As Inquisitor's powers began to activate, she immediately noticed something was horribly, horribly wrong with the woman's thoughts. There was something alien and invasive there - a hypnotic melody from somewhere overlaid the thoughts of the Regime woman. Even as she felt her deception take hold the words OBEY and REPORT seemed to override the thoughts the woman might have had about the Regime. Beneath them, she thought she could feel a sense of faint desperation and tiny hope... but then they were gone, and replaced by the need to obey.
Something is quite amiss with her thoughts - of all the Regime soldiers, you had to pick her. xD

Vee didn't like this. Not at all. Something was very very wrong with the regime soldier she was presently grappling with. <"Alright...someone's been messing with your brain meats...I'm going to try and break whatever it is they did to you."> she explained telepathically. Vee wasn't even sure the soldier heard it over whatever brainwashing or psychic control she'd been put through, but Vee was intent on breaking through it and bringing the woman soldier back to reality.
Power stunt!! From her array, Nullify Mental Effects 14, Close Range, Effortless and Simultaneous (28pp), so I'll make a power check roll versus the rank of any mental effects she is presently under. This is a brute strength attempt to break whatever mental effects she has been put under since she lacks the sensory skill to actively identify and analyze the nature of it.

Nullify opposed check: 1D20+14 = [13]+14 = 27


Going to need to get Analytical Detect Minds at some point methinks as she gets stronger and more trained.

Grace focused on the task in front of her, spinning her fighting sticks in a disorienting pattern before smacking the remaining soldier repeatedly.

>OOC: Spend her HP to fend off the fatigue from last round's extra effort. Power attack -4/+4, then routine attack at the remaining minion. So that is a 22 attack, DC 23 Toughness for the last soldier to deal with.

Inquisitor felt her brute force telepathic assault smash against the hypnotic melody and insert a ringing silence in its place. Into that silence, the woman's thoughts of sudden terrified gratitude and horror spring. Oh god finally free, gotta get it off. Cannot let it stay. Images flooded her mind, telling her that the woman wanted the helmet removed, and indeed, the gunner dropped her weapon in her hasty (if wasted) efforts to escape and yank her dehumanizing helmet off.
Inquisitor will have to wait for next round to react to that, I feel.
Grace's escrima sticks beat a rapid tattoo on the last gunner's armor, sending him first one direction, then the othe. "Ghhhk..." He managed to gasp before collapsing, unleashing a blast from his blaster that went so wide it was difficult to tell whether it was deliberate or not. He was down and out, and Grace was left standing amidst the three disabled soldiers bodies. One groaned quietly, still out of it.
Grace has secured the truck - no more soldiers in there.
Meanwhile, in the air, Blast Master growled at the Green Lantern. "You and yours came and attacked Earth, and Superman! Even Jordan saw the betrayal in this!" He unleashed another blast at her, this time missing and causing a burst of fires on a distant hillside instead.

At this, Janet dropped her green anvil on him, sending him spinning down to Earth faster. He may have grunted, but he fell too quickly for her to hear it, crashing down into the pavement and creating an enormous pothole.
Blast Master failed all four of his rolls this time, and is now sitting at 3 Damage, no daze, but still disabled. Dude's a freaking tank.

Tobey floated down, aiming a non-lethal but decidedly unsportsmanship-like kick at the gunner he'd bound. You didn't room with John Constantine for six years and not pick up a bit of dirty fighting. After that he looked around to take stock of the situation. "Anyone need a hand?" Casting so many consecutive spells in combat was surprisingly tiresome, but he couldn't back down now, not before this attack was stopped. The Regime had been toppled and he was going to make sure it stayed that way.
Finishing Attack on the bound enemy minion should knock him out.

The Regime soldier collapsed with a soft grunt as Tobey beat him into unconsciousness in a most deliberately painful fashion.

The sole conscious Regime soldier wrestled against the grip of Inquisitor's superpowered limbs, but was unable to escape - this time, she seemed as much concerned getting rid of the helmet that concealed her features, and more importantly (Vee sensed) was on her head. She was terrified of being controlled again, Inquisitor could tell, more than afraid of what might happen to her now that Vee had a grip on her.

Victoria looked around for the positions of the others. GL, whoever she was, was too far away, though she does spot Prestige at a much more convenient proximity. "Hey, pretty boy! Come get the helmet off this one, quickly. I can't grab it without letting her go and I've still got questions."

Tobey raised an eyebrow at the call, then smirked to hide his surprise. He floated over to lend her a hand.

"Sure thing, I'm happy to play assistant to a beautiful lead for a change."

She'd also torn into those wannabe Regime guys with apparently just her bare hands, so there was that, too. Beautiful and dangerous, she really seemed like the whole package.

The Green Lantern Power Rings may have sought out those with the greatest wills in the universe, but even Janet was running out of the mental energy to expend on this guy. "Yeah, OK," she dismissed his comments. "I'm just going to try to bottle up your crazy, if that's alright."

The ring-slinger of 2814 swooped down from the sky to where Blast Master had crash landed, concentrating on forming a green corked bottle with him trapped inside.
Standard Action with Create 13 to try trapping Blast Master inside a construct. Accurate Attack +/-2 against Blast Master's Dodge. If it's a hit, he needs to make a Dodge DC 21 or be trapped.
Accurate Attack +/-2 Create 13 Trap With Object: 1D20+7+2 = [12]+7+2 = 21

Blast Master, still prone from his rather dramatic fall, was quite easily captured by the Green Lantern's bottle construct. He grimaced and slowly eased himself up to a standing position, before blasting at the construct with his pink flare. It wavered, then shattered completely, and he grinned up at her, blood still shining dimly on his teeth. "I'll crush you, you little twerp!"
I rolled Toughness 13 vs. his DC 33 blast, and it failed by three degrees of failure. I believe this means that he shatters it entirely, but correct me if I'm wrong.
"Ring Power at 89.5%." Her ring noted seemingly out of the blue.

The police officer, seeing that Blast Master had returned to the ground, shouted at the heroes. "Clear a way!" She leveled her pistol at him and took a potshot, but it went fairly wide as she avoided shooting Inquisitor and the others on the ground.

Tobey studied the helmet, wondering how intent the wearer had been on keeping it on. Best to make sure and add a little oomph.

"Decnahne Htgnerts."
The magic washed over him as a deep red cascade and he reached for the helmet, trying at first to find a latch and if unsuccessful just shrugging and peeling it off the woman's head.
Tobey's got Strength 10 now, in case the helmet doesn't come off easily.

The woman's helmet came off with a snap as Tobey found the latches easily. Beneath the mask, she had dark olive skin, short blonde hair, and youthful features that marked her as barely older than the teen heroes. Her dark eyes were wide with terror, and her lips leaked blood. Around her head she wore a headband, and her hair was slick with sweat.

"Get it off!" She growled at them, twisting her neck and tossing her hair, as though trying to forcibly remove the headband.
I'll ask you guys to hold off a bit on reacting to this so that pathfinder can put Grace's post together. If it's not up in a couple days - by Thursday, then we'll assume she's watching from the shadows and continue.

With all of the soldiers in the truck taken care of, Miranda moved cautiously back to the entryway and peeked out, trying to make some sense of what was going on out there. It looked like Blast Master was back on the scene- and two of the (hopefully) heroes were wrestling with one of the Regime soldiers (Taking off her helmet? Why?). She put her fighting sticks away and pulled out another batarang- but for now, she was content to observe...

Came back from vacation, and promptly got sick- having a hard time getting back up to speed. Will be content to (mostly) observe for now. Officially, she will Ready an action- if Blast Master appears about to attack a non-super target (civilians or cops), give him a batarang to the head.

As he chatted, Tobey ran his fingers carefully along the headband, trying to again figure out whether there was a mechanism to it or if he'd have to just break it.

As he was taking his time to make sure not to hurt her, he bit back the guilt at the dawning realisation that it seemed like he'd been fighting unwilling victims through out this fight.

Victoria just focuses on maintaining her grip on the Regime soldier, letting Tobey take care of the helmet, and now headband. She figured whatever it was, Blast Master probably had something similar and figured it was interfering with her own abilities to affect or look into his mind, which may have stopped her from affecting this soldier had she a device of the same level, but that was all speculation.
Just going to maintain the grapple as a free action, and prepare an action to re-grapple if she suddenly tries and succeeds to escape.
