Man, this one sucks. I'd been watching his show for ages, and even caught repeats of No Reservations. While I found his show had taken a dive in quality over the years (the best were the Japan one and the one in Lyon, France, at Paul Bocuse's restaurant), and it was getting a little too artsy (the Seattle one was particularly kind of weak), I loved the travelogue/tourist thing.
He was smug, a bit self-righteous, and hostile... a great combination for someone who works in the food industry. He could make fun of himself on his show, and was always brutally honest.
