Ector Blagettal
HP: 11/11

Ector rubs his chin and quietly asks, "Do we know these are the bad goblins?"

He really didn't mind killing them if they'd been the ones that ambushed him, but he didn't really want to attack people if they didn't deserve it.

"Maybe Sariel has sleeping spell?" He asks hopefully then quietly adds, "Ector can make fog to help get closer, but Ector is thinking they probably notice how strange that is for fog in middle of day."

Célestina (Tina)

"If they are," Tina says in response to Ector's question, "they should be carrying medallions like the ones who attacked the caravan. But they may not be wearing them anywhere visible." She squints in the morning light, trying to see. If there had been a split in the goblin tribe, both sides could be counted on to identify friend from foe -- it would certainly explain the makeshift uniforms the bandits were wearing...

"Sariel, do you indeed have such a spell?" she whispers. That was also a useful option. But magic could be resisted, she knew, and a failed spell would likely force a battle immediately.

OOC

The goblins who attacked the caravan were all wearing makeshift uniforms. Are these ones dressed the same way?

Also Tina will try and see if they are carrying medallions like the bandits had. I will wait for the result to decide what to do next.

Celestina peers at the goblins across by the entrance. You can see a similar token hanging from the belt of the one closer to you and you can just barely make out the symbol on it from here. As best as you can tell they are wearing the same shabby outfits as the goblins that were part of the caravan ambush, although you aren't exactly an expert on wild goblin fashion trends.

Celestina is sure these are goblins from the same group as the ambushers.

OOC: continue your planning, I'll set up and post a map of the scene for your reference.

OOC: sorry it took so long. Here's the Map of the area.

Sariel Amastacia

"Sorry, no sleep spell. We need to either take them down fast with ranged attacks and charges or have our stealthy members sneak up on them and try to subdue them before they can cry out. An alarm going off is the worst possible scenario, I have a feeling we only saw a small number of the bandits and goblins of this group when they attacked the caravan."

Célestina (Tina)

"They are the same goblins. There's no question about it. Look; that one has the same medallion hanging from the belt." Tina points out the identifying device for the others.

She nods at Sariel and Evans. "Unnatural fog would indeed alert them. It would hamper us almost as much as the goblins, in any case. But Evans makes an excellent point. Ector, can you destroy the horn with a spell?"

She indicates the horn lying on the ground by the corner of the structure.

"Sariel, Evans, with me. We rush the goblins and overpower them before they can flee. Ector can join us once he's done and this ought to be over swiftly."

The goblin guards were clearly slacking off. Proper soldiers would be wearing the horn at all times. Tina was more curious with what exactly was inside that the goblins felt the need to post guards for. Clearly this was not a simple case of tomb raiding or graveyard vandalism.

Ector Blagettal
HP: 11/11

Ector considered Célestina's request with long look at the horn. It was a shame to destroy it when they could take it, but one sound from the horn could bring people from miles away.

"Is possible. Slog has been very kind to Ector," He says willing to give it a shot.

Evan Roadbound

Evan was going to support a stealthy approach to the horn, but if Ector could handle it at once... he was ready for a fight.

Sariel Amastacia

"Let's hope it goes well, they would still yell for help before being subdued even without the horn." Sariel was ready to charge in and freeze these goblins in their tracks when Célestina gave the signal.

Alrighty then, straightforward attack it is.
Goblin initiative 1D20 + 2 = [1]+2 = 3
Oh those poor stupid goblins. since they Nat 1'd it I'm going to let Ector go before them despite the goblins having a higher dex.

Initiative order:
Evan 11
Sariel 10
Celestina 8
Ector 3
Goblins 3
--------------

As you charge out of the woods the goblins are totally at a loss. However as you get closer they gather the few wits they have for long enough to stop picking their noses and actually draw their weapons.

Both you and the goblins shift position slightly.
Evan you're up.

Evan Roadbound

Evan came in with a leg sweep and then a palm strike, seeing to knock out one goblin for questioning.

Evan's first blow catches the goblin solidly in the face causing it to flinch back just enough to avoid the follow up strike. While shaky the goblin is still on its feet.

OOC: The first one hits the second one just misses. Goblin takes 5 damage.
Sariel's turn.

Sariel Amastacia

Seeking to end this quickly, Sariel took aim at the goblin Evan had already battered as icy mist began to swirl in her right hand and then lances out at the goblin with cold intense enough to freeze it to the bone.

OOC: Attack roll with Ray of Frost: Attack roll: 1D20+5 = [8]+5 = 13 Damage roll in the chance that actually hits: Damage roll: 1D8 = [3] = 3

Sariel's beam flies a little high, missing the goblin and leaving only a frosty patch on the stone of the tomb.

OOC: Unfortunately that's a miss, Celestina's turn
