosis.
- Due to his transformation, Harry must enter the early stages of Divine Ascendance, meaning that he will become a Godling, instead of remaining a rather powerful Wizard.
- Of course, Harry’s ascendance must kick over the proverbial ant’s nest by making every powerful supernatural entity in the world aware of a new player’s existence.
- One of the first powers Harry develops as a result of his ascendance must be the ability to Teleport to any location at will, and this teleportation must be able to bypass Anti-Travel Magic.
- Harry’s primary romantic pairing must be none other than Gabriel Hornblower, although he is allowed to have additional romantic partners if they can gain Gabriel’s blessing.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry’s teleportation power should occasionally activate on it’s own, sending Harry to places he needs to be, rather than to places he wants to be.
- Gabriel should be the first person from the wider supernatural world to contact Harry, and the two should engage in a whirlwind romance that ends with a properly consummated marriage.
- The power contained within the aforementioned artefact should be the last vestiges of the Biblical God’s divine spark; however, Harry likely won’t have his full Divine Power right away.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry should hire Rossweisse as his Personal Assistant and Bodyguard after seeing how little regard Odin has for her personal well-being. Bonus points if she joins his harem.
- The Founder of the House of Black could be a former wielder of a Vritra-type Sacred Gear.

Wind Waker
Premise: Harry Potter’s life had always been cursed with interesting adventures. He had hoped that after defeating Voldemort things would calm down, but it seemed that he was in store for another big surprise. The Land of the Rising Sun was calling, and it would not be denied!
Required Inclusions:
- Harry Potter must actually be the most recent Bunrei of the Shinto Dragon God of Wind, Fūjin; who is not the demonic entity that mythological accounts portray him as.
- Shinto Dragon Gods must possess approximately the same amount of power as the Five Dragon Kings, even if they aren’t officially recognized as Dragon Kings themselves.
- Fūjin created the Bunrei known as Harry Potter in order to use his lifetime as a form of vacation, intending to escape from the monotony of immortality for a few decades.
- At some point after the conclusion of the Second War with Voldemort, Harry must receive an urgent Divine Summons drawing him back to Japan.
- No matter what Harry tries, it must be impossible for him to resist Fūjin’s convocation, as the slightest delay makes him uncomfortable at best and gives him excruciating pain at worst.
- Shortly after arriving in Japan, Harry must be whisked off to Fūjin’s palace where he will be granted an immediate audience with the Dragon God himself.
- At the end of that audience, Harry’s existence must merge with Fūjin’s, and our young hero must quickly discover that he has been given the metaphorical driver’s seat.
- Harry’s ability to conceal his divine presence from others must be rather hit or miss for several weeks after his reunion with Fūjin due to his lack of familiarity with the Dragon God’s powers.
- Harry must find himself being drawn into a rivalry with the Hero Faction of the Khaos Brigade, since he effectively abandoned his “humanity” in order to become a Dragon God.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Becoming the new incarnation of the Wind Dragon God should have done Harry a world of good, as it will teach him to be more carefree and how to let go of his mortal responsibilities.
- As the new Fūjin, Harry should express an intense amount of interest in the two Devil heiresses who’ve taken up residence in Kuoh Town, visiting regularly to satisfy his curiosity.
- Ryūjin, the Shinto Dragon God of the Sea, should be an incredibly beautiful woman who is also one of Harry’s prospective love interests.
- Harry should enter the fight against Kokabiel once the Fallen decides to stop pulling his punches, and could even manage to kill the Cadre before Vali reaches the battlefield.
Optional Inclusions:
- Akeno’s shrine could be dedicated to Fūjin, with Harry using it as a refuge after successfully pranking one or more powerful women to the point that they want to tan his hide.
- Harry could completely ignore all sense of decorum by ‘abducting’ Amaterasu and taking the bemused goddess out for a day of rest and relaxation in the human world.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry failing to be part of the lives of his future children.
- Harry engaging in a romantic relationship with a male.
- Harry being born as the vessel for a Sacred Gear.
- Harry being convinced to shed his divine mantle.
- Harry the Malevolent Emo Doormat.
