Need to catch my breath... still trying to from yesterday.

By my math, I somehow managed to cram at least 3 days worth of work into 1. I still don't know how.

That's both impressive and frightening .

I'm always wondering just what the various entertainment industries are like in the post-merge world. Does it even still have genres, are some things outlawed due to privacy issues? Must be one huge clusterbomb.

American McGee's Alice is a seriously twisted, dark game. Both of them are actually. I hope to keep to the spirit of that Alice in the main.

It probably is. But people still need things to read, watch and dream about, even in the new world they find themselves in. I mean heck, even in the fictional worlds, they have their own versions of shows and books and whatnot.

From the setting doc:
Coping with the Merge – Copyright Law

Copyright law is a minefield these days. Since the widely-accepted opinion is that " creators" created works based on " bleed-over" from other universes and " merely" fashioned their visions into coherent storylines, it's hard to pin down who owns what. Many X-Dees refuse to see themselves and their life stories as being 'owned' by anyone.

Now, if this theory is correct or if the prevalence of certain ideas merely drew other, fitting, universes to ours...that's something not even the gods could answer.

In some cases, there has been backlash against authors, especially in the horror, post-apocalyptic and dark fantasy genres, as people accuse them of making money out of real peoples' misery ( G.R.R. Martin, for example, has now officially scrapped the Game of Thrones books since he's fed up with it all)....
Sort of answers your question... clusterbomb indeed.

The version of Supergirl encountering the group now is my Merge version, which is a whole other kettle of fish...

You know, I've actually had an itching since I learned about the Merge universe for a character, though I never figured how suitable they were. An author, with powers allowing them to summon things seemingly from their own mind, but it would've requred a better understanding of how in-universe lore is regarding the origins of other universes. Maybe someday...

On a different note; I think only our priest is capable of hearing that, but even then it'd depend on if he was using that particular blessing.

I'm going to be mostly out of pocket for another few days at this point- car shenanigans are eating my brain and my free time.

That was my intention at this point, and I'm currently waiting on a post from Neo to move things forward.

And... why did I read that as Assume Cat is prowling restlessly along the fridges !?!

Only those with the sharpest of hearing can pick up when Dent softly whispers...
"I know who Landsman is."
"From your tone of voice, I take it the man is not very pleasant." she asked.

or telepathy...😁
You seem to be saying that by virtue of telepathy, Alice knows what the people around her are thinking in a passive kind of way at any given time. Or did I read that wrong?

It seems like she just has unmodified Mind Reading, which should be a targeted "attack" right? Unless she was actively using it on him at the time for some reason in particular, I don't think she's even catch his zurface thoughts.

Unrelated... Sesame Street and Muppets actually exist in post-merge Earth, don't they? What a weird mish-mash world this setting is at times.

At least the Merge doesn't have Ponies, like the Crinoverse does...

Truth be told, I didn't actually intend to write that. But, leave it as is.
