Sorry correct, the Superman we get is almost entirely the Post-Crisis/Pre-Flashpoint version of Superman. With a few nods to the Nu52 to explain the continuity stuff.
Also, Jor-El looks like a one-eyed Marlon Brando, so we at least have that.

Its more a Clark ultimately decides to let Jor-El spend time with Jon, and Lois chooses to go in an effort to provide the guidance they want for their boy.
