Yeah, this sucks. I personally don't think I've read much of his work, but his creations have stood the test of time- arguably more than any other comic characters created after the 1960s.

We was a huge influence on my comic buying, without me realising it. My very first JLA comic (#110) was written by him. My two favourite JLA/JSA team-ups were by him (100-102 & 113), one which my uncle had, the other was collected in one of my favourite DC digests.

And when I got actively into collecting when I was 13 or so, it was if every series I started picking up was edited by Mr. Wein: JLA, New Teen Titans, All-Star Squadron, Batman and the Outsiders, Who's Who in the DC Universe.
