Felicity glances to Alex when he moves to help her right herself on the seat and gives him a quick wink while her face is still hidden from the others, then lets him slowly get her sitting, wincing visibly as she tries to get a few stray static-y hairs back under control with her restraint-covered hands, keeping up the wounded bird appearance. "Th-thanks.."

Once she is sitting upright once again, Felicity keeps her head down with her face hidden, arms crossed over her abdomen, still looking sore from the shock and generally appears not as alert as she actually is.

So they were making an example with the electric shock. Pathetic rabble. One interesting fact came out though, apparently the dangerous looking foreign (weren't they all?) woman had been in the prison for many years, so many it seems to deceived reason, given her appearance. But then again, he had lived for centuries, it ought to happen that there could be others like him. Still, much as he would live to have an ever beautiful concubine, this "Curare" woman flared up a lot of red flags in his mind. Weren't she the clear example of "gaijin" she was, he would have guessed she was Chinese by her demeanour. Or Shinobi. He hated both equally.

Maggie flinched at every syllable uttered by her fellow inmates. She didn't fear the shocks to herself. If her sleeves were pulled up the others would see the crisscross of scars on her arms - a testament to an inurement to physical pain she'd cultivated over her lifetime. No, the dread was that she'd see everyone suffering through those shocks again. She understood the necessity and the outcome would be desirable but the process was abhorrent.

She winced as the gag was forced in to place. It seemed to be the only way the woman named for a paralytic poison would remain silent. She could remember a time when her own self-control was less-than-ideal and many such measures would have to be employed by the well-meaning guards.

She tried to offer reassuring smiles to the apparently long-term prisoner, Curare.

She was grateful for the care shown by the thick-armed inmate who helped the lithe woman back in her seat. And gave a concerned glance her way as well.

If the odd appearance of the grey-skinned man bothered her she didn't show it and met his dark eyes without hesitation or malice.

She visibly admired the artwork of the inmate by the window with an encouraging nod towards it. Art therapy had been shown to be effective in many cases and Maggie wanted to be supportive of her fellow's efforts.

The inmate from Japan got a mildly curious look and a tentative, reassuring smile.

There were so many people here and she was trying to form a personal connection with them all through eye contact and smiles though she tried to respect the wishes of any who were feeling less-than-social at this early hour.

Kill you ALL! I will dance to your screams. Bathe in your misery. You'll all know the color of your own spleens by the time I'm done with you. Useless bunch of sorry sacks.

Seeing a woman like her get manhandled like that put him on edge, not sitting right for him at all. Utterly demeaning. He knew that she could handle herself, and probably wouldn't even apriacte him stepping into help, but Dave found he just couldn't help himself. This was a prime opportunity and you don't just let those pass without you.

Spitting out another glob of blood, Dave turned toward their handlers with a smirk. "Oh, so we're going being moved to one of those types of prisons huh? Kinky. After you're finished with us, do we get to put the gags on you and have our own fun?"
Am I dead? Am I alive? The answer may surprise you!

"Look here boys, he thinks he's funny. Let's show him what we think of funny guys." The lead agent says, causing two of his subordinates to give Dave the exact same treatment Madame Curare recieved with an extra added - a blindfold.

At this point it becomes clear to all of you that the AEGIS agents have a set of options when it comes to dealing with you for the duration of this trip and now would likely be a good time to stop rocking the boat.

The helicopter goes on through the night for several hours and even lands once to refuel from what those of you are able to tell from the noises that come from outside the craft before lifting back into the air to continue on its way. From inside those of you that can look out a window aren't able to tell where you're at during any point of the journey, between the height you're travelling at and it being the middle of the night it's nearly impossible to spot any landmarks that might help.

After what seemed like hours, and likely was, the helicopter begins to descend for only the second time since first taking off. Once the craft lands the agents a series of events quickly happen; the AEGIS agents increase in number as several more enter the helicopter through the back ramp and quickly set to getting everyone ready to be moved. From there you’re quickly moved from onto a landing deck that is built into the top of a mountain with only a concealed doorway on the opposite side being the only thing any of you can make out.

It’s a manmade portal you’re all taken through and quickly led into a landing that leads to a stairway heading down. This is where things slow down as the leg restraints make walking down them a bit challenging, and after almost thirty minutes your procession walks through a second door that opens into a large room with chairs for all of you – you can tell this because of the restraints built into them and the AEGIS agents pushing you in their direction. In only a few minutes of time each of you have been locked down into the waiting seats, and once the power dampening feature has chirped to life to prove that it was active your traveling restraints are removed, and the sound of a woman’s voice breaks the silence. It's at this time that anyone who has received "additional" restraints have them removed at this point and time.

“All non-essential personal out of the room.” And without a word all of the armed AEGIS agents leave in a quietly efficient manner. Before any of you can try to test your new restraints, though you do notice none of your special abilities are working, the woman’s voice again breaks the silence. “Hello, what’s about to happen will only take a few minutes. Have no doubt that all of you are totally restrained and trying to free yourselves during what is about to be done will result in some rather nasty …… let’s go with side effects.”

“So, stay still and behave.”

This last sentence is punctuated with the lights of the room being turned off only to be replaced by a staggering number of candles that seemed to appear out of nowhere, already lit somehow. Then two women and a man enter the room without a word to anyone and begin what apparently is their assigned task – placing a powdery substance in a circle that encompasses all of you as well as several symbols that none of you recognize as a language. As this is happening another woman goes to each of you in turn holding a bowl filled with a liquid and a paintbrush; pausing a few moments in front of each of you, she opens the top of your jumpsuit enough that she is able to paint something on your chest while making sure to draw a few lines that reach from whatever she just drew to your neck.

Once all of you have been given "the artist treatment" the woman who'd first addressed the group begins speaking again, however these words are from a language that none of you recognize - in fact it nearly sounds like some kind of babbly, pig latin, made up language if anything. Although it quickly becomes clear that it is something more than it sounds as the substance that has been painted on all of you begins to glow and cause each of you feel a tingling sensation where the liquid was spread on you. It is a slow building sensation - at first feeling like the pins & needles feeling one has when they've slept in an awkward position and first arise. From there it becomes stronger, more intense as it spreads out across the substance painted on all of you, almost feeling like shooting, electric shocks. From there the pain increases until you feel like your painted skin is on fire.

Then it is suddenly over, the pain is gone. Though the memory of it is something each of you will long remember.

"Take a few moments to collect yourselves." The woman finally says in an understandable language finally. "Things will be explained to you when the overseerer arrives." And without another word you're left alone in the power dampening chairs, alone.

As soon as their tormentor left the room, Keyanna glanced around at each of the others, giving them each an obvious, appraising glance for the first time. Then, aiming carefully ff to one side, she spit on the floor. "Anyone else hate this brujeria BS? Here I thought we were getting the good behavior trip to Disneyland. Instead we get witches..."

Nathan followed the guards instructions and didn't even react to the standard "hurry up" encouragements when the guards knew very well the restraints made that impossible.

Being seated in chairs meant someone was going to come in and start speaking to them up close and personal. What he got was... disquieting. He got an itchy feeling from his and started squirming in his seat long before the chanting began.

When it's all over, he is angry and more than a little concerned about what just happened. Why did they need to do some weird voodoo to them when they were cuffed and in power neutralizers.

Nathan rolls his eyes so hard he nearly goes blind. Another cocky convict out to prove how tough he is by making jokes in bad situations. It was so cliche it was an insult to the word "cliche."

Madame Curare
Image

“That was... unexpected.” Madame Curare said, rising from her seat, and striding over to the remains of the powdery circle. She crouched down, staying on the balls of her feet, to take a closer look... She didn’t know what the glyphs meant. She didn’t even find them vaguely suggestive of something that she might know. Hell, she didn’t even know if she wasn’t looking at them upside-down. “That was no smoke and mirrors routine. I don’t know what it was, but I know it was something.”
“OOC” wrote:Madame Curare’s Polyglot Training Power isn’t working on these glyphs, this would give her the serious heebjeebies. She’d try not to let anyone know.
Curare rose to her full height again, rebuttoning her prison jumpsuit. Trying to salivate her appearance as best as the situation allowed. She looked over each of the group in turn.

“Thoughts, opinions, feedback?”

Making sure to appear to "help" Felicity up and moving,Alex wasn't liking where this was going, not one bit.Seeing a chance to maybe get some more allies here,he said to the others as they were being lead down
"Listen, i know we all got off on the wrong foot earlier,so i'm not gonna mence words and treat you like your stupid.Whatever happens here,DO NOT give these Jackboots the satisfaction of watching you writh in pain.Remember that all a Rebel is is someone who says No.I know it's a tall order, but don't give them that under any Cercumstances(?)....."
Giving Maggie,Felicity,Dave and Curare a pointed look, the young Revolutionary finished by saying(just as they got to the room)
"Trust has to start somewhere,so i'm Alex and hope to talk to you more later."

The Room itself reminded him of old Hammer Horror Movies he saw as a kid,it was that wierd. Then they somehow decided to ratchet up the creepy with......for lack of a better term he could think of,Occult Operators(he wasn't stupid,he knew magic existed out there,Heck,Bo was The Miz-ation's resident Voodooist) that started putting some wired powder down and giving everyone nice, wonderful new magic tattoo's......

He tried to brace himself for what he thought was coming and, sure enough, the pain reinforcement hit with all the subtleness of a Machine gun in a Convent.Taking deep breaths afterward,Alex looked around to make sure his (Potential) allies were ok as he remarked dryly
"What a wonderful welcoming committee greeting.Everybody alright?Gorgeous, how you and Perky doing?...."

"Thoughts,Opinions,feedback?"
Looking down the line to where Curare was at,Alex replied
"I'll lay odds to evens it was a form of binding magic, though i can't be certain,as i'm no Occult Operator.I'll guarantee this though; it's got to be either a form of control or Deadman's Switch to keep us as their Personal Attack Dogs...."

Felicity had indeed remained silent for the rest of the flight, head bowed and appearing like she may be asleep, and tempting as that was given the origin of this flight, she was alert and listening, though apparently for naught as the rest of the trip passed uneventfully after the guards made it clear they had various alternative means of 'correction'.

On debarking their ride, Felicity allows Alex to assist her, but gives him a sharp, subtle (and not terribly forceful) elbow to the ribs when he starts talking without otherwise breaking her 'wounded' cadence.

The restraint chairs concerned her a bit. In the travel restraints they could move some, but those chairs were going to cut down on even that. The slender woman struggle a little against being forced into the seat, but is easily overpowered by the guards and restrained like everyone else, taking a winding blow to the stomach for her efforts, again seeming to tale the air out of her sails a little too easily.

Felicity looked up when the lights were replaced by candle light and the freaky mojo was brought out. Given that whoever these people were, they clearly did not care for the wellbeing of the prisoners, she held herself still when the woman undoes her prison jumper to paint on her chest and neck, trying to make out what was being painted on the others that she can see and arching out at the painful sensation thay followed, just slumping back down when it finally passed.

Once everything had gone quiet and the voice over the speaker seemed to leave them temporarily to recover from...whatever that was, Felicity stirs again.

"Ow.... seriously...anyone know how many human and prisoner rights they just violated?" she looks down at her open prisoner suit. "They could at least have closed us back up.."

She tugs lightly against her restraints to see if maybe they might just open for her.

Jen remained quiet for the rest of the trip as well. Shed tested her limits and settled back for now. She might have been a bit impulsive on occasion but she wasn't stupid, and she was very patient. When the exceptionally boring trip ended and they were dragged out and into a new room of horrors.

She put up a token struggle mostly because it was expected of her, mostly making the guards do all the work of getting her where they were going, and making sure the new restraints were just enough of an annoyance to put on her that they had to at least threaten to smack her one if she didn't comply.

that's when things got weird. The candles the chanting and worse the tattoo, all ending melodramatically in silence while still restrained.

"At least three that I can count but I was never big on Sesame Street." she snerked before sighing causing another breath of cold air to flare out into the room.

"Had to be a tattoo, my brothers gonna kill me." she said off handedly putting out an airhead vibe that she liked to use to keep people off balance.

Thought he was funny? Dave knew he was funny, but he could sympathize with people who were so unfortunate to not be born with a working sense of humour. He didn't laugh when they started putting the ballgag in, but the amussment was there. They were even nice enough to cover up his eyes, which offered him a small relief against the bright lights.

He decided to be compliant after that point, without any more means to do anything short of standing up and flailing wildly. That likely have ended with him getting shot, and he was intent on avoiding his severe bullet allergy as much as possible.

After the spookiness had transpired and they were left alone with their thoughts, this tine without guards to gag them for speaking, Dave looked intently at his surroundings. He compared the markings each of them received, tried to get a good angle on the magic circle surrounding him, but his lack of any arcane knowledge was a bit of a hinderance.

"Brand. Tattoos are with needle and ink, not fire."

"Whatever they are, by the looks of things not a single one of us has any idea what they mean, do we?"

Maggie offered no resistance or protest as the restraints were transferred. She tried to keep quiet but the tickly brushes on her chest and neck drew bubbly giggles that tinkled through the room.

Her smile becomes more and more uncertain and even fades slowly as, what she can only assume is magic builds. She'd never liked magic. Though truth be told she didn't actively fear it. It was little different than say, controlling magnetic forces with nothing but one's mind. Still, she was increasingly concerned as the icy tendrils of their magic invaded her body and mind.

The pain drew screams from her.

When it was over she stayed with her eyes closed, breathing in ragged but measured breaths. Her head was back and tears streaked her cheeks as sweat dried on her forehead.
