I'm familar with the comic, haven't read it (yet) but by sheer nerd osmosis I've learned about it. I'm mostly just joshing.

Yea same here. Used to think Wolverine or Gambit were so much cooler than that boy scout Cyclops, but now I find Cyclops* way more interesting and cool as a character.

*Pre- end justifies the mean, extremist Mutant leader Cyclops, obviously.

Honestly, its a toss up for me. I've always liked Superman. Never mind that I'd love to have those abilities if only for being able to fly under my own power. More though it is about a character that could do quite literally anything, Superman should by all rights rule the world, a benevolent dictator. But he doesn't because he sees the good in people.

Kal-El could rule the world as a benevolent dictator, but Clark Kent would never let him. Ma and Pa raised their boy better than that.

And that's why I like Superman. Because even though he could rule the world, he doesn't because even though he isn't human he certainly has heaping piles of humanity. Which why I think Lex is such a good foil for Superman: Lex is human but has very little of his humanity left, if he ever had any.

Lex has most of his humanity. He just isn't humane. He's humanity cranked up to eleven.

Superman is a humane alien.
Luthor is an inhumane human.

I like that description, yours as well Ken. That's basically what I was trying to say, perhaps with the wrong words.

I’ve also described them as “One is a super man, the other thinks he’s to superior to man.”

always and forever. I grew up as a Marvel Zombie, but in my teenage years I switched over to DC. I liked the characters more. It was a little weird at first, reading comics starring characters I had only known from TV and movies, but the summer of '89 primed me with the plethora of assorted Batman content.

Adam West made me a fan. Year One, Dark Knight Returns, and the version on the right here: Image

made me a believer.

If you’re fond of the Adam West Batman (and aren’t we all, deep down?) then you owe it to yourself to see Batman versus Two-Face. Adam West’s final performance sees him going ham-to-ham against none less than William Shatner! It’s glorious.

It's on the to-do list. Finding Batman stuff, or any DC stuff, on streaming is difficult lately. Maybe when the DC Channel goes live it will become available again.
