There's this advantage I thought up, and it's pretty much just a find and replace of 'Speed of Thought', I'm mostly looking to see if it's sufficiently balanced and sensical in premise.
It's called "Martial Training" and what it does, essentially, is, "Allows Acrobatics and Athletics to be modified by Fighting instead of Agility and Strength respectively." Would this be balanced as an unranked advantage, or would it be more balanced if it were a 'Ranked (2)' advantage wherein the character takes it once for each?
The premise is that since Acrobatics and Athletics are commonly used saves against combat maneuvers, as well as tests of physical fitness in general, it would make sense that a martial artist could have trained in these types of challenges and be better at it than their general physical tendencies and skills in similar tasks might let on.
Advantage Concept: Martial Training
Re: Advantage Concept: Martial Training
Normally it takes one Advantage to shift a skill from one Ability to another. So if you wanted to use FGT as the basis for Acrobatics, that'd be one rank; Athletics to AGL a second rank.
