To clarify for Ysariel's current turn:

Just to inform you, they changed how Attacks of Opportunity work in 5th edition so moving into melee range would not provoke one. I had to look it up for Evan's last move, I instinctively thought 'shouldn't that trigger at least one attack of opportunity?' so I checked the rules. Essentially AoO trigger when someone moves out of melee range unless they use a disengage action.

I don't think there's a standard rule for skills in combat, so the effect of such is up to me as DM. In a situation like this I'll certainly allow it.

Do you still want to stop just out of Melee range? You have enough movement to move that last square.

I like to imagine that Tina has this magical story in her mind where "Evans" is her kungfu halfling battle butler.
With Ector as her quirky chef and of course Sariel as her "magical girl" best friend.
...
Aaaand I think I just turned this into an anime.

And now I'm imagining many years after your group is done adventuring that some Bard with a fanboy-like bias towards Celestina describes the party as exactly that, with Tina as 'The Hero' and the rest of the group as her quirky sidekicks.

Oooh, that is an evil plan.
I like it.

Sariel has the more useful spell, but Ector might be helpful with Thaumaturgy.

You create one of the following magical effects within range:

-Your voice booms up to three times as loud as normal for 1 minute.
-You cause flames to flicker, brighten, dim, or change color for 1 minute.
-You cause harmless tremors in the ground for 1 minute.
-You create a sound that originates from a point of your choice within range.
-You cause an unlocked door or window to fly open or slam shut.
-You alter the appearance of your eyes for 1 minute.

If you cast this spell multiple times, you can have up to three of its 1-minute effects active at a time, and you can dismiss such an effect as an action.

since it might be a little beyond the limits of the individual spells as written, I want you guys to work out what you want to do for this and I'll let each of you that contribute to it know what you need to roll/do to pull off this con on the goblins.

I really like this idea have some thoughts on how you could pull it off, but its your show and I don't want to steal your thunder.
I am willing to give suggestions if requested.

I can't think of anything to add to the plan, so I'm good to go.

To be fair, I kind of expect this to be less of a slow methodical search so much as a fast walk from one end of the room to the other, so please feel free to up the difficulty or let me know if you want me to roll on disadvantage.

I'm kind of getting the "oh crap, let's go" vibe, but we'll see what the lovely ladies of the party think.

Ector's Perception check: 1d20+3 21

Edit: Added the perception check to Ector's last post in IC as well.

Okay I have Ector's search roll that I'll give the results of soon. And I have what Celestina's doing.

I need to know whether Evan and Sariel are going with Celestina or searching with Ector.

I suspect Tina is in the front, maybe with Evan second, Sariel last?

Sounds good. If no one opposes that in the next little while I will proceed assuming everyone is okay with that order.
