Unsure if hwr failed attempt at an attack would've been enough complication for an HP, so I'll leave that off the table for the moment. She will habe to go back and get her bat first though, seeing as she dropped it.

Honestly, yeah, the only real fallout is that you guys are out of position one round, and that was already the case before she charged.

I'm just having people keep their original initiative count to avoid having to wait for them to be rerolled.

I'm at work now, but I will update the game tonight.

I'm assuming, for the sake of ease, Cindy went back for her weapon first?

Er, wait. I though Express had used her action to Defend? What am I missing here?
I'll edit the IC post once I know what's going on.

She did. The Deflecting is next turn. Batgirl III, can you modify your post?

Technically speaking, failing the first save means you're Staggerd/Dazed/Hurt twice, but Staggered overcomes Dazed.

The Defend Action (and thus the Deflect power) has you making an opposed check of the appropriate active defense versus any attack made on you (or anyone you're Deflecting for) until the start of your next turn.

Och... the problem lies that you stated that you were using a Defend action in preparation for using your Deflect, not that you were using your Deflect by taking a Defend action. Which sounded like you were using the Defend, hunkering behind the desk, rather than preparing to defend others.

In this case, I'm going to stick with the narrative and OOC text where you said you were using Defend and describing getting under cover. Next time, please state that you are using the Deflect action and that you are defending people other than yourself. I acknowledge that there is ambiguity, but your actions didn't describe defending other people.

Express gets a Hero Point for me exploiting the nature of the described text and/or GM Fiat saying that she instinctively pulls her protection to herself instead of others, using the less charitable interpretation.

The only way to use the Deflect Power is by taking a Defend Action. :?
