COMPLICATIONS
Overbearing Helmet: The Helmet of Nabu demands to be worn and protect the world from chaos. The longer one wears the helmet, the more their personality or overcome by that of Fate.

HISTORY
1904, January 17: Kent Nelson is born.
1920: Archaeologists Kent Nelson (16) and his father, Sven, discover an underground pyramid in Mesopotamia, unearthing the Helmet of Nabu. Sven is killed by a pocket of poisonous gas. The artifacts to the pyramid are packaged and sent to Harvard University.
1934: Kent Nelson (30) and Inza Cramer (18) are married.
1940, May 31: The immortal sorcerer Wotan kidnaps Inza Kramer (24), with the intention of transferring his spirit into a new body. To protect Inza, Kent Nelson (36) dons the Helmet of Nabu, becoming Doctor Fate.
Upon discovering Captain Marvel is actually a 10-year-old boy, Kent Nelson adopts Billy Batson.
1941, January: Doctor Fate joins the JSA.
1945: Inza convinces Kent Nelson (41) that there is more to life than being a hero and he stops putting on the Helmet of Fate. Kent continues his life as a superhero though, fashioning himself a new helmet that covers only half his face, but has no connection to Nabu. He uses his own mystical knowledge and the powers absorbed when he wore the helmet, but they are nowhere near his old level.
1951: The JSA disbands. Kent Nelson (47) retires from crime fighting.
1977, August: Kent Nelson (73) dies protecting the Helmet of Fate from being stolen by Klarion the Witch-Boy and Abra Kadabra.
1977, November: The Helmet of Fate is donned by Giovanni Zatara.
