A thread for rules questions

Post by badpenny »

While the board is open to multiple systems, it seems like it'll [maybe] primarily focus on M&M and a dedicated rules threads seems like a good way to go given it's so prevalent.

Thoughts?

A solid idea. I'll look into setting up a rules forum later today.

Are you able to move the relavent threads over there as well?
Am I dead? Am I alive? The answer may surprise you!

Nice. I suppose my thread in the DM's Screen needs moving.

You're going to need more admins, Ares!

Yep, it isn't a problem.

I'll likely add some at some point, but for now I'd prefer to handle things myself. I'm still getting the place in order, people are still settling in, and I want a good idea of who'll be sticking around for good before I start asking people to assume a Mod position. This whole fiasco started because of a lack of trust and communication between mods and posters, and I want to avoid that at all cost. That means picking folks who'll be here for the long haul, that both I and the posters trust, and have the qualities I feel will prevent issues with the board rather than cause them. So for now, I'm just going to have to ask everyone to trust me with their problems, and I'll handle them as quickly and best as I can.

Why do I get the feeling that we might be looking into electing our forum mods?

Though, that'd make for an interesting set of debates. Like campaign speeches from the various candidates on why they should be a moderator, and what to expect from having them in that position. Followed by a meta-commentary on how the effect of delivering a speech is somewhat hindered by the fact that we're reading them or something. I dunno.

I doubt it. This is Ares' playground. He fronted the money; he's the Admin.

If he decides he needs Moderators besides himself to take on some of the work load, he'll find them.

Yeah I'd much rather he pick someone he feels he can work with than let have someone he may not know that well pushed on him.

So, apparently eye-rolling doesn't imply sarcasm. Noted.

Because I was attempting to be sarcastic. Honest.
