Kevin Winters / Ice
Cond: Normal
HP: 1

Kevin glanced around at the motley group of students.

"Brittney and I are supposed to try and get you to turn back, failing that we're to make sure no one gets hurt. I think it's already too late for the former so let's jump to the latter.

"Since I know someone's going to ask, I'm just going to answer. No one. I'm throwing ideas and we don't have time to determine a pecking order among us."
:

His mind flashed to Brittney's suggestion to the girl with the plant powers and he gets an idea. Spotting the water dripping off Ana and the blurriness, he also surmises that he and Britney can probably put their powers to good use.

"I have no idea what you can do, sorry. Chime in wherever sounds good." Kevin nods to Redline.

"Brittney, if your powers are heat related, can you melt tires?" He indicates the vans. "What's your name?Portal? How good's your control of your portals?" He looks at Wally and surmises this is about to go very south very fast. "Tell everyone I was a poofta later and you had to save my ass, but if your control is good enough to target the ignitions of the vans and simply remove the keys, then by all means.

"I think I can immobilize two maybe three of them but we have to move fast.

"We have no idea who they are or what they want. Minimize injuries to them and to us."

Kevin really wished he was as confident and dare I say it - cool - as he sounded.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

OOC; A Ford E350 weighs somewhere around 5400 lbs or just about 2.75 tons empty. With Create 8, Kevin can lift 6 tons. His goal is not actually to lift them off the ground, but to jack them up so they can't move. Kevin is ready to do his best Game of Thrones line, but waits for the others to chime in. With 250 cubic feet to work with, that should be plenty to lift the trucks off the ground enough to prevent them from driving off. Note that if he uses all 6 ranks to lift, then these things are super fragile. But the goal is to slow them down and he doesn't know his limits yet.

He can also put up a toughness 8 wall that's about 1.5 feet thick by 3 feet high by 50 feet long if my math is right. (Or 25 wide by 6 feet high by 1.5 feet thick - enough to block the road.

Lastly: Who's the sixth?

"Cool it, Sparkles. You're jumpy-er than a meth head onna bender of powdered sugar an dry cleaning solution."

As the other two arrive Wally assesses them. They look familiar from English Lit but he doesn't really know them. "You'd be Winters then wouldn'cha, Frosty." he says to the humanoid blizzard in the jumper. "What are you exactly? The Ghost of Christmas Ugly Sweater Competitions?"

"That'd make you Reese." he says to the girl. He looks like he wants to say more but just shuts up and gestures people through.

Unlike the previous one that Redline and Gelignite experienced, this portal twists at one's insides. It feels as if, while the rest of you is going forward, some vital internal organs are going backwards. The woods on the other side of it swim in momentary vertigo as it takes a few breaths to right ones'self.

"Yeah, only the far one's do that. If ya chew gum that helps." Wally says offering gum sticks. "Sorry, it's Watermelon, if'n I knew we was going inta this sitch I'da gotten WinterFresh and Arse-kicking. Thas no where near my 48.2 kilometer range, bu the way, but thems the breaks."

Wally looks as if he wishes the vertigo effect lasted longer as Winters started speaking.

"I have no idea what you can do, sorry. Chime in wherever sounds good." Kevin nods to Redline.
"He destroys school property and shocks hisself sumthin fierce." Wally says with a grin. "Seriously though I bet you'll play merry havok with those lories." Wally indicates the vans/trucks.
"Tell everyone I was a poofta later and you had to save my ass, but if your control is good enough to target the ignitions of the vans and simply remove the keys, then by all means."
"Me handle's 'Skew' an yer more of a 'ponce' than a 'poofter' right now... You'll have ta EARN 'poofter'." Wally says sagely.

"Between Sparky and Big Bada Boom over 'ere, the vehicles aint an issue so's howabout I keep em from shootin' yer arses off when the noise comes." Wally offers.
"We have no idea who they are or what they want. Minimize injuries to them and to us."
"Oh, now THAT aint happenin'! Dunno what posh tracks yer from, Mate, but on tha streets you DON'T go easy on wankers who gas yer home."

When the blurry form of Shark Girl made itself known Wally's fists come up instinctually. "Oh bejezus nuts! Toothy Smurf's got a Stealth Mode. Tha' aint bloody right."

"Initially, Howsabout I look into those vans ta see if they got any prisoners?" And Wally does so, ready to open a portal to grab anything useful.
Wally's using the combination Elongation Portal and Penetrates Concealment vision.

AE: -Elongation pr5 {900 ft}, Subtle 2, Quirk - cannot 'wrap'[no grapple bonus], Feature 2: Does not occupy intervening space, Indirect 4, Perk/Feature - Wally can bring small things to himself through his portals, (13p)
-Movement - Permeate 3, (6p)
{Elongated limbs couldn't normally 'pass through' solid objects. With Permeate 3 they can at no speed reduction. Since M&M is an effects based system I felt this was needed to accurately represent the power of sticking an arm through a portal. This might be overkill, but it made sense to add it.}
-Senses: Vision gains Penetrates Concealment and Extended 2 (6p)
-Enhanced trait - Improved Critical 4 to unarmed strike (4p)
{Wally can reach through spatial skews to pick someone's pocket or manually manipulate an object. He creates a portal by his eye to let him see through intervening space as well. He can also punch someone in the back of the head or in the nads hence the Improved critical. With Indirect 4 this attack can come from any direction anywhere so the target might be vulnerable the first few attacks (GMs call). Of course he's still thwarted if the inside space is dark.}

Brittney takes a moment to size up the attackers. Memories of the men that showed up at her parents house all too vivid in her mind.

Ana Maria was all set to just keep going along without any real plan and just start chewing the legs off of someone important looking, but then a gaggle of students appeared out of nowhere causing her some pause. She looked at their faces first, recognizing a couple like Kevin and Brittney, though everyone else was a mystery. Actually... the one with the bad mustache looked familiar. She couldn't quite put a fin on it though.

Hey, wait- Was Kevin wearing her hoodie? He was going to stretch it out! And oh my god why was it covered in frost and pulling weird like it when he moved. She opened her mouth a couple times to find the words to properly get her displeasure across, largely missing most of... whatever he was saying. Something about a plan? "I was gonna go in and gnaw on the driver's leg. The one in that van with the weird stuff being shoved into it. Seemed important." She declared, displaying all the tactical prowess of a sixteen year old sophomore.

"More important though- What the hell did you do to her! I had that since I was thirteen and you're wearing it out! You better pray that she recovers, or you're going to regret it." She declares with a near-snarl, gesturing wildly at Kevin and her hoody.

"...wankers who gas yer home." She heard, from somewhere toward her right. She looked just in time to see Mr. porn-stache jr. raising a fist at her with a disgusted expression. "Oh bejezus nuts! Toothy Smurf's got a Stealth Mode. Tha' aint bloody right."

Oh hell. Now she knew why he looked familiar. "What did you just call me?! I remember you, you're the guy who was yelling at my dad yesterday!" She snapped her jaws close to his face, not reaching it completely due to his weird space and her own unwillingness to actually go through with seriously injuring him. "Next time it'll be for real!" She declared, crossing her arms defiantly.
Am I dead? Am I alive? The answer may surprise you!

Wally delays peering into the van as the irate girl lunges forward. "Woah! Try the other way around, Jawsette. HE was rantin' at ME over a simple misunderstanding that Drag-race Dumbledore sorted out." Wally says defensively.

"Now holster your six-gums an let me see if they've got hostages."

She snorts dismissively at Wally, turning her nose up at him. Absolutely nothing he was saying was making out to be all that redeemable. Well, maybe the hostages part, but that was probably just an outliar. This guy just screamed trouble. Plus he smelled awful. And who in the world is Dumbledore anyway? What a dumb sounding name.{*}

"Ponce then." Kevin mutters and sighs. "No restraint? Just hit them with everything until they stop moving?"

This felt wrong. Professors Munroe and Rasputin had stayed behind. How in the name of Jack Frost's frozen behind would they let an attack on the school happen, and then let a bunch of students with barely adequate control and understanding of their powers deal with it?

He turns to Brittney.

"Now that's a cool power." The image of a fire breathing girl melting things by touch, that was an image. Better than him on his ice slides anyway. "I feel like this is some kind of test. Why aren't the more experienced and powerful students and teachers in the forefront keeping us back and dealing with this?" He said so only Brittney could hear.

He tensed, preparing to immobilize the vans despite the apparent desire to inflict harm that some of the others had.

He grinned sheepishly at Sharq.

"Sorry. Either that or leave it on the ground with the growing plants and the running people." Kevin actually seems to collapse in on himself, becoming a pile of powdered snow, flowing out of the sweatshirt and then reforming in his icy form. He hangs the hoodie over the nearest tree branch.

"Well, I guess I'll just hafta trust your vast experience as the Catcher in those kindsa situations." Wally relents.
"Are we doing this thing or what?" he asked anxiously.
"Seriously, take a Ketamine or a Xanax, or snort some Chamomile or sumpthin', Flatline. If I find that they are holding any prisoners from the school that changes our priorities from assault to rescue first, THEN assault. If'n they gots others then the blurry blue beluga over there's gonna come in real handy." Wally says, continuing to peer from van to van.

It's now or never. Wally finds noone in the vehicles, it's pretty evident even just at the first one there's only enough room in the back for the four returning men per vehicle as they finish loading in, ready to leave.

Flynn, you have some info coming to you via PM for your streetwise roll. Brittney didn't roll high enough. And Ana's up first. Wally can relate (or not) what he figured out on his turn after Ana

Having become bored with the specifics regarding whatever it was they were to do, Ana decided to follow through with her initial 'plan'. With a wide toothy grin, Ana ducked low to the ground and made her way up to the important looking van and tried to keep as quiet as she could while doing so. Whether or not she succeeded, she lunged through the driver side window and tried to grab hold of the man's shoulder with her teeth!
