On his knees, the Squire reaches into his jacket and pulls out the toolkit wrapped around the small of his back like a brace, unfurling it on the ground in front of him. He's picked locks before, plenty of times, but a situation like this was not exactly his forte. That skill was more-so for breaking into cars without setting off the car alarm, a skill he had "refined" while working at the scrapyard. In theory, however, this was something he was capable of. He took his flashlight and turned it on with a hand cupping the bulb to avoid too much light escaping as he selected his lock picking tools from the kit. Once the tools were selected, the Squire handed his flashlight to the White Rabbit and slowly got to work.
"Fuck," the Squire cursed softly as he attempted to pull open the door, pulling his tools out of the lock and inspecting them for damage. He thought he had it, but he must have missed a tumbler or something. He turned and shot a sheepish smile at the White Rabbit. "Aren't magicians supposed to be able to pick locks?"OOC wrote:Disable Device: 1D20+8 = [8]+8 = 16
He returned his attention to the lock, rolling his shoulders and his neck before getting back down to work.
