Re: Avatar Legends: Ash & Steel [OOC thread]
Kinda of a tricky situation because Bo can't have you guys just wandering. Puts you guys in danger, puts his butt on the line. Honestly, causing a bigger scene and drawing more attention with this course of action. xD

Re: Avatar Legends: Ash and Steel [Roleplay thread]
Bo frowns and grabs Li, pulling him along after the others. Li can catch a quick glimpse that this has caught Ben Ta's attention, but is pulled out of view before he can see if she takes any action. After catching up to Yin, Minnow and 'Mei', Bo pulls up in front to block their forward progress &quo...

Re: Avatar Legends: Ash and Steel [Roleplay thread]
Bo stops when Minnow mentions bathrooms and starts to peel off, disregarding li for the moment. "Wait, Minnow. What are you talking about? Don't wander off, remember what I told you?"

Re: Avatar Legends: Ash and Steel [Roleplay thread]
Bo leads the four from Taph's office and starts heading towards the barracks area to get the group set up for some rest. On the way though, the group catches notice of someone familiar. Several someones actually. It's Ben Ta and the Armadillo Bears and their path is clearly going to intercept your o...

Re: Avatar Legends: Ash & Steel [OOC thread]
Don't read too much into the Onomu being a bad actress thing. It's just there for comedy value.
I was thinking of having you roll a Plead, but nah. I think overall, Minnow hit the right notes to disarm the situation, at least enough.

Re: Avatar Legends: Ash and Steel [Roleplay thread]
Taph's gaze shifts over to Minnow as she speak. Credit to Onomu's nerves, throughout the exchange she has largely kept her head lightly bowed, not acting as though she is looking anything and turning more the side of her head towards the speaking/ When Mei mentions 'Mei' having previously been as fi...

Re: Avatar Legends: Ash & Steel [OOC thread]
Just remember, Avatar wasn't a "serious all the time" type of show. Levity can be disarming.

Was that a Breaking Bad reference with an Avatar coat of paint?Doctor Malsyn wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 12:45 am I feel like it would be a bad idea, yet half of me wants to have Li say "Alright, you've got me. I'm a firebender."
Perhaps not the right time for defective jokes.

Re: Avatar Legends: Ash & Steel [OOC thread]
This might be an instance where it is better served to explain the intent outright. What is it you want to accomplish in this moment with Taph?

Re: Avatar Legends: Ash & Steel [OOC thread]
I think you may just be overthinking the situation for a "win condition" of sorts maybe? That's how it seems to me anyways.
There's no specific right thing to do exactly. I'm only pointing out Yin is overplaying a hand that she should be able to tell Taph can see through.

Re: Avatar Legends: Ash & Steel [OOC thread]
Not sure I see the truth in Yin's statement considering it's founded upon a falsehood. And just so it's clear, Taph can all but tell you're hiding something, just not what exactly. She sees through the theatrics, so doubling down on them isn't going to be much help.

Re: Avatar Legends: Ash and Steel [Roleplay thread]
Taph looks at Yin levelly, a nearly missed glint in her eye. "Were it just the three of you.." she notes to Yin, Minnow and Li "...I might agree, but what of your fourth?" She turns her gaze towards Onomu with an uncomfortable level of discernment. A paranoid person might think s...

Re: Avatar Legends: Ash & Steel [OOC thread]
LoL. I mean, neither of you are wrong.... but you're in no way railroaded here. You have agency to make changes to your plans. I'm happy to let you guys make the choice to react to what's ahead of you in whatever way feels most appropriate. I know where the finish line is and as long as you guys are...

Re: Avatar Legends: Ash & Steel [OOC thread]
Lao Shan was a stop on the way, largely to get supplies for the last leg of the journey. It's the biggest community in that area. Smaller villages are a bit less likely to have enough supplies for the rest of the trip. Especially with fire nation infesting the area and likely hogging all the supplie...

Re: Avatar Legends: Ash and Steel [Roleplay thread]
"Hard to say exactly. A few months at most. It was a sneaky invasion. They didn't take over the town itself at first, but the mines. Lao Shan is a mining community, so by cutting them off from the mines, they cut them off from their livelihoods and forced the people into submission that way be...
