I have literally no idea what any of those games are, but I havr a feeling that this would be exactly the way she'd to play this.

Go big or go home I guess, right?

For ties on opposed checks, the character with the higher
bonus wins. If the bonuses are the same, roll d20. On a
1–10, one character wins, and on an 11–20, victory goes to
the other character; decide which character is “high” and
which is “low” before rolling
I don't know what his bonus is, but I figure either way, whether Josh successfully followed him without being noticed or not leads to the same place, so not a big deal either way. Maybe just the difference between a heart attack or not. :P

Just to clarify as I read back a little, is the nameplate on the door NESBITT, as in the name Maria dropped? Or is it NISBET as you mention in the post where Joshua winds up?

It is Nisbet. I erred with the lady at the front desk.

Also, I'm probably not going to get an update in until tomorrow evening. I'm travelling for work and things have been a bit hairy.

Believe it or not, I have no idea what's going on with those cards either. Who knew? I've never actually played actual card games at all using suites... :?

Cindy is too intimidated by these old ladies to try looking at her phone.

Actually, I think I confused myself. I only had him pull out his phone as if making a text. Oops. :?

I've been under the weather the last few days due to a cold, unable to organize my thoughts sufficiently to write something creative. I'm hoping things are better tonight.

Admittedly, it dosn't actually matter, but I thought I had her "say what she's seen others say with the same types". IE, that she was picking up on whatever lingo they were using.

Though... Looking back, I think I missed typos in my post.

My apologies if I overdid the "rules are arcane and unexplained" aspect.

Either way, you're potentially getting answers. :)
