I've been thinking about it, and Invincible's upcoming ending reminds me of Fables ending. Both books built to a massive story finish halfway through their runs, then just kept going with the "now what?" rebuilding phase. Both books either got bored writers doing weird stuff or general half-assing it (Great Fables Crossover/Toyland; Mark on Parallel Earth/Robot Takes Over/Dinosaurus Arc). Both got rid of a few too many good supporting characters (Invincible is hilariously like DBZ in that regard, despite Kirkman's insistence that he never watched it- Only Viltrumites Matter, basically). And both had their endings announced almost out of nowhere.
Here's hoping Invincible's ending's at least a little better.

Yep, quite a bit.
PS I read the first post going "Wow, I agree with this guy a LOT."

Better than looking at the first post and thinking that guy was a complete idiot.
