Been a crazy week with no down time at home for gaming. That should return to normal (for the next two weeks at least) over the week-end.

(Please note I will be going off the grid at the end of the month for a week.)

As for this game, I want to point something out that may or may not come up in the next arc. I know Rand has the Benefit: Agent Gene. I stand by earlier statement that this Gene will cross-multiverse / cross-setting and allow for a whole swath of compatibility. However, I want to point out for the record that does not mean that it will contradict in-mythos continuity.

Essentially, those with the Ancient Gene could not power Go'auld devices required Naquadah in the blood and vice versa. Those types of distinctions will be maintained.

I now return you to your regular scheduled scheduled surfing and lament the relative low-key post for my 1200th post on these boards... :D

I think Kar'Anna got what she wanted, so I hope you're not waiting on me.

What is the quickest way to gain a telepath's attention? By acting suspiciously nervous and blocking her.

Indeed.

So why would someone want to go to so much trouble to get a telepath’s attention ?

You’re the telepath. You tell me.

For anyone who watched the shows, Woolsey started out as something of a weasel, was proven over time to be a morally strong and genuinely good person. By the time time he takes command of Atlantis he’s a capable leader able to make tough decisions. However, he does not have combat training or tactical talent.

If he is nervous about something it generally shows.

Mmm. While Amy is a telepath, I'm not so much of one ;). Also, not much of a fan of Star Gate, but I suspect if he's nervous, then Amy would be concerned enough to question him. She'd probably know enough about him to know there's probably a valid reason why.

How aware are the others in the room of what's happening? How public was the initial exchange?

Up to Amy, I believe.

So far, in my book, she`s noticed his guard is up (literally) and reacted.
Lindsey feels something is off.
I don`t think Kar'Anna is making any efforts to read Woolsey, telepathically or otherwise.

EDIT - Mixed up my kirinkes. :D

I'm sure Sherlock realizes something is off as well, but he can't (no matter what his character sheet may say) read detailed thoughts of non-telepaths.

And Woolsey is no telepath. :D

However, would Sherlock be able to pick something up from the exchange with Amy?

She'll clue them in if Woosely gives permission.

The initial exchange wasn't very loud and she was just offering innocent advice on how to deal with nosy telepaths and dissuade them from poking around one's mind. Big giant heads mind-blocking a known telepath isn't a shocker after all.

Honestly, saying Sherlock is fully telepathic with other full telepaths rather than only with Sphinxian treecats is going beyond the source material, but in the Honorverse there are no known non-treecat full telepaths (and only a handful of slightly to strongly empathic humans).
