I figured I'd throw some of my stuff on here. Alas, my printer is ineffective right now, so these are pictures from my cellphone.

A character I SWEAR TO GOD I created before Frozen ever came out (she was rejected for a game in 2e M&M, since she seemed too silly for their universe), Ice Princess was kind of a "Sailor Moon Meets American Superhero Comics" thing, where an ordinary girl discovers she's the daughter of the Queen of a magical realm, and of course bad guys are out to kill her. I modified her from an old concept of mine- a teen hero in a "Teen Titans"-like group named Shiver (which is still a name I might use).

The idea is that she's immature, kind of whiny, and is wholly unprepared... but the huge amount of bad guys after her means she needs training & protection, meaning the elite superhero team of my universe are going to have to include her on the roster anyway.

Fun fact: her "icicle" chest symbol was originally supposed to be a giant raised diamond, in three dimensions. But I'd only ever drawn it in 2-D, straight-on drawings, I realized that since the character HAD BREASTS, that this giant diamond would never work (because of her chest, the lower diamonds would be projecting way off of her torso, while the others would be spread across her boobs at an awkward angle that would always look terrible). So it's now a 2-D wraparound design. And also the upper spires had to be smaller or else she'd poke herself in the chin.

Some assorted antagonists I created.

THE TIGER- Based off of a "Create-A-Wrestler" I made up years ago- now, he's a Super-Powered Pro Wrestler in an elite fighting league. The original guy was named Jushin "The Tiger" Liger, because I had heard of the New Japan wrestler, but never seen him, so I copied his name and made up a new guy- a muscular Japanese dude who used superkicks, Brainbusters and an Inverted Front Facelock as a finisher. Also I didn't know what a "Liger" was, and so I just rhymed his last name to get a nickname.

THE CRUSHER- A generic "Jobber Villain" with super-strength, meant to be a Wrecking Crew-like "Everyone has fought and beaten this guy before", as well as a (because it's me) giant thing about what it would actually BE LIKE to have a rep like that. I realized after I designed his super-plain outfit that I made him look like a Chicago Cubs fan. I don't watch baseball.

CHAIN GANG- He turned into a pile of ball-and-chains somehow. He's evil. I call guys like this "Sketchpad Characters". I have no idea why he is a ball and chain.

BRICKHOUSE- A guy who got permanently turned into a sentient pile of moving bricks, he was set up by a super-villain (Eris... who looks and acts like Vidia from Disney Fairies because f*ck you, that's why) and a superhero (her half-sister, Athena) was blamed. By the time he found out the truth, it was too late, and he was a super-villain.

THE OGRE- Also an old "Create-A-Wrestler" (I made him up in 1995!), now he's a Half-Ogre with Class 50-ish Super-Strength. The original guy was "Harry Ogurson", a 6'5", 600+ pound wrestler who used a Legdrop finisher and feuded with many a babyface under Bobby "The Brain" Heenan's direction. He ended up teaming with another former top heel (Brother Al... looks similar to a regular-colored Brother Love, but wrestles like Ric Flair) forming a dominant tag team before I got tired of "Big Fat Heel" wrestlers in my made-up federation. In my comic-verse he's a Half-Ogre and wrestles for large crowds in super-fights.

WAR PANGOLIN- Pangolins already look like super-villains, so it makes perfect sense that my fictional universe would contain an Armadillo knock-off who is just a giant, bipedal pangolin-lookin' dude. I'm not satisfied with how his face looks. Also UGH those damn scutes. No wonder The Armadillo just has a bunch of straight lines.

I'd bet a lot of the greyness in your pics comes from you using your phone. I'm pretty sure that the grey could be cleaned up.

Yeah, that's the case. Apparently Windows 10 doesn't really support my scanner, and finding a "Driver" or whatever online is difficult, since apparently I have to do all sorts of weird stuff on my computer, and I'm uncomfortable with stuff like that. I don't know where the original disc is, or if that would even work. I don't know why my phone "greys" everything out.

The Emerald Witch

One of the members of my main 'verse's Superhero Team- The Emerald Witch. ORIGINAL CHARACTER DO NOT STEAL.

She's your trademark "That Guy/Team Hellion" with the potential to go evil (character concept: "What if Elphaba was the daughter of Maleficent?"). She's got a bad attitude, especially about her skin color. I decided to make her eyes that strange/creepy yellow shade, because I figured green skin wasn't going to make someone an outcast if they had THAT body. I also made her sorta extra-curvy/thick in some ways- her arms are a fair bit thicker than most women's. The face is the trickiest part- I tried to draw a caricature of Idina Menzel, but it's too difficult to do properly (it's hard not to exaggerate the nose & chin too much, and make her look hideous instead of quirky). So I kind of modified it in my style over and over again, and just extended the nose & jawline just a LITTLE past where they would be on a normal person- I ended up with something much more in my style.

Fun fact: her thigh was originally MUCH thicker- I got all the way to the inking stage before I realized just how insanely huge I'd made it, and kind of colored it in with the dark grey. I mean, I love thick thighs on a woman, but WOW... Also, the dress increased in size at various steps, as I realized once I'd colored it that she was showing WAY too much skin- going beyond "I like my body and I'm showing it off" and heading into "Streetwalker" territory. What's sad is that the original dress would've looked okay on a less-chesty woman- the Busty Woman's Lament.

Image

Some costume ideas that weren't just "hot green chick in black dress". The leather jacket one's not bad. The bottom who are more on-the-nose as per my inspirations. The "spider-web" one looks neat, but I fear having to draw that again. But I tend to just have characters alternate costumes- why would a real superhero always wear the exact same outfit?

Every superhero universe needs jobbers- losers who lose to the heroes again and again. And mine has its very own equivalent to The Serpent Society. A gang of Aquatic-themed super-villains, most are utter losers.

The Assembled Villains:
(first row)
MANTA RAY- Actually I don't mind his look. Though he's basically just "Batman with a tail".
BULL SHARK- A shark-man with horns.
OARFISH- Based off of the world's longest bony fish. He has elongation powers.
Whale Shark- The world's largest fish inspires a Growing Guy. And oddly, pink actually seems to WORK on his design. Not a lot of pink-wearing male super-characters, y'know?
DR. NAUTILUS- A nutty, armor-wearing super-scientist.

(second row)
THRESHER SHARK- I deliberately made him orange because it's not used often. His "thresher" hand makes him look like a dork. He's an ex-surgeon who became a supervillain in order to pay for a new prosthetic hand that worked like his old one. He was discovered & ruined, so he has to be a crook full-time now.
GOBLIN SHARK- I didn't want to settle for "just" looking like a weird anthro-shark. He needed garish gloves & boots.
BLUE SHARK- A super-strong, beefy woman. CLASSIC jobber material, like Marvel's old "Grapplers" super-villainess team.
DOGFISH- Yes, that's a real name for an animal. Though I intended this guy to look stupid (he's a dog-man wearing swimming gear), I was unprepared for just HOW stupid he would look.
SAWFISH- I wanted him to look a bit silly- to be the group's own "Boomslang"- a total loser to whom even common gang members were a threat. So when the costume came out looking too plain, I added stuff. And then added more stuff. And then a bit MORE stuff. Now, he somehow mixes "too plain" (two-color suit), with "too busy" (fins sticking off in odd places, a fin-head).

(third row)
NURSE SHARK- I wanted one to be a "Shark Mermaid" kind of thing, but be monstrous instead of hot. Well, the body's on point, but she's a total butterface. I wanted to mess around with the colors on her clamshell bra & hair, otherwise she'd just be a gray shark chick. Too plain, y'know?
SAND SHARK- A Sandman-type guy who usually takes shark form, I guess. SOME HAVE MORE THOUGHT THAN OTHERS PUT INTO THEM, OKAY??
KNIFEFISH- The group's own "Diamondback"- a bad girl gone good, who can be "saved" by the virtuous male hero. Total nerd fetish shit, right? Except in THIS case, she's a "Terra"- a deliberate plant meant to find out the hero's secrets. Also her power is throwing knives (Knifefish are actually the animals for which we get the "electric eel", who is unrelated to the Moray Eel).
UNNAMED FISH LADY- I can't remember what I was gonna call her. She basically looks like some fanart I saw for Monster High's Lagoona Blue, but with a simple black swimsuit (odd-skinned women kind of need simple costumes). I added the red arm-fins based off of a rejected design for Amphitrite, the wife of Poseidon.
LANTERNFISH- The third member of the group's "Bad Girls Inc." inner circle of friends. She's black and she has light powers. That's about all I got so far.

(bottom row)
CARPET SHARK- A camouflaged suit-wearing guy. I kinda like how the "mottled" look came out.
MAKO- A weaker minion for his boss, the guy next to him...
GREAT WHITE- A huge South African hunter-turned-monster. He's usually unrelated to this group, but gets recruited because he's "on theme"- unlike the others, he is DEFINITELY not a Jobber- one of that world's most dangerous solo supervillains.
BARRACUDA- A Barracuda-man. Though he has that classic evil/goofy face, I don't mind how his grey coloring looks here- kinda "silvery".
MEGAMOUTH- One of the latest creations (because of the poses and the room left, I skooshed some of them together)- a guy who activates a vortex into his "mouth" that leads victims to somewhere.
SIXGILL- A guy in a pretty cool suit, inspired by a Mutants & Masterminds character, and the Justice League Unlimited version of one of Aquaman's baddies.

Dogfish is hilarious. I think it's because it's not just scuba gear but a shark fin and tail. Also the expression. It's almost like he knows he's ridiculous but is trying to be scary anyway. I love it.

Haha, I'm pretty sure I even added that as an afterthought. Like, I knew I wanted the shark fin and the SCUBA gear, but I was like "this dog-man wearing clothes needs SOMETHING MORE. Something STUPIDER."

A yet-to-be named Femme Fatale-type evil seductress with fire powers. I changed my mind on the chest design for her dress, but either will probably work. Physically, her basis is sorta Christina Hendricks.

The second is an identical drawing, but with a different piece of paper over the chest. Here, she's a bit more "Fire Elsa"- a tad elegant and less "superhero-y".

Everyone constructing their own superhero universe is contractually obligated to include what I call a "Supermanalogue"- an obvious riff on the most famous hero of all. I decided to be different, and make mine a woman. Then I discovered that about a billion other DA artists had the same idea, leading to an armada of busty Flying chicks out there. Oh well :).

A supervillain in my universe- a mercenary with an intensely greedy side, when his line of work became dominated by people in tights with gimmicks, he didn't despair. Instead, he threw on a pair of tights and got himself some gimmicked weapons.

I like the SuperWOmanalogue.

The gimmicked weapon guy is a little odd in that it looks like he favours javalins and spears, rather than bow and arrows, but he's still wearing long archer gloves, but he's wearing them backwards. (In as much as the idea of them is to cover all of the skin which might get hit by a released bowstring, and it's the outside of the arm that gets the openings.)

He dresses that way for style - it's part of his money-making gimmick as a mercenary :). Bare arms were too plain, and all-purple was visually distracting.
