Because you guys are fairly new to D&D I'm going to give a few relevant tips/reminders.
With regards to traps (I'm probably not going to use them super often but they are on the table, especially since I plan to use plenty of pre-made material) particularly since you do not have a rogue in the party; traps and secret doors can be located by anyone using an investigation or Perception check, making disarming/avoiding/unlocking them possible.
Also a reminder, Ector isn't the only source of healing in the party. Celestina has Lay on Hands (I think you can only heal 5 hp per long rest at this level) and you have two healing potions.
That said, falling back is a perfectly legitimate option to use... especially since it means I won't have to run two combats at the same time. I'll have a response to the game up soon, its been a busy couple of days.
